meh i'll take a stick and a custom keyboard made for the game ^^ i think 20 bucks for a custom keyboard would be perfect for your idea ^^

Well, traditionally Ace Combat is a console game, though Bandai-Namco is dropping the ball on the series faster than Microsoft is dropping the ball on Windows 8. when I think of PC flight sims, I think of... Flight Simulator. Ace Combat is too arcade-y to make it serious enough for a keyboard, imo.

Zelda Ocriana of time! Had most fun with the immense storyline and fun mini games

Hi-Octane!
That was an uber fun game!
1st game ever that I played in 640x480. And those EXPLOSIONS!!!!

Metal Gear Solid for better graphics on PC, everything else about that game is fine.
-
Deus Ex. I would want to obviously bring the graphics and sound up to modern standards, but other stuff too. Make the world more interactive with the objects and people in it, and give the NPC's much better AI!

It's meh. Nowhere near as good as the first one was. -
WarFrame, without PhysX
-

why? how does that ruin it? Is that because you don't have nvidia? -
failwheeldrive Notebook Deity
Yup. Physx ruins games for AMD owners... it's too much trouble to turn it off in the graphics options

i just tried the game and not impressed and found it kinda dull but than again the game doesn't really fit the type of games i like so to each their own -
Shadow of the Colossus! Its finally playable on pcsx2 but I would love to see this title burst on PC.

Shenmue 1 and 2, I miss my Dreamcast

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. 1:1 gameplay port with smoother menu/loading times/etc. Tony Hawk HD (even with that revert pack) does not count. The skating is badly off.

well i just tried to play X-wing alliance with the XWAUCP and it didn't work. I spend about 6 hours getting everything researched and how to install on a 64 bit computer and all that jazz and i got it to install but after everything the game "worked" but graphics were totally buggered up. Flickering and color issues. The XWAUCP was supposed to have an AMD graphics card fix but no cigar :/ I really just need to install a 32 bit XP and same myself the hassle with these old games :/ stupid 16 bit installs and all the other old crap that isn't support anymore

Not remakes but sequels:
-Freelancer 2
-Command and Conquer Renegade 2
-Galactic Civilizations 3
-Arma 5
- BF5 (If one building is destructible then all nearby buildings should be destructible too, else the immersion is gone and it's just another arcade COD wannabe) -
Scarface: The world is yours. Such an awesome classic!

lol renegade....when i finally bought first decade it was long dead but i played for a couple hours a lone seeing what it was like. I really don't know if it was good or not. too hard to tell by playing alone. -
Quake 1
Without a doubt the best FPS shooter to date.. The level of control and precision was amazing.. -

meh...i never liked super fast pack shotters like tribes quake and unreal -
Still waiting for Ace Combat 7...
I see that they're making Ace Combat Infinity now, and so far it looks like a total crap-shoot. From the teasers, it looks like they're trying to merge the classic Strangereal storyline/world with the real Earth storyline/world (as in Assault Horizons, aka "flying Call of Duty"), it'll probably a PSN free-to-play game, and I highly doubt the storyline will be any good (or if there will be a storyline at all... maybe it'll be multiplayer-only
).
At least they got rid of that garbage Dogfight Mode (aka, auto-aim on steroids). Though a good game requires a good story, otherwise it's garbage. -
Syndicate would be a good game to remake. I'd like to see a bit more tactics introduced to the gameplay.
-
Dying for modern-day remakes of the classic genre-defining FPSes like Doom, Quake, and Unreal. A true Halo on the PC wouldn't be too bad either, but it's never gonna happen. Oh well, I can dream, right? Those were the games I cut my teeth on back in the day. The Battlefield and Call of Duty of today are mere child's play compared to those games.
Tribes: Ascend was a great game. Very unique and refreshing gameplay while staying faithful to the series. Plus, it was an example of free-to-play done right. Sadly, it's mostly dead now because of a lack of developer support. And I get the feeling that the skill ceiling is too high to attract newcomers to the series. -

