I'm wondering how these two compare. I've read/watched reviews and they say the 9400m is good for low-med settings of games. For the ATI 3450 they say it isn't very good for games at all. so, if I were to take one against the other which would win?

Thing is, the Radeon has it's own memory that isn't sapped from the RAM.

Also, NotebookCheck is notorious for not too scientific testing, if memory serves. Only good as a general reference point.

    The 9400m has it's own dedicated memory. It's ddr3.

It is nerly impossible to find a review comparing these two video cards. I did some Googleing and it seems, that these two cards perform almot the same. Do not expect good Crysis gameplay, because they are not very fast. these are not video cards meant for serious gaming - they score 3100-3500 in 3DMark 06.

Neither of them are all that great, but on comparison level the 3650 is better than the 4570.
Both should be capable of medium-ish gameplay.

4570 has a 64 bit bus, leaving it well, very weak. Go for the 3650 or better if you can.

I'm not saying 4570 is better, where'd I say that? Get the 3650 or better, the 4570 is weak for gaming. All it is, is a step up from integrated.

Well, you said in your other topic you can get an Asus. Get an Asus G50VT. It has a 9800M GS, which is a pretty powerful GPU. Still in the 1100 dollar price range.

Well, you said you can buy Asus, I suggested an Asus but you said that one is not available to you.
How do any of us have ANY idea of what is available to you? Should I blindly keep making suggestions until you say "oh yeah, I can get that one"?
    Cause I'm not doing that.

Post links to the websites you can order from, and we can find you the best laptop in your budget from those places

    Hi.
I want to buy a laptop that has an intel X4500MHD
my desktop has geforce 7300LE and it can handle the games I want to play.
    I wanted to know :
can X4500MHD run games like 7300LE?
    Is it better than 7300LE?
    Is it worse than 7300LE?
    thx
    -------------------------
Can you tell me , what Nvidia (Desktop - 8 Series) card has exactly same performance with X4500MHD?

That thing score around 500 in 3dmark06... Yes the x4500mhd is definitely better. The closest desktop equivalent would be the X4500HD which is basically the same thing. It still get it's pants whooped by the HD3200 though... But it'll play better than the 7300le.

They're pretty much the same. In different games, one may outperform the other due to game optimizations for a certain brand GPU.

I'm pretty sure this was answered in another thread though...people need to stop double posting, especially after they've already gotten an answer.

The first page of this post lists the most popular graphics cards in order of power and cost.

The 2600 wasn't listed because the post only goes back so far (just like how my gefore 7000 isn't listed) in terms of graphics cards.

Also I believe the 130m is just a 9600m with high clock speeds (I might be wrong on this), which is why that isn't listed either.

Except it is made in 55nm process, thus can have higher clocks, less heat is produced. The chipset is same though.

according to this thread the ati HD3650 512mb GDDR3 is just below the nvidia 9600GT GDDR3 so why have people been telling me its just a bit less powerfull than the 9600GS when its quite a few places higher than the 9600GS on the performance list?

is this an error in the performance list?

The 9600M GS is the same card as the 9600M GT except it has lower clockspeeds. Upping the clockspeeds equates to a linear increase in performance. I have seen 3DMark06 benchmark results for the 9600M GT ranging from the 3900 range to the mid 5000s, so clockspeeds make a big difference. More or less the 9600M is on par with the HD 3650, there is no significant difference between the two; with both cards you are going to have a nice gaming experience.

Hello, I'm a bit confused which card is better 9600M GT DDR2 or HD3650 DDR2? Acroding to the "big chart" seems like HD3650 is better:

    Nvidia GeForce 9600M-GT DDR2
    Nvidia GeForce 9650M-GT DDR2
    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650/3670
    Nvidia GeForce Go7900GS
    Nvidia GeForce 9600M-GT GDDR3

and acroding to the "performance video cards chart" 9600M wins:

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 DDR2
    Nvidia GeForce 9600M-GT DDR2/9650M-GT DDR2
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 GDDR3
    Nvidia GeForce 9600M-GT GDDR3

    So how is it?
