I really enjoyed it, yeah it's a little low budget maybe but the music and atmosphere really got me into it. I got it off GoG on a sale and of course the no-DRM wins points for me alone.
-
No spoilers of course but all it does is take you back before the warning point there's no true after the ending free roam like gta etcjoluke likes this.
-
Oh damn.. I assumed that after all was said and done I could go back to running around the city. Well then.. I guess I better vacuum everything up before hand. Thanks for that, not really spoiling anything except now I wonder if there's a story reason for not doing that.. like.. V doesn't exist from a lore standpoint.. but I'm just speculating without knowing lol. I'll find out I guess!
-
Yeah thought I'd just save you some time really, there are endings so it makes sense but to me it just got like groundhogs day after a couple of endings sequences so just googled/youtubed the rest. It does save your side missions etc progress when you start the ending sequence so you don't need to worry about losing what you've done afterwards, you can just go back to before or go to the main menu/new game etc, but you will have the annoying "go see (can't remember) at embers" objective defaulted to when not selecting another side objective.hfm likes this.
-
Yeah I figured I could just load the save before afterward.. but I think I'm in the frame of mind to just play completionist before seeing an ending and then revisit the game when some DLC comes out. I got so many other games to get to.

I almost commented as @hertzian56 did, it's a little disappointing all the crafting and looting I did after that point was lost. However I am glad to have completed the story a few times, to get that out of the way, so I could move on to the "end game" of actually doing the quests and continuing to level up.hfm likes this.
-
You did crafting and looting during the ending sequence? Well yes you do lose that bc there is no saving during the ending sequence afaik, it's a one off every time then either on to a new game or just go back to where you left off at the elevator and side stuff or just go into another ending sequence right away to get the different ones. That's a catch you got there, I assumed there was no crafting allowed during the ending sequence, never tried it then. Looting I didn't notice anything that was special other than npc specific stuff that I think you do retain, the rest can be had in the pre-ending campaign from what i remember.hfm likes this.

I'm in no hurry to complete the story, I'm actually having a lot of fun grinding out all the NCPD gigs. It's getting a little silly though I can basically just walk in and pop off a bunch of pistol headshots ..hertzian56 likes this.
-
I didn't think it saved anything from that sequence, I know I lost a bunch of levels. I guess I'm just not used to that, I'm used to keeping everything I had at that point. It takes away from the endings to me, knowing that no matter what I do I will lose it all anyways.
-
Borderlands: GOTY on Switch.
-
Yeah when I think about it it doesn't, I'd mention what npc specific item I'm thinking of but don't want to give away too much spoilers. I wasn't able to pickup the optional npc specific item in that ending so no way to confirm it. The other special stuff is just for that specific ending, which imo should be available in the campaign game in some form, but that's another huge gaping hole in the game among many.hfm likes this.

Bringing out the oldies, cool! On the other hand I just found out when I finish the game instead of going out and putting the hoover action on all the side quests that remain I'll be shuttled right back to the point of no return. That's crap. Feces. ****e. What the hell were they thinking?
-
I’m playing Watch Dogs 1 with Natural & Realistic Lighting mod. The story is dark and Aiden Pearce is a badass!! He is Chicago’s Dark Knight.
Basically Watch Dogs franchise was under my radar until I got WD1 and WD2 for free from Epic Games Store. I found out that WD1 got so much hate

Finished Terminator Resistance and I have to say it's pretty good. This game does what the movies never did which is flesh out the story before T1 in a logical way. This could easily be a T0 movie with a bit more fleshing out for cinema purposes. I haven't watched any of the movies since T3/Salvation though.

Breathedge! Had it installed for a while now and randomly decided to fire it up last night after dying in Cyberpunk right at the end of a particularly long fight, lol.
Give it a shot, it does look cartoony but it's funny. I actually get Portal vibes but I just started it.

Finally giving MSFS 2020 a go after owning it for like half a year.
Quick and dirty flight. Climbing to FL360.
Flybywiresim did a good progress on their A320NX. Not exactly FSLabs level, but very close to Aerosoft. Considering it's freeware it an amazing mod.
The sim is okay, but there are these small things which are not there for some mysterious reason i.e. W&B in not available in SI, no option to switch ATC to give pressure information in hPa...Last edited: Jan 9, 2021 -
Started a new game of fallout 4 after maxing out my 2015-started game. My unpopular opinion is that it's better than cyberpunk(like many games are). Peaks my interest much more. And to me not as dark/depressing as cp77, not as good graphics of course but good enough to me.

