Interesting cast they have this time around. By the time TW4 comes out it's gonna be Geralt alone with a bunch of babes. No room left for you, Vesemir.
So 970 should be able to run it on ultra but with lesser FPS. Wonder how it would perform on 1920*1200 resolution. -

Has everyone forgotten Silé de Tansarville, Philippa Eilhart or Saskia the Dragonslayer (aka Saesenthessis the Dragon - f*cking cool name, might I add)??? All were attractive sorceresses in their own right, from Witcher 2. -
I'm with HT. Triss is hot, if that's her character depicted in real life.

I hope this game has stereoscopic 3d support like the last two games had.
-
I watched more gameplay videos and co-op can definitely work. In the beginning when you're with that old dude (e.g. HTWingNut
) he fights with you as AI/NPC. Throughout the game this occurs often. A second player can take this position.
Not suggesting that it will happen, but I can see it working with a few adjustments, such as difficulty. It's definitely possible.Last edited: Apr 29, 2015 -

I think this game will need modding for me right away so I also hope in addition to 3d compatibility, mod tools will be available very soon. Projekt Red has a good reputation with making mod tools so I hope none of those change. Also I hope for full creation that will not only allow for landscape changes, but actual character changes are even more important.
The mods I see aren't just typical landscape changes and design I'm hoping for ways more. I need to mod Gerald himself or allow for other characters to be playable or even created from scratch. I would love to use a bow and arrow as a main weapon or just one sword instead of two lol. I like the lead character don't get me wrong but I would love to fine tune my own or include things not in the vanilla game like more followers, more enemies and bosses, and even playable npc's.
Before I get feedback keep in mind I think the game holds its own as is. It's just mods like custom multiplayer and creating and using npc's and additional followers and armor would make this even more legend. I hope the modders that embrace skyrim will embrace this also.Last edited: Apr 29, 2015 -

I think this is a wrong game. At least I never heard any of TW games having something like that. If you're looking for modding features you need to go to Bethesda for that. -
MichaelKnight4Christ Notebook Evangelist
I'm not surprised you didn't know tw2 had a mod kit since it was shadowed by the enormity of Skyrim and they waited years to release it and skyrim was already king. PR has made modding tools for tw2 and they already promised to release kits for tw3 as well. This game is now a full open world game and has stepped up much since the last game so I hope they also step up what can be done as far as modding is concerned. I'm hoping more can be done this time around.
PR mod kit for witcher 2 called redkit:
And confirmed for witcher 3 article:
http://www.idigitaltimes.com/witche...ekt-red-ceo-because-company-run-gamers-427250
It would be sweet if the tools will allow for some more fancy mods and I gotta hope modders embrace it also as they have done for games like skyrim this time around. Since witcher 3 is a new big open world game it would be neat to have mods to match its stature. I guess time will tell and anybody who knows me knows I am very patient and in no hurry either.Last edited: Apr 29, 2015 -

I knew there was a mod kit, but I never saw such variation of mods like you usually see in Bethesda games.

Thats why I am saying that I really hope things will improve this time around pal. -
I dunno, Yennefer looks a lot like Eva Green from Penny Dreadful.

Yeah I know what you were saying. I love me some bow and arrow action in RPGs, would like to see something in TW as well. But at least now we're getting a small crossbow, maybe later we'll see something more, though I'm not seeing Geralt as a big bow user. From the way character is made/written, he always left an impressions that he prefers a more "hands on" approach, aka swords.
As for custom character creation mod, well, probably it's an idea some players would want, but for me it would be a big lore breaker. But as long as there are people who would want it it's fine by me, though I personally wouldn't use it. -
And FPS is all of them.
-
Wait.. So what mods do you see that need to be made already? Before the game is even out? It's going to be fantastic..

Indeed. I enjoyed every bit of TW2 Assassins of Kings. I would rather support these newer devs who genuinely put care and love for the game while developing it, rather than the mechanical, soulless mass-production that EA does. -

I agree with you bud, mods or no mods from what I have seen this game looks fantastic. I never really got into the witcher games before or the lore but as games goes it looks well rounded but mods will still be necessary to take it to the next level. I know most people get excited over pc games over console versions for 3 major reasons Graphics , cost, and mods otherwise steam would not have millions of users and people would be on consoles only.
as far as mods go my sons and I can spot some things right away... a good start would be some console commands.
For the Redkit type mods full control must be given to the characters not just the landscape. If so then i'll list a some that come to mind:
1. Character editing for Gerald simple things are best, texture edits to his hair or eyes or weapons height or allowing complete switches to the female playable character ciri and edits to her as well. (whats good about ciri being playable is that she is a female base and more custom creations can be made with her animations ect...both she and Gerald would be altered)
2. allowing for more followers to assist you using npc's or like " a band of witchers together" as followers. With this difficulty or enemy numbers would have to be increased to balance out the game or it will be too easy.
3. custom spells or potions and maybe enhancements to what they do for example "anti gravity spell" lol
4. custom or enhanced combat mods like kill animation frequency and different sword attacks or usage.
5. lots of wildlife and some would make great pets as companions as well as riding different beasts or even enemies or the people of novigrad as your companions or model swaps.
If they make a tool kit on par with skyrim creation kit then I think sky would be the limit with modders embracing this game in a similar way as they did skyrim. -
That's cute. You know, once upon a time, gamers felt the same way about Valve. And you wonder why we get a bad rap...killkenny1 likes this.