i wnat to buy COD 1 but i refuse to pay 10-20 bucks for a game that old -_- Oh if i still have my ISOs :/ -
Well, think of it this way: if you buy MW1 or BO1, you basically have MW3/BO2/Ghosts/future releases, all for only $10-$20
-
Very nice ideas coming up in this thread.
My vote goes to Star Wars: The Old Republic. Would like to see it remade into KoTOR 3
.
Mechwarrior franchise remake would be nice too. -
Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
well they redid kotor, and its was great, it was my first and only mmorpg and I liked it very much. I did only play for 3 months, since it was what I payed in subs.
I want to see soon FF8, and I think Im going to receive it
the macross fighter games I really miss them, they were fiddled with control problems but I liked them.
the other would be the X wing VS Tie Fighter -
HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
are you talking about the "new" star wars mmo? That was supposed to be like kotor? I heard it was good but people stopped playing it and it turned ghost town.
I remember horizons and i liked it but leveling was horrid....horrid! Plus no one knew what was going on...no in game info at all so we all were totally lost, which hurt it bad. I wouldn't mind seeing a new version of EVE. That game always looked cool. I just have the time required in those games. I just would never play because i would be level 10 out of 100 after 6 months :/ Thats why i really liked anarchy online or whatever it was called. It had like 200 levels and you could get to level 60 in no time and get to level 120 real fast with you had the expansion and money wasn't horrible hard to get and high level players were always willing to throw some good stuff at you to get you up to a high level since a million to them was like 5 mins of farming lol. It really did a great job of keeping you engaged and feeling like you were really getting somewhere :/
huh? are you just saying they are rehashes with better graphics? I personally thought COD was much better than COD 2....thats all i have played but i loved united offense mmmmmm. I wonder if their cheapness will ever release a pack. I will say i played BF3 and i really didn't like it. I find COD games to have much better flow and mechanics. Same with medal of honor games...just don't like how they play. I always though COD was much smoother. I really did love joint operations though. I played the demo a ton!!! I wish i would have just bought the damn game when i was a kid so i could have played it. It was smooth and HUGE!!! when you throw 150 people in a sever it is epic. BF was originally going to get 128 players but they changed it and it sucked....i as so looking for it. But yea COD and joint operations were 2 of the best shoots. I doubt anyone is in a server anymore and if there are it is probably cheater filled....another reason i dont touch FPS online :/ -
Clive Barker's Undying, ah it would be owesome to see remake.
EA, come on now and do this for me...
-
A real Syndicate/Syndicate Wars remake would be just what the doctor ordered

the server I was was actually good in terms of pop, sometimes it was crowded specially weekends. the asian servers were pretty much combined together and that was the problem. They did shutdown and consolidate some servers, and I dont think it was a commercial success as people hoped it would be, but nonetheless it was a good game
mechanically it was good, story wise it was great and I hated the pvp its way more annoying than diablo pvp -

i just heard froma bunch of people it was one of the best mmos in a long time and people were surprised it didn't take off more. PS2 was a disaster and garbage in my eyes...i was really looking forward to it but meh. I honestly can't think of any mmos i really want to play. I love super hero type mmos in theory like COH or DC online. I never played COH but DC was boring as can be and so vanilla. I am EASILY amused and i love super heroes but even that couldn't make me like DC online. It was also confusing. I hate MMOs that force you to follow quests but at the same time don't break it down barney style...i play mmos to not have to think. Like in where do i need to go? Who do i need to find? That is just a waste of time to me.
Though one my my new games i actually liked was war of roses. It reminded me a little but of mount and blade and was pretty good. I do long for a good game like that. If you blend mount and blade with war of roses in mechanics it would be awesome. They both have some weird quarks in them.
I am really wishing there was a remake of a jedi game and star wars flight game....those are amazing and really longing for a new one. Jedi academy and x-wing alliance were the last ones :/
Also as i said before i really would love to see some mmos pick up on the anarchy online leveling. It really made you feel like you were making progress. I heard WOW is like a million times faster now too. I also would like more indepth game play. I know WOW was one of the first MMOs i think to really brnach out of point and click combat. How fun would it be to have an MMO that was like moutn and blade/war of roses? I think that would be pretty cool. Through some magic into it too
-
Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
well they are going to make total war arena, and Im betting its going to be a mix of TW and mount and blade on a mmo scenario
Im sure I, probably, wont buy it
ahh btw I only got into the old republic late, because of EA good thinking, they took over a year to sell the game for other parts of the world, so I bought the expansion and payed a basic sub -
Remake Euchre, except throw 8's in the deck. Revolutionary I tell you, revolutionary!

