Been playing some H.A.W.X. picked it up for $10 at Best Buy so I thought why not? I do get the strangest performance with it though. If I have the internet connected, 70+ FPS in DX10 if I disconnect it 18 FPS, but only if camera view is outside the plane. Plug the Internet back in... pops back up to 70 + FPS even if I mid game. :/ Why? I have no idea.



Also replaying Dark Sector, great game.

I love Project64, I still play Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on it for nostalgia lol.

Also been playing a lot of The Saboteur, great game, runs so well and is really addicting, here are a few screens, can't post them all. I used the free "adult" content unlock for the PC version... You know the one console gamers need to pay $3.00 for, as if you needed another reason to avoid consoles.

Ah The Saboteur, the last game Pandemic Studios made before closing . I freaking loved Battlefront.

 

u guys should try the 64K version, it has online support. i used it in my old school in china for across classroom 4 player SSB...simply awesome haha.

First time playing a real COD4 game, and I think I was doing pretty good. After playing MW2 and cod4 paint ball mod, playing a real match was really easy.



Don't pay much attention to the server name, just picked one with a good amount of players and skipped servers I don't like.

 

Crysis runs surprisingly well on my little 3650, with most settings on Very High, Shaders on Medium, Shadows on Medium, and Volumetric Effects, Game Effects, and another setting on Low. With an unusually playable framerate too.

Yeah, but it auto balanced 5-6 times during the game because people were leaving or switching teams. The spawns were kind of bad, run to one side and tear through the enemy team, run across the map and repeat, it would have helped them if most stopped camping behind boxes/doors near the spawn.
When the next round started it was only 4 of us left.

 

Here's one from DiRT 2. Only got the game a few days ago and I'm using it as my wallpaper now.
The game is fun so far, looks awesome and runs great with max settings @ 1680x1050 with 2xMSAA, 40fps.

 

Very nice How is DIRT 2 compared to the first one?

 

I find the races in DiRT 2 very enjoyable and exciting and the cars are a lot easier to control (playing with my xbox 360 controller here) when compared to the first one. Looks much better too.

 

Cool cool. I've been having a lot of fun with the first DIRT that I got off Steam from a sale a few weeks ago. Maybe if DIRT 2 is way cheap at some point I'll get it, but I'll just stick with DIRT1 for now

 

yea dirt was the most epic single player racing game i've ever played. OMG, that game is sweet, beat it on 360 when i owned it, 970/1000GS, those darn "drive x miles" for achievments really me off! who is gonna spend an eternity driving 1000mi in DiRT?

gonna pick up DiRT 2 for 360 once i get other games that i want...more than DiRT lol.

I want to get dirt 2 but I hear there is a lot less point to point rally compared to dirt 1. Also from some videos that I have seen the co-driver only gives easy, medium, and hard notes for the turns. I like dirt 1's 1-5 notes. I have a $50 best buy gift card so I might pick it up tomorrow or Saturday.

Well its mostly notebooks here.

 

You can also set that (1-6 notes) in Dirt 2.
Go to:My stuff>>Co-drivers>>Call style>>Technical

 

Well generally, most notebooks won't have the power to drive games at that resolution, and those monitors cost a fortune.

I think there are a couple of users here that own 30" monitors, but they don't use them for gaming, or they don't post very much.

 

Thanks That would really bug me if I couldn't change the call style. Now that I know I can I'm going to pick it up.

Lucky. I can't get this game running at 20FPS, and I'm playing at 1280 x 800.

I really need a Clevo or something, I need an i7.

I can get 20~30 running around the city with higher-than-low settings at 1280x720, although I've seen dips as low as 10 randomly. I am running a bit overclocked though, been trying higher and higher speeds.

 

okay, so I got S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC from the steam $2 deal and was really only interested b/c of the 2009 Complete Mod. Now on my setup in my sig, I maxed out the settings at native res for the new mod minus no AA and get ~30 FPS around the starting area open world. I didn't check my FPS before the mod, but this mod really makes it look nicer and it feels more polished just walking around. WOW the game looks terrific. The shaders use look great, just like in Crysis. I am new to taking screens and what looks good but took a couple using FRAPS. here they are.

What games do you want to see? I know this is a notebook forum, but I can get you some Screenshots from my desktop setup or even from my mac.
It runs wow at 2560x1600 decently.
