Yea that sounds pretty bad... Mouse is almost a requirement for RTS games. Even when it comes to FPS, I get my *** handed to me in MW2 PC, but when I play on my friend's XBox 360 with a mouse and keyboard hooked up, I always win :D

Walked into a Gamestop here in Tempe, AZ and they turned me away as they claimed to only have copies available for pre-orders. Walked into the Best Buy next door and they had 2 display cases with about 20 games each, and their game rack had another 50, and 2 CE boxes.

wow CE in stores? I thought that was going to be something for pre-order only due to limited quantities.

I think the CE being "limited" was a bit of an over hype to sell more... Blizz does a good job of making sure they have enough of what they wanna sell. I mean its good business sense to act like something is "extra" special when really they've got plenty.

yeah some people can't get the blizzard downloader to work since it's torrent based.

    uploading the patch for you.

gonna take a few minutes, it's 40mb. Patch is just some files you put in your Updates folder inside your Starcraft II directory.

if that doesn't work then there's a few more files I may have to upload for you that sit in your Starcraft II directory

edit: Day Zero patch for SC2. http://www.mediafire.com/?cm776cfhd45cqgj

other stuff to put in your SC2 main folder if putting the above patch stuff in the updates folder and then running the blizzdownloader and/or blizz updater doesn't work (or ya know if launching the game doesn't work):

Hmm.. It's pretty fun, guys. Even though I'm on like the 3rd level only lol. Too bad that we have so sign online in order to play the campaign... But I guess Activision does that so they can track people's cd-keys (two family members cant even install on two different comps in teh same house.. STUPID GREEDY AMERICANOS). Same with stupid games on PS3/XBOX nowadays: there's no more offline-coop games.

Anyhoo, what if I dont have internet connection? Anyone know if I can play the campaign offline?

you don't HAVE to sign in to play the campaign.

after the initial handshake from the server you should be able to sign in as a guest if you have no internet.

    'course you won't get achievements.

I'm gonna tell you that with the specs in your sig, and especially if that's a laptop, it might not run on anything above low, and very choppy. ESPECIALLY since you're running vista. I wouldn't waste my time. If you do insist though, PM me for the guest pass.

Login with your email addy/password. Then it'll pop up another box for you to create your name. The picture will just be the whiteguy with a black mustache or watever. Then it'll take you to the battlenet lobby thingy. My sn on battlenet is dookieoneone btw, if any of you loverboiz are interested :p Who knows when I'll actually be online to game though, since I don't quite have a working machine for battlenet yet.

Grrrr. I hate GAMESTOP! I preordered, and it now says its on backorder? I preordered so it would SHIP on release day. Not wait around for it to ship. I preordered to save $20 and I chose free shipping, because yes I knew it would take a week to get here, but now who knows how long.

Isn't the point of a pre-order is so that you can have first dibs at a game?

    There fixed ! :p

Seriously get on the phone tomorrow and call Corporate, explain the situation, you may get them to give you something for your trouble. That's no excuse for a preorder.

Anyway just a heads up, stop by Kmart they are also giving a $20 GC with the purchase of SC2.

    friendcode means this.

your userid, which you choose, and then your 3 digit identifier that's random.

userid's aren't unique, the identifier for that userid is.

Yes, once you are logged into battlenet, you go to friends. Then add friends and it will tell you your character code. To add someone as a non realid friend, you need their character name and code.

    Name: BlueAlien
    code: 847

Add me and we can test it out.
