glad I got back to Arkham Knight it is a pretty cool game, but very frustrating at times I'm 90% through campaign, and have all the dlc now. I'm going through oldies, was trying unsuccessfully to get my xbone pad to be usable on Fear 1, game just doesn't do camera/etc right even with xpadder, too bad. Since I'm on an old laptop I really don't want to wear out my keyboard and games are a good way to do that, controller only.

Oh man that racing mission. I recall I also had to do it multiple times, then finally I think I won handily once.

Finally played through the Witcher 3, quite enjoyable still have one of the DLCs to complete will get to it eventually.
Thinking about trying out a JRPG, ni no kuni 1/2 look to be well praised. I can also maybe finally pick up Dead Space 3, EA killed the IP so I never got around to it. May look at Dragon Age: Inquisition too, another title that I never really got into...Guess I'll have something to do over the weekend lol -

Good old times. Can't think of any current game which gave me as much satisfaction as Donkey Kong did on SNES.
-
I have all the Mario's and donkey Kongs for Snes...I'm having more fun playing a 2d game from 1992 than I am with over a hundred AAA 3d and vr games from 2010s and 2020

going with the season I've been into the evil within series. I actually like the first one best, there's a trainer that has an FOV slider and to speed up the character movement which really improves it for me. They really overdid the lense flare and camera effects in the first one. Second ones pretty good too though. I was thinking of firing up the old Silent Hill games like my fav SH2 DC but man it's a chore to get back into how to apply all the modernization fixes and get back into the whacky gamepad controls and camera angles lol Same goes for SH3.
-
I haven't played any of those, I should.
-
Yeah, evil within 2 is the smoothest for modern systems, unfortunately the old silent hills, my favorites, are a pain to make work well and controls/camera are not up to modern 3d standards so it's an adjustment. Even the recently released Silent Hill 4 on GOG did not include modern 3d camera nor remapped to modern system of controls even gamepad is a mess and it was originally a console game, they just made sure it would start and function on modern systems and pushed it out. EW1 has more level variety and better horror.hfm likes this.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta. Runs pretty poorly, mediocre graphics, gameplay is meh. Liked Modern Warfare 2019 a lot better.

The OG Max Payne and the recently released HD remake of Crystal Caves. The latter was not an Apogee game that was part of my youth, and I really missed out. It's a lot of fun and should have tons of replay value thanks to Steam Workshop support.

I just finished AC Black Flag main missions. The ending is beautiful. Edward Kenway is fun and charming.
Now, I am playing AC Syndicated. I got this free from Epic Games Store months ago. London is my favourite city and gorgeous to explore! Also, Evie Frye is adorable! She even got freckles on her face! haha -
Black Flag was probably my favorite AC game so far, aside from playing the first one on release.
I did play everything up to Black Flag and I got small ways into AC: Unity but I haven't played anything past that. I do own Syndicate (Thanks EGS) and Origins though. -

How is AC Unity now? Still buggy after all the updates?
AC Origins is my favourite. AC Black Flag is 2nd.
I love Bayek (his voice actor did a superb job) and ancient Egypt is awesomely beautiful. Only the parkour and assassination animations look simplified here. Well, Bayek is the 1st assassin and he was originally a warrior, so maybe he do not need all those flashy moves like modern assassins to efficiently kill his targets. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
I played it a year after release, just before AC Syndicate dropped, it was pretty solid and didn't seem to encounter any of those horrible release bugs.
The Outer Worlds finally dropped on GOG, so grabbed it. Really enjoying it so far. Has a bit of that Bugthesda Fallout and Bioshock vibe plus tongue in cheek humour from Fallout 2 (no surprises as it's a game created by two of those people). Saturation and chromatic aberration is through the roof though, even with CA disabled. Need to get some mod from Nexus to fix it, but otherwise yeah, a good game.hfm likes this. -
I didn't get very far in it, but it seems typical AC fare. I don't find it as bad as everyone was making it out to be. Seems fine.

Finished Arkham knight.
Yay...
Now what to play next? -
Prey is soo good.. I had a lot of fun with that one. Never did get the Mooncrash DLC though.
-
I think I picked it up on a sale, played for an hour but never really got back to it.
-
I enjoyed it a lot but towards the end I was just speeding around the levels to get the thing done. I remember I loved the main menu music.
-
Still playing Solasta, surprised how good a 5E game it is. Can't wait to see how they improve and expand it over time.
-
booted up crysis remastered to see if the bugs are worked out especially the lag spikes and to my suprise they are...played through the first level on can it run crysis settings with low ray tracing and yes i experienced some lag but it wasn't due to bugs just demanding scenes requiring more powa

Now that I'm stuck with my backup dual core i7 and pitiful firepro m4000 1 gb, (comes up as hd 7700m series per adrenaline), I've got back to the joys of low spec gaming, which is kinda fun tbh. My new used gaming laptop comes in next week sometime but idk with what I've got on this thing I'm thinking of returning it and going the cheaper route w a used m6700 and like k5000m or k4000m like I had before, I'm not an ultimate graphics whore lolz
theHunter COW uses the amazingly scalable open world Apex engine, really great. I can get 30-45 fps on 720p, low, no AA in a natural open world not unlike TW3. I can get the same with TW3 but at even higher settings. I even have RDR2 playing 20-30 fps at 480p lol. Had to go into the settings xml file and set it to that though, RS really doesn't want people on low spec systems playing the game. It locks you into 720p minimum and some TAA etc otherwise. I can get a consistent 30fps if I set the pedlod to the settings in lowspecgamers yt channel video and the gamespot low spec video, stick cowboys and horses lol. Ghostrunner had to set it manually to 480p as well but strangely if I limit it to 30 or 60fps it is choppy but if I have no fps lock it runs at 200 fps butter smooth, looks atrocious but is playable lol -
Been playing Dragon Quest 11

@TheReciever i really enjoyed DQ11, i still didn't truely finish it yet but i'll not spoil you
If you like it, i can recommand you Ni No Kuni II and it's the one i'm playing now.
Since we're confined again in France, i have more time to enjoy games. -

I'm on a Mario streak. Just beat Super Mario Galaxy, now playing Luigi's Mansion 3. Will probably switch to playing Star Wars: Squadrons or Horizon Zero Dawn afterward. And then maybe Cyberpunk 2077? Heh, we'll have to see what happens there next month.

Trying to give AC Odyssey a chance but I have to say it's not growing on me... and I can't explain why. It's very pretty, motion and combat are fine, no bugs so far... almost as if something is missing. Sort of has a Witcher like feeling but not much depth in this case. I don't know, I'm still running around the first island but it just feels bland... yeah, that's the word. We'll see, not much else going on currently.

just re downloaded the snes emulator 9x and downloaded like 100 roms including mario....man is mario fun

"wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle" - that is what Ubi games have been called in a while. Those first few hours is pretty much all you going to for the rest of the game. And if the game didn't get you hooked in those first few hours, it won't get any better...
What game are you playing now?
