Starcraft 2 - Friends List Database

This kind of sounds like that official blizzard map, let me see if I can find it.

But out of boredom I drew your idea and sort of added some of mine:

M = Natural Minerals
EX = Expansions
HY = High Yield
WT = Xel'Naga Watch Tower

I put the High Yield in the middle because it will add more risk rather than putting them in the back. I also added some more expansions.

Sketch is a little bit rough but I assume that's your idea in a nutshell?

Maybe add some destructible rocks at the sides? Near players 1,2,7,8 on both sides?

lol made a mistake, I put the expansions for 4-8 in the front instead of the back.

Why not just go check the score screen and add him from there? There's a tab that allows you to look at your previously played game scores

 

Woot, finally hit diamond 1v1 over the weekend.

I'm gonna be busy moving into my new place this week, but good games over the weekend. Hit me up again on Friday, I'd love to try some of these custom maps you guys are all playing.

 

Im starting to feel the pain that TakeItEasy feels as a random player.

I won 4 games in a row today and moved up to rank 12 and upped my w/l ratio some.



I managed to spawn terran & protoss each time and was able to come up with strong unit combination and counters to my oponent, had I been zerg even one of those games I am not sure I would have won

The ability to wall in your base is very strong vs zerg it seems unless they tech up and expand and yout dont push during that time. I had somebody get a gold expansion and tried to bunker bust me 4 times with zerglings and bainlings and even though he finally got into my base the 4th try the amount of resources he had to waist to just get into my base let me easily go roll him with my marine/tank combo after I took out what was left of his attack force.

 

Yeah I like that idea, though I think I would want no way into the base other than the front, destructible rocks would sort of ruin the idea of the map.

Hey If I wanted to make sc2 so I can file it down and open it up anytime like firefox move the window around, How do you do that?

 

^In the video/graphics settings under Options there is a choice to run SC2 in "Windowed mode" allowing you to control what overlays into view just like any other window.

Looks like we got a couple of new people on the list. Its 40 members strong now.

For you guys that would like to actively participate in something NBR related, try to make it online Friday nights that is when I will always try to form a big party for NBR custom games so we can 3v3 4v4 or FFA against each other for fun. (and crash kybs computer thats our 2nd favorite past time)

Almost any other night or day of the week there is somebody on to form 2v2 or 3v3 with usually so just add everybody on the list and your guaranteed to gain something from it.

If I ever take a Friday night off to get some sleep then anybody else fee free to step up to the plate and try to form some NBR member games because the way things are lately I have not gotten a solid nights sleep in quite a while :/

 

I hope to be multiplayer ready in time for the weekend!

 

Maybe next week during the weeknights. Gonna be stuck in a hotel without much to do at nights. Y'all can play "Beat on Pitabred because he sucks"

Skill level seems to not have much of an impact on how much fun everybody has. In the FFA luck has just as much bearing on how you do as skill.

In the team games we would have teams as even as possible, and if all else fails there is vs AI for a self esteem boost or some practice.

 

Ive added myself to the friends list database, but alas im in Aussie so want be able to play with you all until the server patch is released hopefully very soon.

 

I'll be mass gaming this weekend. So I hope a lot of NBR'ers will be online.

yea my sc2 endeavors are over for most of this year since university started, it was fun guys! univ + work + outside = no more time for sc2, sadly. Maybe ill join in a few games when I can (when i get home at ~4 am MST) from time to time. Although I don't think many people play that late lol.

Added me to the list. I only play 3v3, but wouldn't mind other team modes. Even though I made it to platinum, you will notice me pulling some serious noob moves.

 

Fun games this weekend! Considering it was my first time playing Random, I had a blast. ;D

Definitely will try to be on tonight like every Friday, that has been nominated the official night of the week we should all try to get on and play.

Last Friday I got on about 9PM and saw almost nobody on and was disappointed so logged of and went to bed. Couldn't sleep and got up 2 hours later to play and saw about 10 of us on, so the trend seems to be most of us get on later in the night (plus I am sure time zones come into account some I am in EST time)

Our group has grown enough now that we can easily get a full party of 6 going and have others waiting, so soon it seems we may have enough people to form two parties and play, so we will need others with the initiative to form up a party when we get that many of us online at once. I sometimes invite 2 extra people to the game manually and do a custom 4v4 if there are only 1 or 2 people that cant fit into the party. I have no idea why the game does not allow for a party of 8 and limits it to 6, I hope that is revised in a later patch.

 

Actually we can make a multi-party using the invite chat system. I didn't know about it until my friend showed me. But yeah, I'll be on tomorrow, probably after 3ish PST. Since I have to finish culturing samples for lab.

 

A multi party? how does that work when the max map size is 4v4?

You will have to show it to me and explain it sometime.

Someone from NBR whispers me on battle.net. How do I add him as a friend?

Or for that matter, without knowing the 3 digit number offhand, how do you friend anyone on battle.net if they're not in the same party as you?

 

If you played with them, you can add them through the score screen. Right click their name and add as friend.

If someone from NBR whispers you, ask him for his id or just look at the database. Chances are he's there.

 

But I didn't want to alt tab out, open firefox, etc... that would have been asking my computer to die on me. Sigh, I should just buy a new laptop...

We rocked it, despite our A Team going-in-without-a-plan style! There was a point where it looked like the other team could have stomped over us if they kept the momentum going ... but they ran out of steam, I guess.

I can't wait to do some 3v3 or 4v4!

 

Yessir! We are the A-team, where the best plan is no plan! Worked for us Mr. Bollocks! lol. I'm sure if anyone watched the replay it'd be like watching turtles fight. Slow, monotonous, boring, but quite comical.

 

View as a list and print it, or open it on another computer, or just write them down

 

Another option would be to run SC2 in windowed mode so you can easily switch between adding friends and viewing the database. This worked quite well for me, but then again I'm on a 1200p screen so I've got plenty of pixels to work with.

 

So I went ahead and created a division for all NBR folks on sc2ranks.com.
It's just a fun way to look at everyone, keep track of those near your level, etc.
I added the first few people from Vicious' friends list... feel free to add yourself if I have not already!

LOL ... I lost all my placement matches, mostly either to cheese or me being Terran, which I am absolutely disgraceful with. So after my second ranked loss (game 7) I decided to be more ... proactive. Not trying to cheese, but I am definitely trying to get some good early harassment in. I admit, one game my harassment (7 pool rush) was a more effective than I intended ... that was a cheese win.

 

up to rank 14 in my 2v2 random quick match, won 7 in a row today.

nice to be back from my losing streak in 1v1 :/

it will promote me to platinum soon for sure at this rate since 2v2 is the last one that I am not platinum yet in random quick match.