Medal of Honor Allied Assault. Still my favorite FPS shooter of all time. No other shooter has as many online memories playing with my friends and brother online. I still remember our old Compaq with a TNT2 16mb AGP, and when I switched to a GeForce3 Ti200 128mb and added another 128mb DDR stick for a total of 256mb and the game screamed! Also my favorite video game soundtrack. I still listen to the main theme once in awhile. So inspirational and beautiful.

Yep MoH:AA and CoD 1 (and United Offensive) & 2 are still some of my favorite WWII FPSes ever. But I don't really want them to remake these because I think we should keep moving forward in terms of setting. WWII and now modern warfare and war on terrorism and ultranationalists (blatant CoD reference) settings have more than outstayed their welcome. I would love to see some new FPSes set in the future or Vietnam or WWI or American Revolution or American Civil War or foreign conflicts or...you get my point.
Also there are so many great LucasArts games that need to come back. Star Wars games like the X-Wing series and Jedi Knight series (<3 Kyle Katarn no homo) and KotOR (SWTOR isn't even in the same ballpark). Adventure games like the Monkey Island series and Grim Fandango. Even the Indiana Jones games weren't half-bad. I know Battlefront is coming but I'm not convinced yet since it's EA. -
I would have to agree! I can remember when it first came out and I purchased my copy. I was like WOW I had never played anything like it. Ah, the memories it brings back to me.....

I would kill for a new Diablo 2 expansion.

I remember hearing that flight in Galaxy was really good. I finally bought the game and was going to make an account and just buy some gold to get the ships i wanted and than a few days before i went to make an account they annouced they were shutting ti down :/ So i never got a chance to test out flight in the game :'( I was going to be the red baron of the game and troll the skies for prey with my millennium falcon :'(
my nostalgia is with CS betas 5.2-6.1 or whatever. Playing on a voodoo fx card and all that
Those were the days of the most memories of my my brother and i playing together. Though COD was a lot of fun at an internet cafe in high school. We had so many tournaments. Now i just suck as games....it is terrible.
I also loved firearms as a big but they really botched it in the later editions. My favorite times in firearms was when they had 10 rounds for the grenade luncher and some other neat settings. Now there is only like 2 or 3 rounds :/ I remember kicking some butt with full body armor and grenade luncher or full body armor and a machine gun. I do wish it wasn't so quasi realistic and was just more CS/COD/just realistic. The movement in the game is really weird.
Also i say on steam nova logic has a complete pack for 70 bucks but the games come out to ~4.50 a piece and thats a bit high for me...not a bad deal but not a good deal. I really want joint operations :/ Anyone own that? -
Yeah, I have no idea why X-wing hasn't been remade yet. It would be a for sure winner. They did remake Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2. Basically same game with improved graphics. You can switch back to the old pixelated 8-bit any time mid-game too, lol.

Mechwarrior Online..........because it JUST came out of Open Beta and the morons that did it (Piranah Games Inc) have absolutely NO IDEA what the hell they're doing. The game has so much potential, the Battletech fanbase is HUGE, and these mental midgets are going to end up ruining what may be one of the last chances for a TRUE Battletech simulator to get made.

My college buddies and I played the single map multiplayer demo for hours and hours on end. We had a limit of 4 simultaneous players because the map was on the small side, but it was so much fun. We played it at least as much as the full versions of UT and Quake 3. -

i wish mechmod would have been finished. Not the source one they were working on. They were going mechwarrior style and that is just boring to me. mehcmod alpha for hl was awesome. Fast and fun. Granted it had mechanics issues and balance issues and was poorly planned out but hey it was an alpha they made for fun while waiting for source. I remember playing mechmod anytime someone joined my server. It was a blast! Some jack was able to be the wing zero and have such good accuracy that he never ran out of fuel and was almost unstoppable....i still think he might have used an aim bot because it was BS good. I wasn't half bad. I would kick most guy's butts but man was that game fun! If only it was fully developed!
my bro and i played some hacked co-op mod that only support one level...was soooo coo. It was what made me start to love co-op sooooooo damn much. Never enough co-op man. -
Maybe now that they have shifted to s license model another Dev house will give us a new star wars combat space sim.
What game would you like to see remade and why?
