So I take it the 3740qm with a 7970m and 32gb of ram should just about cut it?

Watch Dogs will not run on Dual-core CPUs and 4GB RAM | GearNuke
okey this is getting ridiculous !Cloudfire likes this. -
You didn't expect dual cores to be below the requirements for a new-gen open world game?
I'm sure it'll "run", just quite poorly.
As far as RAM, the consoles are using 5GB for games, so that isn't surprising either, -
The sooner the industry moves away from dual-core CPU optimized games the better.
-
Watch dogs is another game that want more video memory too.
If you plan on using the ultra graphic settings, you need atleast 3GB GDDR5.
Watch Dogs On PC: Full Graphics Settings Revealed; Requires 3 GB VRAM For Ultra Quality Textures | GearNuke
I read that Hardocp and some members from overclock had stuttering on their 2GB high end cards which should have run the game smoothly but seems to have too little VRAM. -
This is the game for 2014.
Definitely buying it.. -
Considering the i7-4700MQ/HQ and i7-4810MQ score Passmark 8000-8500 where they say 9000-10000 required for Ultra, so even if your GPU can handle it most laptop CPU's likely will not. I doubt an 860m with 4GB would be able to run it at Ultra where one at 2GB will not, at least not without running as a slide show. Medium-High is fine with me. I'm glad they're pushing the limits. And if you want to game, there's no reason you shouldn't have at least 8GB RAM

watch dogs is leaked for pc also..here is a video of a guy playing on gtx 660 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzchdaorOY0
would be interesting to se the difference between i5 vs i7 and amd top end cpu -
I've been reading that the leak crashes a lot and there are lots of texture issues. Maybe leaked on purpose?
-
Leak me dry I just want to game ......
Haven't gamed since Nov' 13 and busting to play!!!! -

haha its working even on i3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26IfhAJ2yx4

i3 should be fine. It still has four threads. It's the C2D and similar that will really suffer.sasuke256 likes this. -
So I put down some cash on a preorder, I just hope my R4 is upto scratch, otherwise me going to put the game back on the market
3740 with a 7970m and 32gig -

the i7 4700hq is not considered as high end any longer
thx ubisoft !

My msi gt70 pc2 dominator (i7 4800,gtx870,16gb ram,ssd raid 0-256) in watch dogs give 31-55 fps. Ultra settings. Game is exellent.

With games finally using cpu more and dx12 coming next year I hope intel releases some devil's canyon mobile versions, 3.9ghz 4800mq version would be cool.

the 860M is 2 gigs -_- .. say lol..

what has most impact on vram usage besides textures?maybe a patch will come out for that
-
-
The 4 gigs are Kepler while the 2 gigs ones can be Maxwell (80% of the time) or Kepler..
Still they should have made the Kepler 4 gigs too.. -
-
game looks glitchy. maybe once its $30 its gonna be more polished.
-

game si to demanding..they lied that 670 is enough for ultra
-
Game eat ALOT of Vram.
-
I smell a massive day 1 patch coming. And knowing Uplay the download servers will probably be flaky or it will corrupt your game and/or Windows install.
-
Looking at screenshots posted around the internet of Watch dogs running at 4K.. the game looks awful, looked amazing at E3 back then i think
I wonder why is it taking 3GB of VRAM when Crysis/Metro had much better graphics and textures and didn't require that much VRAM to run -

nvidia will probably release new drivers before 27th..lets hope things go better..maybe ubi will also show some love for pc gamers with a patch haha
-
Well I guess this further cements my decision that I'm most likely gonna have to rule out the G750 JM with a 860m out of my options. I've been having an eternal debate with myself on which Asus is the best model for me, as the price differs greatly here in the UK and since I'm pretty damn poor I won't be looking to upgrade for a long time after.
It's a shame my patience for mid - high end Maxwell to come out has really run mega thin recently because of my dissatisfaction with my current setup at running Guild Wars 2. I just can't take it much longer.Curse you Nvidia!

Fantastic game.
Really enjoying it.. reminds me of ghost recon future soldier.
Feels like a mix of GTA IV and ghost recon series.
Runs great on both my rigs using ultra settings and smaa average average fps 30fps and smooth.
-
-
I found best visual settings at high and HBAO + with smaa. I might use sweetFX soon.
I cant see any improvement with ultra settings TBH.
Both systems run it great so the engine by ubiosoft is really good.
Here is a snapshot of the GPU load on the 680m.
As you can see it uses it fully and no drops or anything.
PS - am on 331.65 Nvidia drivers -

i tryied the game also..No big difference ultra vs high..but also no big difference in fps
-
fps ? settings ? OC ?
-
The more you play it the more it feels like GTA IV.
The map is huge ..
Enjoying it though -
I am the only one disappointed in how the PC version looks compared with earlier videos from 2012/13 ?
-
No, almost the entire community is, but luckily NBR doesn't make that much fuss about it. I am enjoying the game, although it's true that for the way it performs, it could have looked better.

Anyway I can't get a legit copy until the 27th. -

i got a modded bios from techinferno for my 760M..is anyone familiar with flashing bios?this could help me to play this game on high with stable 25 fps and up..cause i feel stuttering a lot when it drops below 25
-
Anyone using the 7970m and what are they experiencing regarding visuals? -
-
-
The key is to aim above 30fps. anything less you will feel it during the epic gun battles..
The car physics whilst driving is awesome you can do do air flip stunts off ramps.. pure insane stuff.
In comparison to GTA IV this is more enjoyable as the missions are more detailed and you have to plan them. Also the water is more realistic and the fun factor is higher.
I still rate max payne 3 > watchdogs + GTA IV. -
No luck here with my 8970m.
At ultra 1080p it stays steady at 20fps.
At high the frame drops too much, can't go higher than 35
At medium I get 50, with huge drops to 20.
I dunno if AMD will release a driver tho'
I just checked other videos on youtube. Almost everyone with a Radeon card ( even the HD 7850 ) runs it at medium. This is insulting as I also saw someone having a GT 635M and playing the game smoother than us at medium
Big slap to the face to Radeon owners.
