Started playing Detroit Become Human but apparently the PC version is still very buggy. Sad because I was really enjoying it. Can't load a mission about 7 hours in. Crashes every time, regardless of my settings changes. Apparently it's a pretty wide spread issue, search for "vk_error_device_lost". Not much I can do about it (played it on a someone's epic account).

To switch to a happier note, I am hilariously having fun with Cuisine Royale and the new small map in PUBG.

A bit of Sniper Elite 4.
First four missions - trying to be stealthy AF. Fifth mission - kill everyone!

Somehow DLSS looks blurry on screenshots, although in-game it looks OK. Might switch to SMAA 2x

I noticed it gave me quite the FPS boost in Control without much noticeable difference in quality. I don't know if i'd care much about what screenshots look like.. :)

Yeah, the quality difference in game is not that noticeable. Kinda wish RDR2 had this too. TAA looks like crap in there, and MSAA is rather expensive on performance...

Though I do like to take an occasional screenshot. Some games, i.e. TW3, RDR2, SOTTR, KCD, P3D, DCS, etc., have some really breathtaking views from time to time.

I think I got stuck on one of the climbing sequences in sotr and have not been back, that one is a lot less user friendly than the other ones, no highlighting where you can jump to specifically. Makes it an annoying trial and error thing that is not fun. Not much action in that one compared to the other ones either, all this badass stuff and you barely use it lol

Not playing much lately as I'm on an oregon coast road trip that has stretched out for a while, the osp campgrounds and a van really make for a great take your time experience. Couple that with off season deserted and you really can't beat it, I totally recommend it. Hit up the Natl Forests for free dispersed camping and youre even more set. Bring a 12v blow dryer though lol Get some Res7 in here and there.

IIRC there is an option to turn on and off those visual markings. They scale separately with difficulty, but I think you can also configure them separately.

    Just finished Detroit Become Human.

Every sci-fi, android stories fan should play it. It looks awesome, absolutely beautiful environments, the characters draw you in, the decisions change the story continuously. It's both relaxing, like watching an interactive movie and also nerve wrecking, anxiety inducing at times.
It's worth playing for a "good" ending. Very emotional, very rewarding.

Huh have to fire it up again i guess, it is that rotating climbing one i think. Finishec re7 main quest, its pretty fun but feels like a generic horror game just called res evil to me. Fired up silent hill 5, passable. i just dont have the energy to refigure out running sh2 and 3 on pc again. Those 2 masterpieces need proper pc remakes.

Started Crysis 1 a bit ago, just couldn't get past the wonky old school controls etc, Crysis 2 doesn't play too nice with my system for some reason. Still old school atm silent hill 5 and now getting back into arkham city.

Finally I've got around to install my HTC Vive (probably Alyx release date getting closer pushed me). I have to say I've been a complete idiot for not doing this sooner, I cannot believe how much fun I'm having with Boneworks. Never tried VR before (well except for a little while with Gear VR with the phone). It honestly does feel like this is the future and I'm kicking myself for waiting for so long, especially now that the Index is out too with better specs.

The Walking Dead - Saints and Sinners is next on the list.

By the way, if there are others with a VR setup boxed up, don't be afraid, take it out for a spin, it really is awesome.

Also a friendly warning for fellow VR beginners: especially with Boneworks and similar games which involve linear movement, it's very easy to give oneself motion sickness in the beginning. My first session I had to stop 15 mins in, on the next 20-30 mins, and so on. It does get better, now it doesn't bother me anymore and I can fully enjoy it. Don't give up but also don't push through it either. It's important to teach the brain to not associate motion sickness with every VR session. Proper settings help too. Good luck!

DCS World and a bit of messing around in Boneworks in VR.
DCS looks amazing in VR. I recon it will be hard to play it in 2D from now on...

Actually, I find I work more from home than at work. Just takes longer to do stuff as you need to use some stuff remotely from the server (which sucks). Plus, it's very unproductive to work on a single monitor versus two or three. I almost placed an order for ultra-wide today :D
If this continues I might have to drive to work next week to take additional monitor...

You can skip the account check with a launch command and still play the campaign. The Steam version doesn’t require the Bugthesda launcher either.
