The DLC I have played completely does change the game slightly... but only adds options. (example: the first DLC adds options for robotic companions and mods you can add to them)
The DLC I have not gotten to yet adds a whole new area and a smaller one allows new options for settlement building.

giving mirror's edge catalyst a try and i had to update my drivers cos it was blocking me
-
Thanks for that - I'm downloading it down now as I've really enjoyed the game so far and adding even more content makes it even better!
-
Yes I do need a Uplay account.. The main thing that killed the game is that it got repetitive and lot's of irritating bugs on PC which took ages to get patched.. That's what killed it..
-
It's true. My friend and I consistently hit those error codes. It's ruined some of our nights off we had set aside for gaming. The amount of people this has affected is criminal.
I really like the game, but what good is that if I can't play it when I want to. Uplay are absolute scum. Time and time again. -
Metro 2033 Redux. Never got that far with the original, but plan on cruising through this one. So far pretty good. Pretty creepy.
-
Done both Metros... Really creepy but managed to finish them somehow...
-
How well does Redux perform compared to the original? Metro 2033 was horribly optimized from what I remember.

still playing overwatch and waiting for the lawbreakers alpha.

Why oh why did I wait this long to play it? Loving it (only 8 hours in at the moment) -
Definitely looks better and plays well so far. Probably about half way through the game and no issues yet. 3440x1440 max settings using my desktop with 980 Ti and it runs 60-80FPS.TBoneSan likes this.

Awesome, I might pick it up on GoG then.

Original Metro 2033 was horribly optimized. Metro Last Light ran better way than 2033 for me, could crank it up on medium, thereas original barely ran on low.
Good thing Metro 2033 Redux corrected issues.
On topic: yup, still TW3 B&W. This game went all SPOILER Frozen SPOILER all of the sudden.hmscott likes this. -
Did I also mention I won those 2 games in one of your draws? Would have never played them otherwise... I enjoyed them quite a bit although it was really creepy!

I'm finally into blood and wine expansion as well. I'm not very far yet but it's so good.

Picked up Dragon Age Inquisition again after almost a year break, good stuff! Still early in the game.

Playing The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
First, it looks bloody good - I think CDPR needs to use UE4 for their next game and if possible, remaster all their games in UE4. It looks better than TW3 (especially dem trees and grass), but runs at a smooth 55 FPS.
Next, the music - oh, heavens, the music is so epic. Really sets the tone for the game - bleak and dark.
This game needs to be played at night, with headphones, and with a huge monitor. My tiny screen doesn't do the game justice.
For a so-called indie game, this is beautiful.

I got sidetracked from Doom and Mirror's Edge Catalyst to play The Talos Principle. I hope to have that finished by early next week, but getting all the stars and gray sigils to unlock the last ending is proving rather vexing. I'm most likely going to use a walkthrough to finish it so I can get back to the two aforementioned games.

Wanted to love The Vanishing of Ethan Carter but I didn't. Will attempt to get into it again at some point.
The Talos Principle is really cool, did an OS reinstall a couple months ago and have not installed it again yet.
Currently went back to Starcraft 2. I needed a good ol fashioned RTS fix. Would give a limb for a new, true to it's roots and controls, Command and Conquer. Also started Call of Duty BO3 and need to reinstall Alien Isolation. Just can't pull myself away from Starcraft at the moment. -

Thought about grabbing Vanishing Of Ethan Carter, as well as rebuying some other games on GoG, but decided against it.
Think I'm just gonna buy White March expansion for PoE from Steam (sale should start next week), and opt for DoS2 and PoE2 on GoG... -
Whew, just finished Metro 2033 Redux. Word of advice, later in the game, conserve your ammo as best as you can. I almost couldn't finish the game because I was out of ammo.

It had pretty good graphics and is definitely up there. The 'best' is a pretty bold opinion though.

Apart from Doom and finishing TW3 B&W, been attempting to play Divinity Original Sin. For like 5th time now...
Probably gonna bail on it, again... Seriously, I mean, I can't understand where do you suppose to go. Everywhere I go outside the city enemies are like level 7 or 10, and I'm only level 3... -
There's some nasty battles in D:OS. It's definitely not an easy game. I recall doing many of them multiple times before achieving success. I didn't finish it either, it's on my short list.
I just finished B&W last night, the main story anyway, including the little stuff afterward. Now all I have left is a some contracts in Toussaint and a veritable junk load of question marks in multiple provinces. I'll do those, but I really don't think I have the stamina to NG+ it or start dipping into Gwent which I largely ignored. I'm going to put it away after cleaning up the discovery and contracts and maybe NG+ it in a year or two.

