Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
LOLed
Yeah they looked the same to me, and Im not going to buy for the asked price, its way too much, if it was 10 reais I would, not 35 in any day.
but yes AOE2 usually crashes and/or have some artifacts, at least rise of nations plays really well. I really would like for them to redo AOE1 -
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
i honestly didn't like one or rise of nations personally but to each their own. I dont remember AOE2 crashing but i could be wrong. EE definitely did and RCT3 -
GTA san andreas, it was the best game ever at the time but now it's outdated. I hope gta V is a new san andreas in some way.

dude GTA SA was so out dated in graohic whens it came out

I'd like every single Unreal 3 Engine game to be remade with either CryEngine 3 or Frostbite 2. I'd like all Gamebryo game remade with CryEngine 3 or Frostbite 2.
-
I'd like to see a modern interpretation of Zork. Something that made you think and created the same type of imagery. Maybe a little like Myst?
-
AoE and AoK was the best strategy games of my youth (I still remember the second mission in AoE when I first produced my bowman how happy I got
).. AoE3 is still good, I really like it and it is installed on my pc usually (it has better graphics than SC2 seriously). But for some reason the gun warfare is much simpler than what we had in AoK. The rock paper scissors gameplay was a bit more focused on AoK. Damn that Ensemble quit business (even though they created these beautiful classics, a result of piracy).. I don't think anyone would dare get close to AoE4 because the bar was set so high by Ensemble

Age of Empires II HD.
edit: oops, I just noticed someone else recommended it. -
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
like i said i see no difference in the game from screen shots....what is so HD about it? they allowed high res screens? big whoop
-
For one, the original game doesn't work on modern hardware/OS. It was limited to 4:3 screen ratio and 1024x768 max I think, so haveing 16:9/16:10 support and other ratios is a bonus. Plus they improved graphics quite a bit, despite what you're seeing. AoE II is one of the best strategy games of all time.
-
I think it is the best

I'd like to see Bandai-Namco go back to Ace Combat canon instead of trying to push this Assault Horizon garbage... So I'm waiting for Ace Combat 7.
As for an actual remake: I'd love to see Ace combat 04, 5, and Zero be remade for the Xbox 360 with updated graphics for sure as well as controls similar to Ace Combat 6 (since they work very well). Possibly more missions, bonus content, all that jazz. I'd gladly pay $60 for something like that, even though I already own the PS2 versions of those games. -
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
what updated graphics? can you elaborate on that because i am not buying it. it actually looks like they did less than the balder gates BS -
HL2 - i think there is nothing more to say ....
-
It's enough that they made it work and at variable resolutions imho, graphical update is a bonus. /shrug/ Don't buy it if you don't want it. Kids these days, I tell ya.
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
I'm actually replaying it again (for like 12th time). Don't see what's wrong with it. Unless you want better graphics, in that case you could try Fake Factory mod. Make sure to leave it on vanilla settings. -
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
Just download hl2 cinematics someone remastered it and it looks amazing -
Nice thing is even with the mod, it still plays great on older hardware. I may have to give it a go again too.
-
Gabe confirmed HL3 bro, just sit tight (2014/2015 game probably)
-
I agree with HopelesslyFaithful; the AOE2 HD graphical updates I've seen don't impress me. There's a few differences, like on farms, but by and large it seems like an any-resolution update. Which is nice, but not $20 nice. Maybe $10 nice. Although it probably will also fix the issues on recent nVIDIA drivers, which is nice, too. So I might be more inclined to get it if I hadn't went ATI when I built my desktop. Great game... just skeptical of the value if you already have the CD version.
I'd like to see a Railroad Tycoon remake, along the lines of II or III. Preferably similar to II in appearance and style, but perhaps with III's economic changes, and with improved modding support (ability to add custom engines, cars, factories, etc.). IMO both RT3 and Sid Meier's Railroads have considerably worse graphics than RT2 - they might look okay zoomed in, but RT2 looks better zoomed out, and who plays Railroad Tycoon zoomed all the way in? Sid Meier's is also so claustrophobic without being able to zoom out very much. RT2's more historical-setting style also seems much more apt than Sid Meier's cartoony Civ4 style. -
On the subject of Tycoons, it would be nice to see an updated version of RollerCoaster Tycoon.

HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
been saying that forever!!! I would love to see a high budget one with like a 50 or 100mil budget and support 4k screen....mmmmmm epicness -
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
who ever started the thing with RT2/3 and how zoomed out looks like crap i know what you mean but in a different game. I thought RT3 looked way better even zoomed out but that could be because i have a 1920x1200 screen but i get it. In Kings Crusade and the one before it the game makes Total War look like crap when you zoom in but when zoomed out it looks terrible. The game tried to pack way tooo much stuff with a mere 1920x1200 screeb. Though i feel the same about 90% of RTS and with total war. I feel those games would look 5 times better on a 2560x1600 with that extra res and 20 times better with a 4k+ screen. The day i can afford a duel or quad graphics desktop and a 4k screen i will probably not come out of my office for a week as i oogle Kinds crusade, Company of Heroes, Total War, king arthur, and any other type of game like that!!!!!!
First person shoots are not dieing to have 4k screens like RTS are. Though the one exception i can think of is PS2....that game looks like crap on my 1920x1200 screen and i think that is because of a lack of pixels. when you look at buildings with a million lights on it they show up at a distance like a shimmering light show! They need to learn how to scale the detail so my screen doesn't look like the pixels/image is walking. I also think it has to do with pixel density. I notice this far more on my u2412m than on my R4 screen. You would think the u2412m would look better but in games that try to shove too much detail with a limited amount of pixels it shows badly. Another example was a game i installed that showed a hero on the right with his armor. His armor looked amazing expect when he moved his armor looked like the pixels were flickering because it was trying to show too much detail with too few pixeels. The detail looked terrible because they were shifting back and forth like crazy.
Does anyone know what i am talking about? -
I'd like to see a remake (or at least, playable version) of Twilight 2000. I remember making unique soldiers using that great character creation system. A pity that you couldn't use half of the abilities they had...