Outer Worlds; I've just started but so far so good. Feels a lot like Fallout which is not unexpected.
-
I just bought Mankind Divided this during the sale. I liked HR, it was pretty good.
-
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 again. I purchased it a 2nd time, when it released to GoG so I could have it DRM free, but never really started it again. While maybe not an AAA title, it's one of the only open world sniping games I can think of.
-
you should check out sniper elite 4 amazing sniper game

I just can't enjoy 3rd person shooters. I've played a few that I put up with, but basically for a game to make my wanted list it has to be first person. I own several of the just cause games (got for free) but have never played any of them past the first hour.
-
After all this time of having Watch Dogs I decided to try that out.. not bad so far though I'm not far at all.

Outer Worlds is reminding me of F4 Vegas, even does the orbiting camera when you leave the mouse idle for a minute. Has an older school feel; you have to stop and ask questions, look around, etc. Quite a bit of humor of the type Obsidian has done before so you're all familiar with it. Feels slow after 2077 but I'm enjoying it. The garish colors are over the top but not complaining in that regards; it's a change of pace.

I really liked it, but I have to admit when I finally finished it I was ready for it to be over.

Crysis remastered 2.0 patched game
Man they really did bump the game beyond everything except for ghost recon breakpoint. lighting is better but textures are equal still 4k...holy smokes does it look nice now like im playing a movies cgi from 2010. -
I'm loving fallout 4 replay, for some reason the settlement management is fascinating to me really draws me in, then the overwhelming amount of missions and just variety is awesome. Vanilla but some simple drag-drop mods. ACod finishing up the legacy of the blade episodes. I don't think I can make it through the grinding of the Fate of Atlantis to get to the second part probably yt that one.

Yeah, this game is really good! I love the story, setting, gameplay and the soundtracks! HR deserves a remastered treatment.
I took me some time to figure out the hacking mechanic. At first, I found the hacking was quite frustrating but now it is really fun!
Currently, I’m at Chapter 11 and I just realized that I missed the chance to buy and get a suppressor for my 10mm pistol

Horizon Zero Dawn. I know it's not new (to PC it's kinda is) All I can say is wow! I've put in over 12 hrs in the last 24, that's not like me at all.

Yeah it's amazing with those mechs, very little outside the main story and dlc though and not much replay-ability. I think there will be a sequel coming up next year or so.

For some reason I never ended up liking Aloy. Don't know why and I can't explain it, but I feel that if there was the option to play as Rost, I would've enjoyed the game much more. I don't have anything against playing as female characters, I just instantly liked Rost and when... the story began, the initial disappointment with the dev's decision imprinted on me.hertzian56 likes this.

I actually do prefer to play as a male, and in 1st person whenever possible. Horizon doesn't do either but I have managed to look past that.
It's pretty cool how we all like different things in games which is why we have so many to choose from. I've seen so many videos comparing Horizon Zero Dawn to Monster Hunter World which initially scared me off. I own MHW and I hated it. Steam shows a total of 11 hrs played and I never could get into it. It was too hard for me, and too little reward for playing for an hour and nothing to show for it.
In Horizon's I like that there are so many things to do outside the main story from side quests, to leveling up and picking the next skills, to gathering, to crafting, exploring and finding tons of collectibles, the challenge missions that you can do over and try to get better medals, and taming mounts in any game is awesome. The world feels so alive and absolutely huge! I remember when I first started the beginning area seemed kinda small for an entire game, I was thinking I hope there is a little more than jus this. Once I realized it was maybe 1/10th of the world I was in awe. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
A bit of 2021 simul... I mean The Division 2.
-
I didn't like her much either, way too "cute" and teenage tomboy gangly. The whole thing puts a bizarre disneyness to it. I usually prefer female characters if I have the choice, because if I'm going to look at the back of the game automaton I prefer it to be female lol
Yeah I'm not into the grinding stuff like that and that can expand the game a lot but the story takes you all over the map anyways I only did the tallnecks and some random exploration to see the whole map. Graphics are amazing of course. -
I've actually been playing as female chars more often lately.. Rage 2, CP2077 (I will probably do playthrough 2 later this year as male tho), current skyrim EE playthrough.. some others probably. When I get around to AC: Valhalla (I have a long way to go I'm only up to Unity in the series and working on that now.. got burned out on them and stopped for some years.. enjoying Unity right now..) and still have both of the recent TR games as well as Horizon:Zero Dawn to get to.Last edited: Jan 19, 2021

I finally got Cold War + WARZONE working. been enjoying that with friends across platforms.

fallen order suprisingly great

Kind of off topic but the funny thing I realized playing ACOD lately is that you can climb bare faced walls/cliffs BUT you CAN'T climb trees! videogame logic LOL I did make it through the grinding in the first Atlantis world but man the episode 2 world hades is ugly to look at!