After I made my post yesterday, I've managed to achieve some success in combat. Managed to find an area outside the city, which had relatively low level. Once you get a hang of it, it's pretty nice, especially various element combos (like water + electricity). The important thing is not to rush. I have one fighter, two archers, and a mage, so I just let them come to me. And while they do so I just bombard them with special arrows and grenades, until they're close and I knock them down with my fighter.
Ditto. Finished complete TW3+addons, except for two quests (Collect Whem All and B&W Gwent Tournament). Everything else, side quests, contracts, POIs, etc. are completed, and now, after like 400 hours of gametime not sure when I will pick it up for NG+. Probably after I pick up a new GPU (want to experience this game on max 1t 60FPS).
On the other hand, not sure how I will fill the void. Skyrim and DAI look so dull after TW3. Might as well replay TW2 or finish DAO.
At least it's a good thing I've got a couple of other games (PoE and DOS) lined up for this summer. -
been playing some world of warships, actually im having a blast with the game, some call me wave-rider,
and i always end up back playing PoE when ever a new league is released.

To Be or Not To Be: That is the Adventure
It's a choose your path style adventure game/book based on (claims to be ripped off by) William Shakespeare's play "Hamlet". Play as Hamlet, Ophelia or Hamlet Sr. Yes, even as Hamlet Sr.'s ghost. The game/book has on the order of a hundred different endings so plenty to keep oneself occupied for a while. Definitely worth the... $3.59 I paid on Steam (it's on sale). -
Has anyone gotten his fingers on Stellaris yet? If yes, what's your impression so far? Is it worth taking a look on it?

Finished Witcher 3 B&W couple of weeks back. And yes Alchemy builds are still OP, and my gear wasn't even to alchemy build (critical hit build).
Now looking to pick another series and all this talk of Metro series has got me exited. -
I just finished B&W as well. All that's left was a junkload of question marks in Skellege, I had all quests finished aside from Gwent stuff. Decided to just uninstall I was about fatigued of it.
Decided to reinstall Deus Ex:HR since I never finished that. Trying to save a Doom binge for later this year.

Pansy! Scared of little demons, are you?
Maybe once they add submarines
It does?!? Hmmm, maybe I should replay it...
And that's how they get you.
You don't know what you are, but hey, it's only a buck. But then, after some time, you wonder how the hell did you spend fifty bucks. And worse of all, why there's nothing worth of playing in the pile of games you bought?Last edited: Jun 28, 2016 -

on topic, occasionally play The Witcher 3, trying to get all Blood and Wine endings and 'em Skellige cards. Sadly, mod messed up my Gwent so won't see the OP-ness of Skellige deck.
mostly grinding Granblue Fantasy. O, the temptation of collectible *insert object here* game. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
I don't understand what's the matter with all that level/exp/etc. ****.
Sounds like just a gimmick to sell more crap...
Unfortunately GoG also went full retard this summer sale...
As for Skellige deck... Well, honestly don't know what's so OP about them. Every the time I tried Gwent tournament quest in B&W I've got beaten. Northern Kingdoms is still the best faction in my opinion. Or maybe I can't play other decks. -

you get a new showcase to make your profile page look nicer every 10 level

I haven't seen a complete Skellige deck yet but I heard a CDPR dev said it was OP. Maybe the fact that they've mushroom stronger than witcher potions
-
Nah. I'm not usually one for impulse buys. The Breath/Cthulhu bundle is my only impulse buy in at least three summers' worth of summer sales. Most of the other games are from my wishlist, purchased usually at 50% off or better.
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Ah yes, another useless feature
.
Obviously IMO.
In game it's pretty much the same as Monster deck. Individual cards don't do much damage, but a lot of them have that bonus which brings similar cards from deck and play them. Sucks that Skellige deck has only one spy. I'm kinda used to having 4 or so spy cards in my deck...
What game are you playing now?
