Looks to me like its the WX 7100, its got the correct ID number on the card in the image, he shows it in Device Manager, for some reasons he also refer to it as the M390X but you know how Taobao listings are like LOL. Pretty sure that is a WX 7100, however it seems to be used or sparepart??

More is better, as Mr. Fox would undoubtedly agree, but only of you're comparing apples to apples. The ratings and quality between identically-sized components can vary immensely. So you'd have to look up the part nrs. (on mouser or digikey, for example) and compare their values. Just to give you an idea; there's ~25,000 different vrms listed, ~65,000 different inductors and a whopping ~250,000 different capacitors. That is only smd though, so there's actually a few 10,000's more of each.

    *sigh*
Thats what I was getting at. They're selling the M390X for that price, not the WX7100.

That looks exactly like a w7170m. the list price isnt bad but shipping and other fees may make it the same price as the ebay listings when all things are said and done.

Last time I checked, W7170M's go for $200, and that is $175 + Bhiner fees, so not really worth it in light of them selling the WX7100 for $275 or a 980M for ~$350. I've also seen a HP WX4170 and have been thinking of picking it up for $190 or best offer

    Got links on the Wx7100?

Would like to save for later. 980m has easier access but its the same performance and right now I am rather jaded with nvidia at the moment

    @SMGJohn
please don't confuse the VRM's and Chokes (R22).
    MSI 1070 uses these VRM's:

    http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/csd87350q5d.pdf

(apparently same vrm's used on Clevo mainboards).

I don't know what *EUROCON* uses.

Just a quick but in, but XDMA CFX works in my P377SMA with dual M6100's (no VBIOS mods), and it's scoring near a 970M in firestrike (6200/8000 Graphics/10K Physics). Everything seems to work fine, even the 120HZ eDP screen lol

Its weird the m6100 didnt work on the Ranger with eDP so I assumed they were not enabled for that signal type.

Of course my motherboard did die later on so thats always a factor.

Yeah lol, but I have weird revison GPU's that don't let me flash the unlocked VBIOS's. Also loading up RotTR right now, the only other game I have that really supports CFX

    I couldnt flash mine either.

It seems that the unlocked vBIOS's were never really finalized as they had issues maintaining the clocks anyways. Valuxin had moved on to another system after his m6800 died on him.

I contacted GeCube to give me a specific part number on the VRM.
They replied VERY quickly mind you, the GPU core uses uP9509 and uP1666, and the memory uses uP1666
I cannot find anything about these anywhere though on those websites you linked, I know they are both made by uPI Semiconductor, I know for a fact that 1050 and 1050 Ti uses uP9509 including 1060, the 1070 uses them for memory.

Again those are the same VRMs as the Founders edition desktop 1070 and 1080. You can follow desktop FE overvolting guides exactly.

Quadro P4200 and P5200 spotted on ebay.

    Quadro P4200 has 2304 cores
Quadro P5200 has 2560 cores (same as 1080)

Both have standard MXM 3.0b format. I kinda want to try out the P4200 but those Quadro prices....

Those are probably Max-Q variants judging by the VRMs, at least on the P5200.

Not sure about that. Both P5200 and P4200 have similar setups.

    This is the P5000:

Exactly, which would further indicate that the P5200 here is Max-Q (110W) since it has the same number of power phases as the P4200 (115W) and P5000 (100W). The normal P5200 is 150W.

    https://www.nvidia.com/content/dam/.../quadro-mobile-line-card-n18-11x8.5-r4-hr.pdf

In that case the P5200 Max-Q is a waste of money since it gets outperformed by the P4200, as we saw in the Dell Precision 7730

I see, which makes the P4200 the interesting choice since it's cheaper than P5000 and should outperform it too.

u can be sure of that, since were talking about quadro cards here.

as for the Max-Q clocks, theres always overclocking with the right vbios :p

btw, link pls to P5200 and P4200 on ebay. no results when i searched...

I'm not sure it would be a good idea to flash a 150W P5200 vBIOS onto that card. Looking at those VRMs, I probably wouldn't put more than about 125W through the core unless the MOSFETs are well-cooled. It's a 3+1 phase layout similar to the 78W MSI 1060N MXM, which at least is better than the 2+1 design on the 78W/88W Clevo 1060N MXM that has basically no headroom in terms of TDP modding.

A bit old but I just found it curious no one mentioned it.
    https://twitter.com/EurocomTech/status/1047941581788127234

Eurocom asking people if they want Vega 56 in high performance laptop, Vega on MXM basically.
So what exactly is going on here? Is Eurocom looking to launch themselves into MXM designs themselves? Or perhaps there truly is a Vega out there on MXM screaming after me to buy it.

HI everyone. I have been building heatpipes professionally for years. Here's a P870DM-G with GTX1070 and a headpipe from a GTX980m desktop. And overclocked to 242 watts in the desktop operating 30-40 degrees under full load max 72 degrees with 242 watts !!! 20181020_225637_resized_1.jpg 20181020_225645_resized_1.jpg 20181020_225704_resized_1.jpg 20181020_225720_resized_1.jpg 20181020_225726_resized_1.jpg