I dunno. Maybe you've got to be trusting sometimes. Maybe you rely on past games that prove they can do a good job. Maybe the fact that they delayed it nearly a year to get it polished gives them credit. Maybe they're not American, and their Eastern European background, and the fact that Wiedzmín in Poland has a huge following has something to do with the way they treat games, and the pressure on them to make a great, well-received game is huge. And maybe, just maybe, you could be a little less condescending. -
Real cute

I like how you cherry-pick that statement - and disregard everything else. Sounds legit. -
Apparently everyone who disagrees with you is 'condescending' cuz I'm not the only one you've labeled
-
Ionising_Radiation ?v = ve*ln(m0/m1)
It's not the disagree part, its the 'that's cute' part that's condescending. -

They should release a demo to see if people can even run this on their pc or test for bugs/issues.

Yet another of Gopher's videos, this time a quick debrief of his visit to CD Projekt:
And here's Part 2 of his gameplay:
Finally, here's AngryJoe's gameplay video:
Apparently CD Projekt invited many famous YouTube streamers over for a chill-sit-back-relax-and-play-Witcher-3 session. If only someone had asked how the game would scale its performance on laptops with less processing muscle than those GTX 980s.
@octiceps I think there's your reason for trusting CDPR to deliver a good game - I don't see any other game dev actually giving others a chance to play it beforehand and the response and opinions to the game so far has been unanimous - unanimously positive. -
I never understood why people watch so many gameplay videos. It spoils the game for yourself, unless you don't plan on purchasing it... Then I have to ask what the hell you're doing in the first place? Pretending to play?
-
It's because hype and pre-order culture drives the game industry. Couldn't be more true for Witcher 3. I feel like I've already played the game, what with the constant barrage of new screenshots and videos the last few months, which is now reaching fever pitch.
-

I prefer a demo released to the whole public its annoying SOME get to try it and not others. Pc gamers especially since every rig is different and more bugs and errors occur sometimes due to the differences.

Now I know why Michal wants a mod for character creation - he wants to make a char which resembles him and get some of that shweet lovin' action

OMG, we need to support CD Project Red pronto!

I don't know about other people here, but I remember when Valve was considered evil, even back in HL2 days. Remember how they made you use Steam to play the game, (and also banning craploads of people for using "fake" keys) just like EA and Ubisoft are doing it now? Oh, and Steam was a crap back then, just like it's now (still better that Unoplay I guess, but still way too bloated). It's only after they started pushing cheap games people changed their minds. Give something for cheap/"free" and see people follow you.
Sure will come in handy for a TW game

It's a cycle which comes and goes. Like you said, at first ppl hated Steam/Valve. Then they loved it and worshipped at the altar of GabeN every Sunday. Now they're back to hating it. Gamers are an extremely fickle and emotionally driven audience.

I've seen like a couple 8-10 minute videos. There's about 100 hrs of gameplay being reported.
-
I've seen like 20, and quite a few 30-60 min long ones. Last few weeks, new screenshots been coming out every single day.
-
I watched a 15 minute one by IGN, and was like... Wow, just ruined the introduction to the entire game. It was a great watch, but I am staying away from the rest. I don't want to know everything before I get a chance play it. This leads to prejudgements that may sway my opinion one way or another (of the game).
-
I have seen nothing about this game. And I like it that way. Pre-Ordered through GOG. Gabe is nit getting any of my money for this game. I use third party sites for retail keys.
-
Ionising_Radiation ?v = ve*ln(m0/m1)
Fair enough - but you guys should see that debrief video. Doesn't contain much game footage, if at all.
One question - I preordered through Steam. If I cancel that, will I be directly refunded back to my card or does the money go to my Steam Wallet? I'd like to use GOG or retail this time... -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
TW games are recoverable on GOG. What this means is that if you buy a game from Steam, you can use that product key to recover that game on GOG as well. I've done so with TW2, doubt they changed it this time around.
But if you really want to proceed with this, then yes, refund money will be added to your Steam Wallet. -
Ionising_Radiation ?v = ve*ln(m0/m1)
I just did so with TW2 as well. But the thing is, I'd rather my money go to GOG/CDPR than Valve, taking in mind recent events and such. Thanks for the info, though.