generals!!!!!!!
-
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
fair enough HT but still i think it is a crock to call it HD....i would have hopped they added new textures or something to make ti a little better
-
HD means resolution not quality. I can get Adventure Time TV show in HD or SD, but it doesn't add more graphics... just more... /say in whisper voice/ ... DEFINITION.
More pixels = higher fidelity -
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
When someone says HD i assume quality goes with it. -
SC4 Modernized:
1. Multicore support, preferably GPU-computing support as well. Currently SC4 only supports one core, which is an issue when Network Addon Mod is installed, as it makes the traffic simulator more realistic at the cost of more CPU computing power. A multi-million resident city with at least a million commuters traveling in/out of the city can really take a strain on even an i5 3750k OC'ed to 5 GHz.
2. Support for modern graphics. SC4 currently doesn't even support Anti-Aliasing, and it has a "Software Rendering" mode option.
3. A fix for the "Eternal Commuter Bug". The traffic simulator can only see jobs in a neighboring city, but not the traffic layout. Thus, if four cities are connected together in a tight network ring (connecting all of their bordering corners), AND the route to the jobs are longer than the route to the next city, the commuters will constantly be shifted to the other city.
The end result is that you have endless congestion, far more commuters than residents in the region, and a screwed up RCI demand system.
Why do I want it? Because it's better than SC2013 that's just a pile of fail, or a few gems covered in fail. Always online, broken traffic simulator that's eerily similar to SC4's vanilla traffic simulator, lack of modding support (and EA threaten to ban anyone who installed the always-offline mod) etc, etc etc. -
You know, for some reason I can't make SC4 run on my desktop (Pentium G630, GTX 560SE)...
-
Does it give any error messages? SC4 is very fickle with GPUs, so make sure to set everything to "application settings" or disable them in Nividia's graphic driver. If all else fails, then you may have to use software rendering mode.
-
Haven't played it an awhile and I'm away from my desktop, so I'll have to report back later.
-
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
preaching to the choir! Also multiplier/co-op would be awesome ^^
If they ever remade RCT3 i would love co-op. my wife and i were making "Epic Land" but save files crashed....game shuts down when trying to load it :/ -
Any game that uses PhysX or any game that uses any code to check that you have Nvidia card, to something that doesn't suck.
-
failwheeldrive Notebook Deity
What game with physx sucks? The ones I've played ran fine on AMD cards and certainly didn't suck. -
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
mafia 2 looks way better with nvidia card...it is so dumb that there is not a universal code for physic stuff that both companies share and use....ruins it for the consumer! -
failwheeldrive Notebook Deity
Ah, haven't played that one with either brand. The same thing goes for certain AMD tech though. I know it's not proprietary like Physx, but it still runs like crap on Nvidia cards lol. Case in point: tressfx. Screw directcompute
-
Hm, years ago in Simtropolis City Journals section, one person decided an interesting co-op. He would run the region, but players get the decide what to do with the towns, infrastructure (someone bought up the entire subway system in the downtown region), and etc. Every month there would be a budget update based on the in-game budgets.
However, the co-op died off when the host lost interest in the game. -
I kind of miss space operas like Freelancer.
I'm looking forward to this. The trailer is impressive. Hopes it'll be released one day.
| Roberts Space Industries -
SSX3 was on of the best games ever for me on the ps2. I'd love to see a remake of that.
-
Any game either developed or published by Bethesda. Remade by a company that isn't incompetant console chumps
-
Star Citizen is a real project that has a 2014 Q3-Q4 release possibility (which started as a Kickstarter). Support it as it is not funded by any publisher, except gamers. So the game is made for us! It is led by Chris Roberts who is pretty much the creator of all good space sims! (including Freelancer)

In addition to this, I'd thought up of a neat control system to tack onto whatever new AC is made. For the games that allow teammate control (5, Zero, 6), you can control your wingmen, giving them orders to defend you, attack a certain target, use / don't use special weapons, etc (it changes from game to game). In 5, this was especially important since you have a full squadron to control (well, the AC universe defines a squadron as 4 planes, but I realize this isn't the case in meatspace).
What I'd like to see is that you'd be allowed to control your wingmen individually. For Zero and 6, this is redundant since your "squadron" is just your plane and your lone wingman's plane, but in games like 5, it would be pretty awesome to tell one wingman to defend you, the other two to attack a certain target, with one of those allowed to use special weapons, or whatever combination you want. It'd give even greater control to the player, make them feel more in command of their squadron, and would give an additional challenge during missions (I'd imagine there would need to be a "command tree" to manipulate, all while you have to dodge missiles, avoid stuff, attack your own targets, etc). -
There was this game called WORLD WAR III. Me and my bro used to play it all the time. The game had got everything man. Now it's just old I guess.
Anyone here played it? -
commandos behind enemy lines (NOT A FPS weirdo modification of it!)

HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
sounds like too much work to me ^^ i still haven't played a lot of games because i don't want to spend 2 day's just learning it lol. I don't mind spending 2 days to learn an RPG if i am playing with a friends but playing alone...thats just boring to me ^^ I get the fun to it but still. Granted if a game pulls it off where you can play with only spending 2 hours to learn controls and various other features while still offering for people like you the ability to spend 2 day's learning it in and out that is best in my eyes. -
I was thinking along the lines of this (assuming three wingmen):
The first round of the D-Pad will select which wingman you want to command. Then, the D-Pad will be used to issue some command. Afterwards, the software sets it back to "select wingmen" mode, waiting for another order from the player.
What game would you like to see remade and why?
