    Thank you for your response.
you say that the AU screen1920x1080 will work if the cable is right.
How can i find a compatible cable for 4545s ? If i buy the cable for 4730s it might not work?

I suppose the Laptop Screen Connection Type is 40 Pin, Bottom Left
amazon sells screens for this laptop with the above specs but its only 1366x768

I used ebay to buy the 1080 screen I got. I listed what model they sent me in my comments. The ebay user I bought from is cknappssalesinc (Vivo Technology) Ordering the cable was not so easy. I really just went by what was listed in this forum. The cable is not that cheap. You gonna pay at least $45 for it due to all the company's offering it, they are just ordering it from HP. Returning it will suck cause of a restocking fee. (Apparently HP charges them some fee to return it.) It's this part of the game that will make finding the right cable suck. Be prepared to lose some money in the process if say the cables mentioned in this forum do not work.

I'm thinking if you research your laptop and find out what different options were offered you should be able to figure out what parts numbers were used for the upgrades. You know if they offered a version of it with a 1080 screen then you just find out what cable was used for that and get its part number. And start by trying that one out. But who knows.... Yours is still a 4500 series so how different can it be? I think in my search for info on the 4530s I stumbled onto sites for your version.

You look for the part number in the Maintenance and Service Manual. It's a PDF file that you can download from HP, basically same place where you look for the drivers.

Thank you guys for the useful info. I know its a gamble but i ll keep searching.
Maybe i lose some money who knows. I think though that its worth the try.

I ll post again if i find something new.

    ok news
After reading tonymacx86 forums about changing 4540s screen
    http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook/88212-4540s-lcd-screen-1080p-replacement-17.html

i figured that the screen cable used for 4540s is more possible candidate for 4545s.
So i will gamble for screen cable they suggest for 4540s model.

Also i am thinking to buy a 1600x900 screen and not a FHD.
    What do you suggest.

    Laptopscreen.com has 2 models of 1600x900

i emailed them and they wrote me the above models.

the mate 1600x900 screen is ->LP156WD1(TL)(B2)
and the glossy 1600x900 screen is ->LTN156KT02-V01

in the first post you suggest the mate . Is this the best option i have for 1600x900?

    Update FOR HP PROBOOK 4545s

i replaced the screen with one of the suggested 1600x900 and a cheap cable for 4740s from eBay..
    FAILED.

The screen worked but with 2 flashing lines . Although it didn't work perfect the difference in viewing angles was amazing.

I sent it back and the seller informed me that the screen works well.
So maybe it's the video cable.
I tested the new video cable with the original screen and it works good.
With the replacement screen doesn't work correct .

The thing is that i want to replace this awful screen . Any suggestions for 1366x768 screens with descent viewing angles?
What about these from laptop screen.com ? are they any good for this resolution?

Be aware of laptop screen.com and the seller named Scot.

The replacement screen was also defected. 2 dead pixels.

I am really surprised for all the positive votes they got. Really strange.
Maybe people doesn't care about dead pixels.

Profchaos, over the last decade over a million customers have ordered from us, but only a remarkably small number of them received screens that had defects.
Dead-pixels is the most common LCD defect - each 1366 x 768 screen contains 1,049,088 pixels - each consisting of 3 sub pixels - for a total of 3,147,264 chances that one or more of them will be either dead or stuck. Production standards certainly went up - and having dead pixels is no longer considered "normal", and we understand that.

We take customer-centric approach and will exchange any screen not up to the expectations of the customer - we pay for your return shipping - and our exchange turn around is very short.
All our screens are covered by a 3 year manufacturer defect warranty, dead pixels included; at any time during the three years from purchase customers are welcome to request a quick warranty exchange.

Furthermore, most people have jobs, and mentioning any one company's employees by name in a negative setting on a public forum is very unfair to them.

If you have a specific concern with your purchase you would like to talk about, please PM me,

    Regards,
    Ellis

I want to upgrade the display on my HP 4530s but I can no longer find the genuine AUO B156HW01 V.4 panel. There are some AUO B156HW01 V.4 panel that came from Lenovo W510 or W520 parts. Can I buy this panel and a HP cable to upgrade my 4530s to 1920p display? Thanks.

    Really Elis?

    I think its a billion customers ..

I ordered the first screen and i left a message to be tested first for any kind of defection.
The seller agreed and he send me the display.

Guess what it was defected. One bright dot and dead pixels.

I send it back and i asked the second one to be tested again for any defections.Bright dots ,dead pixels - sub pixels and the the goodies your screens have.

Guess again Elis.. 2 dead pixels.

To sum up i ordered 2 displays and they had both different defections.

Paypal is informed with written proof although they can't act.

I Should also inform your local customs about the prices you declare on the box..

So i warn everybody in this forum. Please for your own shake don't buy anything from them.

Very low quality screens and in my case the didn't respect me at all..

    They lied the whole time.

You should probably go with the expensive cable. I had too. The cheap one didn't work for me either. I returned that cheap one too.
