two other good games are sim copter and Caesar ^^

@kara Yea I added the xml file...it is just that the game is single threaded liek total war....murders performance because it only allows access to 1 core.

SimCopter was a great concept that needed to be fleshed out more.

To add my two cents I would like to see Commandos: Beyond the call of duty and Behind the Enemy Lines remade but not butchered with 3D models.

@rudlin...for whatever reason you made this pop into my mind....I would like to have nearly every single game remade with co-op....sigh so few games have co-op. Though i would have to say developers are starting to listen...or just changing and adding a lot more co-op to there games. Or at least that is what it seems to me.

Toy soldier was the one that popped into my mind....that game seems like it would be awesome as so-op or multiplier. Granted I am going off of videos and screen shots.

Axis and Allies circa 2000's for the PC, I was absolutely addicted to that game a couple years ago, I LOVE it, it was an amazing RTS

i remember some fun flight games for the PC in the 90s...not a clue what they are called now. One was WWII and the other was modern day...like F-16 or something

I'd love to see the Jane's name picked up by a reputable company these days. Jane's WWII Fighters, F-15, Longbow, USAF, USNF, IAF, were all awesome sims/games. They did a great job of mixing fun with simulation, and surprisingly it was EA that carried the title back then. Need someone with deep pockets and passion for air combat to bring those back.

    Falcon was fun (Amiga)

I'd really love the old Cinemaware WWI flight game called Wings to be remade. The story in that game and the presentation was nice. Of course it could just be rose tinted glasses I'm looking back at it with. I remember having so much fun with that game.

The WWII game you might be thinking of is Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe.

the first one with spiderman and skate park heaven? with the park that had the in door area with this long open drop and you could do through this over hang? Than yes 100% agree! My brother was awesome with spiderman. We played skate park heaven and we put on perfect balance and i beat him by millions of points. Reason why? I found this little spot where you would grind back and forth forever! lol so i racked up 500,000 points and jumped 10-20 times lol and than my brother smacked my control and my guy failed to land succesfully :/ so much for multi-million point win :/

Ill love to see a remake of an old school arcade beat em up called Vandetta. There are no modern day beat em ups, the genre is well and truly dead, yet has never successfully been reinvented for us fans.
Anyway, I'd like to see that!

I think he means games like Streets of Rage or Final Fight or even the old Ninja Turtles games - running around beating up groups of enemies in order to progress through a level, typically to a boss fight.

Based on all this, I'm sure a company could make a mint off rebuilding older games and just bringing the graphics up to date with a few improvements if the original publishers/devs would release their source code.

That mentality is what makes it hard to market beat-em-ups: they're pretty much all repetitive and bland or vibrant often comes down to taste.

aoe3 is just so lack lusting when compared to the previous ones, the graphics are better I like gunpowder warfare... but it ticked me in the wrong way when comparing to the previous ones, and I do like aoe3, I would like that they remade the aoe1, or just go ahead and remake rise of nations, expand the armies units and the cities

the musket warfare didnt feel right for me, there was something really amiss, and the naval battles were one of its highest points, but that wasnt a good point at all. When I got it (I didnt had a good enough pc to run it), some months later I was playing empire total war, there was a very large difference in how things handled there

As for a game I would like to see remade, I'd LOVE versions of Thief: The Dark Project and Thief 2: The Metal Age to come out. The old games were brilliant and I loved them but I can no longer play them as apparently I must own a single core processor to do so >_>.

I have them on steam as well. They crash on dual cores and above. There ARE some hotfixes that may or may not work (the patch ones don't for me) and there are some windows tweaks that limit the game to a single core, but from previous experience these break the FMVs so you don't get the story and go from mission end screen to buy new equipment screen. It's sad. I want a good set with widescreen resolutions and HD textures but the same kind of difficult, stealth-heavy game that rewards you for being careful with how you use your limited gear and where you kill people and hide their bodies (or to not kill them at all, and knock em out so there isn't any bloodstains for other guards to find even with a moved body)
