How is the game? -
it fun but the stutters make it very disorientating
-
Crikey - 144 hours into Skyrim and still exploring and finding new places and things to do! Great to get stuck into when the weathers is bad and time flies byso its all good.
Plenty of bugs though, I do get stuck in places quite often and can't get out but a 'quick travel' soon sorts that out. Turning into a werewolf in the middle of a busy town can be a bit chaotic

Tannenberg/Verdun...

Started playing Metro Exodus, game runs fine, but there's still many bugs (I have to restart game twice, in first hour).

I just completed The Norwood Suite. Brief game under 5 hours, but it was a genuinely unique and surreal experience.

Man, just finished Leon A yesterday in RE2 Remake, what a fantastic game. Looking forward to go 2nd Route Claire, then switch it up

Anthem and enjoying it
-
i'm waiting for anthem to unlock like a schmuck because i bought it outright and not with origin access premier.

Have been playing Anthem, but have stopped until the day one patch comes out on Friday and fixes most problems with the game. Right now I am level 18 and am in freeplay doing the tombs. Have done all contracts and NPC quests up to this point. Can't progress further in story or get any more side quests until these tombs are done.
-
Interesting, what part of the tombs questline are you stuck on?
-
Not stuck...was just saying that is where I am in the game and cannot progress further until those are done. All I have left to do is open 8 more chests and get 2 more multi-kills and I will have the requirements for all 4 done (have already been in 2 of them). I just decided to take a break and wait on the patch. Have seen where people have missed cutscenes and other story bits due to some of the bugs that will be fixed in the patch and I don't want to miss anything. Enjoying the game too much even with its flaws!!!
-
Gotcha, I like the patch. You could always create another pilot to see all the cut scenes or Google it on YT if you don't want to start over.

After completing the first mission of Anthem the game just hard crashes and reboots my laptop.....EFF THIS BS!
I am not playing any more of Anthem until they fix this mess! -
Stick with it until you get out of that beginning Hinterlands area. The game gets so much better once you get out of there into other areas.

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
In my case it never did...
-
Definitely not Anthem.
-
yeah i was hopeful for anthem....what a let down
-
the game just runs like rubbish on my laptop so i refunded it.
EDIT: Anyway, giving FC New Dawn a try and it's pretty average...that seems to be the case for games of this month - so meh!Last edited: Feb 24, 2019 -
Definitely Anthem, kinda irks me how Youtube reviewers nowadays are all overwhelmingly negative because it produces clicks. For some games it was warranted, like FO76 imo, but some like BF5 it wasnt.....not to that level.
But I have now 11 hours into Anthem and for me the game feels pretty good. The endgame might need some work (i ant there yet) but the gameplay itself has a nice weight and feel to it.DannyB513 likes this. -
I'm having a blast with Anthem. Yes, it has issues and needs more time but the gameplay is fun for me. I know a few people that didn't want to buy then game due to YT reviewers but they did the free 7 day 10hr Origin Access and found the game to be fun.
-
yeah I tried anthem it's pretty good i'd give it a 8/10
-
i feel like i need to play it at 30fps because anything higher is just not good enough for a stable, smooth experience.
-
What are you playing on? ETA: NM saw your sig.
I have a GE73 Raider right now. Waiting on the system in my signature.
The GE73 has the 8750H abd 1070 and I get between 60-85 FPS on high at 1080p -
it's in my sig
-
Binding of Isaac and Dead Cells... because I'm traveling. I miss my gaming rig. It's like when you suddenly stop drinking coffee, or anything else fun. Can't wait to get home.
-
Playing Wolfenstein: New Order. About on par with Colossus imo but far removed from the classic 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein' despite the modern graphics and story. Plays fine on 'high' at 4K with the Quadro.

Ze Division 2 open beta is up, so for tonight I'm gonna be playing it.

New DLC was released for SOTTR!
What's this, a new bow?
-
Started playing AC Odyssey recently.
I suspect that it'll take a while before (literally) kicking enemies off their own ship gets old. -
I need to finish AC:O
-
Finished Metro Exodus.
Now to choose between AC:O and Hitman?
Decisions decisions... -
So with these Battlefield 5 or Anthem offers with new video cards is there any particular favourite between the two? Anthem seems to be getting a bunch of bad press so I presume Battlefield?

A real tough choice... Almost like dividing by zero...DannyB513, cj_miranda23 and JRE84 like this. -
I hear some people have CPU problems with Anthem where the usage hits 100% and causes intense stuttering. I personally haven't had this problem with the old P870DM-G and have been playing it fine at 80FPS on med/high on 1080p.
As for what I'm playing now: Apex Legends (casually), PUBG (with former coworkers and friends), Escape From Tarkov (primary game), CSGO (aim practice), Anthem (with a group every now and then), The Division 2 (a more relaxing game when not dying on EFT when the game is released). -
I think I know what the culprit to why the GPU downclocks to 900-1000MHz when the GPU usage is 99% - the battery. For some reason the hybrid power usage system is causing the GPU to do massive downclocks when the load is at 99%. I tried with the battery plugged in and when the load does hit 99% the fps tanks, but with the battery unplugged and the laptop is running from the AC exclusively the issue is practically gone.
But I am gonna keep an eye on this. -
I've played AC:Origins for a while with very high hopes to spend a lot of time in it and then move to Odyssey but honestly it seems that they made some bad decisions on how the gameplay progresses. Compared to other similar games, I've sort of found myself losing interest in progressing. Not sure how to describe what I'm feeling after about 30-40 hours in. Basically you can never ever get overpowered which in a game like this would provide a nice feeling of achievement. Difficulty seems very linear and ...low. You can always only fight enemies which are close to your level range. A little lower, too easy, a little higher, still easy, a few levels above, completely impossible.
From what I've read Odyssey is even worse with this. Zero Punctuation review sums it up the best way.
