np, im attempting ths game once more with latest chipet drivers and 175.19 gpu drivers, along with the new patches i hope it wont crash anymore..they delayed todays patch like 3 times...first it was 2pm, then 230pm, now 430pm, lol, wonder whats wrong

 

I tell you, 175.19 should be called "Age of Conan Drivers." My framerate went up, temps went down, and shaders look much better.

But, with SLi 8800GTX's... I don't think framerate is much of a problem! (When they will fully support SLi...)

 

another delay, servers wont be online till 8pm edt lol, looks like another 3.5 hours, they are having big big issues with the EU and US servers according to the update on the forums

 

The patch they applied to all of the servers caused "server instabilities". Funcom could've applied it to one server first, now they have to fix every server. I'm sure after the major updates are done by November, we won't have downtime like this anymore...

 

Yeah I saw the "Downtime for extra 2 hours" message.

 

They added four extra to the extra two.

Yeah, it's in it's early stages, and already showing some of it's capabilities. Can't wait till they get everything sorted out.

 

well atleast its happening on a weekday and not over the weekend, monday and thursday are good patch/screwup days

 

I agree, and their doing them at the best times.


Can't imagine how everyone would feel if their "Scheduled Down Times" started at 7pm.

The servers are back up! And I was just about to play Bioshock, instead, but I AoC better .

I see what you mean now, Halo. After this patch, I have had to shut my system down twice already. Here's a weird issue-

Right after the new patch installed, it showed the "Age of Conan is now up to date", but my computer made a REAL loud beeping/screaching noise from the internal speaker. (Inside the computer) It stopped, and I figured "no big deal". I loaded up AoC, and it made that sound again, but this time freezing the computer! I shut the computer down, turned it on, and checked everything about. When the game locked up, I was at about 71C, so no chance of over-heating. (I've never even seen artifacting... but I don't push my cards too far) I checked everything out, it all looked good. Loaded AoC back up, everything looked great. Running about 40FPS. All of the sudden, the game locks, but with no beep this time. The music continues, and I can move my "Conan styled" mouse, but the game is locked. I tried to Alt+Tab out, but it wouldn't let me. Then the game kicked back up, but only to be running at about 6FPS.

I'm done with this game till they fix it. Everything was perfect till this new patch.

 

yea my problem is different, and it just happened to me again like 10 min ago. the game will freeze, no bsod, no artifacting, just whatever i was doing in the game frozen still like a picture, then whatever sound was playing in the game loops over and over and over....here is a video that a guy posted with the same issue i am having, total pc lockup and force shutdown needed.

This is insane... everything was running perfect for me till this useless patch...

yea it never ends, before it would crash my video cards..then bsod my pc...now it just freezes, i thought it was my hardware or overclock untill i found out nothing does it but this game

 

Yeah, I see a big patch coming real soon... a lot of people are complaining about this one...

 

yep next monday hopefully it will fix these issues, been having them since like the 3rd patch or something, but it has become worse and worse..anyways hope to be back on soon...im gonna go lay down for a little bit now i just watched the new rambo movie and im a little traumatized right now lol

Scary thing... after that crazy beeping incident, my GPU is underclocking to 275/300 no matter what game, Power Profile, etc.

 

reinstall the drivers for the card and see what happens

 

Yup, it worked. Everything's running good now, aside from AoC...

 

ive noticed right before the game freezes that the framerates drop by half for like 5 seconds then freeze, just like what you kinda noticed, which leads me to believe its overloading the video memory, this game has a bad memory leak

 

Last night, after the patch update, I have to say I had the best gaming experience so far graphically speaking. My frames never dropped below 80 (Tortage) with an average of 92-93fps in White Sands and sometimes 105 in some areas. This is in Crossfire mode as well. Prior I was lucky to get 30-40fps and better with xfire disabled. High settings w/ Shadows turned off.

Note that the above statement holds true for my desktop. I have not had time to re-allocate hard drive space on my laptop to install AoC since beta. During beta I could play on Low/Medium settings with somewhat decent frames.

 

You haven't gotten out of Tortage? In Tortage, I was getting 50-60FPS, same, or more on White Sands. Once you get into real cities, your framerate will drop a bit.

 

Yeah,thats why I love living in the city,i hate the suburbs,all the internet cafe's over here have Age Of Conan now and it runs perfectly.

 

Actually, I was talking about cities in the game.

But it's cool your internet cafe's have Conan!

Age of conan got like 78%
and we also got crysis which kicks ass

 

Who would join a NBR-guild if there would be one?
I mean, I've got a lot of spare time and want to set up a guild.

Different server, and with all the weird problems I'm all the sudden getting, I'm not even going to try and create a new character.

Plus, I kinda dig the Guild I'm in... we already have a nice Keep.

 

The guilds in AoC are amazing,the whole siege concept is just brilliant!

Nice Fatality. What class are you?

Easily my favorite fatality is when I stab them in the stomach, twist the blade, then shove them off my sword with my foot.

He is a Lvl32, as it shows in the screen shot.

 

It's an archer, just look at the skills.

 

Good call, but I don't have an Archer character, so I wouldn't actually know the skills.

 

It's full of arrows on the pictues.

Oh, sorry posted it and went rafting, its a level 32 Ranger but we can carry a sword and dagger (Dual wield) and a bow and crossbow, I have an Assassin and a Tempest of Set also, you can play up to 8 characters.

 

Cool.My new laptop hasnt actually arrived yet so I cant play it but when I do ill probobly be an Assassin!

 

So... today's Monday, and no new patch? I'm about to call FunCom and demand some free time, as they have already told me they "don't know why it's crashing".

 

I got to mid 30s and lost interest in the game.

 

I loved every second of my time with it... until the blasted patch destroyed my hope...

 

What patch was this? I didnt make it past the first 2 weeks of play.

 

This most recent one. (Last Thursday) Everything was perfect, then they released this last patch, which screwed me all up, now all it does it lock up and crash.
