Starcraft 2 - Friends List Database

I was on for a bit, but only saw 2 online and they were already in game. I just won a 1v1, rank 40 in bronze now. Although it seems the competition is slower than before the last few games I played. Maybe the better players have all advanced to silver... that or they feel sorry for me.

Trottel poked me, but I was furvurously engaged...

 

Im thinking about trying to slide in for a game, but that would probably be a bad training example lol....

 

Naw, tell your new person they're on their own for a while to see how they do, then sneak into a vacant location (with good network connection of course) and play a game.

 

She is on her own sort of, let her shadow me last night, now its the opposit tonight she does the work and only comes to me when stuck but that means I have to be around.

I could maybe go to the bathroom lol, but wonder if that would be strange to take a 17" laptop with a 12' long power cable dangling behind me.

Got strong wireless anywhere so thats not a issue.

this game is still unplayable on my comp. This game ran better during beta days, I had a constant 45 fps early, mid, & late game.

With minimal settings at 1080p, I get anywhere from 1 to 120 fps.

I'm not. I'm just saying that fps is extremely variable. But even then, fps doesn't count for much when it comes to gameplay.

 

ouch, my SC2 account is locked.

Says they detected a change in the way I access my account and I have to verify it via email.

So I am waiting for that e-mail to show up. I was just logged on this Friday, wonder what the fuss is all about.

I wanted to get on and play some co-op lol, I need practice super bad. I really love this game, just sometimes I lost contact with it because I hit a skill cap that I cant pass unless I play a lot more and I have tons of other games I like to play.

Watching a few SC2 replays online always remodivates me though.


edit: this is worse than I thought, I cant even log into the battlenet website, its saying my account has been compromised possibly, I am not getting the password reset emails and so I started the account recovery on the battle.net site and it wont let me do it, it says I must contact support to continue, and I hate having to do things like that they never go smoothly.

dang, support hours not open. Checked my spam folder, I have tons of fake blizzard email in there some of them are quite convincing so I hope the real ones are not mixed in some how.

Edit: got it fixed.

Could not do account recovery but was able to do a password change and that seemed to let me back in. I changed my password and account email address just to be safe.

Hmm, Vicious, could you also add to your original post that people should just hang out in chat channel "NBR"? That is, if everyone is okay with that. It'd probably be easier to see other people from NBR rather than having to add everyone from the friends list database.

 

When you want to suggjest somebody or add them to a map they need to be on your friends list though no?

I have no qualms adding the "offical nbr chat channel" but I do not see it as being any sort of alternative to the friends list, only a addition to the game to help us collaborate.

I have been in chat room "nbr" for 3 days and not see a single person on but I have had friends online each time.

Is the chat room case sensitive? is it "NBR" instead of "nbr"?

 

Yeah, definitely as an addition - not trying to replace the friends list. I just think it's another convenient way for all of us to hook up.

No clue if it's case sensitive... probably not. I've only ever been able to join it as "nbr". I've seen BaconPie and Reizo around, but that's about it

I've tried to hang around the NBR chat. Seen a couple of people on, mostly Baconpie.

Lately all I've been doing is practice 1v1s and ladder 1v1. So I keep missing people on chat.

 

should try the mumble server, i think vicious still hangs around there along with some other people from nbr

 

Except it's kinda cool because even if you're in a game, you can still chat with people in that chat channel during your game. Furthermore, if you don't want to chat whilst in game, when the game finishes you can read up on all the chats you've missed.

 

I use both chat and mumble.

I'll probably be on tonight for a bit for now I have one hour and 15 minutes to get a power nap before work.

 

Hey Vicious if things work out, I might be up for a 2v2 AI later. As usual we'll see how my rugrats work out.

In the end I found out that hungry Zealots eat probes if you dont have something else to feed them. (P.S My voidray was about to come visit you but I was just like 10 seconds too late)

 

I never planned on a zealot rush but rather it was something i did on instincts

I've started to sprinkle in some marauders, banshees, and techno vikings, but all they want to do is dance.

 

Let Reizo control them. He's so pro, I remember I once let him take control of one banshee, and I got that achievement for killing 50? units with a single unit.

 

I think they gave this more thought than you give them credit for.

16:9 (1080p) is definitely a standard in LCD monitors at this point. If they changed the way the view worked for different monitor ratios then pro gamers would have to get multiple LCD monitors and use them strategically depending on the map.

I think it's OK for a highly competitive game like starcraft to just say "16:9 is a standard, we are making a 16:9 game"

for people with other monitor ratios, you can put very small black bars across the top and bottom to get the 16:9 resolution. If you have a 1900x1200 monitor you should just run the game in 1920x1080.

other important non-interpolated resolutions would be 1680x945, 1440x810, 1280x720

 

Yeah Reizo is king of micro. I can macro decently, but if someone is an expert micro I will die easily. In one game TvT he had me pinned in my own base all around, no matter what I did I couldn't get the upper hand because he had combo tanks, vikings, marines, banshees. Only a few of each, but micro'd well enough that I couldn't destroy them to get out for an expansion even, lol.

 

Since when did these rumours of me microing spread >:[
