Anyone interested in playing CO-OP? I suck too much to play 1v1 but I love playing CO-OP against hard AI.

lol if you ever see me online in Bnet I'm always up for some coop, though it would depend on the map and how much sleep I've had as to how good I am against hard AI.

 

Hard AI is the max I can go against More than that and I get owned really easily

 

That is what I do every night. And last night was face palming because of total noobs that I got teamed with.

I mean so bad, I won one of the games anyways as zerg because of my harrasment with mutas and my forward zerglings spotted the incomming so I got spine crawlers up for the first rush.

Th second game though I was protoss and just couldnt do it alone.

VS AI is super easy for up to Hard, just make sure you have enough units for that first rush and from there counter or macro up some.

Static defense is like EZ win if there is a common choke but I hate using that method and you cant attack with static defense so it makes for a longer game.

 

For you guys that wanted co-op im on now for about an hour or or so. Make sure your on the friends list sheet so I have you added.

Yep fun, if we had more time could have gotten the achievement for a 15 streak.

That one we almost lost was just because I was waiting for the push then going to pump roaches, so the push came and i went to spam roach and saw it was greyed out.

I was like wth??? I know I built a roach warran, then looked at my building and had a evo chamber staring me in the face :/ at that point it was too late to put down spine crawlers and no amount of zerglings was going to help much vs the big push.

 

I'll try and log back in this Friday night. Help out in getting them coop achievements for everyone =)

 

On friday its large group games, co-op is what I do at night in the middle of the week.

I think 1v1 vs very hard AI is very doable. Try it in conjunction with those economy achievements - where you have to build 5 zealots/10 marines/20 zerglings in 240? seconds. If you can pull off the achievement, you should be able to pull off the win.

Insane AI on the other hand... is just dumb. I swear it's not possible unless you cheese.

Yeah I have been stuck on the win vs 4 Insane Terran win with 4 Terran achievement.

I won the protoss version with cannons, and I even won the zerg version via constant muta harassment.

But the Terran version is soooo hard.

Its actually 2 seperate achievements so I could get the kill 4 terran by using protoss and doing cannon rush, but I like to use the same race and get both achievements at the same time.

 

Hm, I've only done the 4v4 pvp so far with cannons. Haven't tried/succeeded in the 4v4 zvz or tvt yet (mostly due to way too much lag). I'll attempt them as soon as my new lappie arrives

I'm thinking about the tvt, and I can't really come up with anything. I think I'd probably do the two separately? You can win vs 4 terrans with a cannon rush. And you can probably win as terran if you play against 4 zerg with a combination of proxy rax and bunkers.

I dont like dota. Though I kind of like land of legend on WC3 a bit, but everybody was too good at it.

 

Don't worry I'm also really terrible on it You should try it out sometimes Get some other NBR members and practice around with AI

I've saved the replay because I really want to see what else was going on in that game, but I think a cast would be a lot of fun.

As it was "just" a fun FFA, and being so late, I was somewhat lazy with my base defences (i.e. I didn't have any) but it sure was a fun game. I'd like to FFA on that map again some time.

 

I was trying to mass queens and zerglings (and it worked somewhat lol) but userego (i think) wiped my mineral line and vicious's second push of marines and tanks wiped me :[

lol i held off you first marine, marauder push though it was too legit.

 

UserEGO(Henry Bollocks), BakaTora(Reizo), and I had some pretty fun 3v3s today.

Here's probably the best one, against 2 diamond players and one platinum.

So far we're undefeated.

Btw, UserEGO and I won all of our 5 placement matches in 2v2. You know what this means? This means that there is this immense, massive pressure on you to also win all 5 of our placement matches. Mwhahahahahaha!

I had a quick look at the replay last night ... there are times when I was like, "how is it that I've got 0 APM at the moment?!" Oh, and LOL at me having no units for the first half of the game. I could only get away with that because of you and Reizo putting pressure on the other team.

 

... you should totally FRAPS (or whatever) that game and post it to YouTube!

 

But yeah, I've been getting away with playing more or less every night the past couple weeks. It's ridiculous ... I end up staying up waaay too late. I think the missus is getting to the end of her rope with me and SC2. It's my only vice these days, but still, I suppose I'm going to have to cut back a bit.

I've asked her if she'd like to try it out, I've asked her to watch Husky or Day[9] with me, and she says she'll will - someday - but so far, no dice.

Anyway, I'm sure she'd be terrible anyway. God, I can't even stand to watch her navigate a website ... we're talking fractional APMs here!
