Thanks! I was confused because I saw the 4830 thread and thought I needed to do the same or something similar.

Can anyone tell me how much RAM the HP Envy 15T-1100 can hold? Is it 16GB? It has 4 memory slots, but I'm not sure what the maximum memory for each is. On HP's site, they only talk about other Envy models, not the Envy 15T. A link to the specs of the 15T-1100 would be appreciated. Thanks
-
Up to 32GB I think 8GBx4 , 4GBx4 , 8GBx2 is more expensive
-
Is there any kind of documentation that I could prove to them that it does support up to 16gb?
its a core i7 720qm model..product number NX346AAR if that helps -
they are probably some random peeps reading off catalogs in Indian call centers. I think I have seen someone sig. with 16GB. But nevertheless I'm sure it will work. Otherwise why have 4 DIMMS there. Apart from that, you can return the items if it doesn't work. FYI 32GB needs W7 Ultimate I suppose.
Are you doing number-crunching works ?

great, thanks. I'll try getting it and see if it works, if not then return. But it should work nevertheless.

I seem to be getting a lot of pops on my HP Envy 15 1150nr with the latest IDT driver. Trying the one revision lower driver now.
EDIT: No issues with the lower revision one.
sp55660.exe gives me nasty pops.
sp55251.exe is perfectly fine.
Also for AR8131, there is a newer version of the driver at Atheros & Zidas drivers .
Not sure if it's "approved" or anything to use though but i'm using it. -

Ah Okay. But one thing about the Installer for 6370. It's not the same as 6368. When it installs, it goes through the extracting of the software but it doesn't show the IDT Audio Installation. Weird. It just completes the installation in the background and doesn't prompt you to restart or anything.
-
-
Yeah i know where to look for the actual installation. I'm just wondering why it doesn't prompt you and completes it in the background instead.

- Updated Broadcom 2070 / 20702 Bluetooth driver package to version 6.5.0.3300 (6.5 I1).

- Updated Broadcom Wireless LAN driver to version 5.100.82.112.
- Updated Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller driver to version 3.0.8.0.
The Bluetooth driver package version is 6.5.0.3300; individual component versions inside the package will vary (6.5.X.XXXX).
Also, the Renesas USB 3.0 controller driver should only be installed on 11XX / 12XX notebooks with a Core i7 processor.
EDIT:
- Removed Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller driver version 3.0.8.0.
The Device IDs supported in this package are not compatible with the USB 3.0 host controller present in the ENVY 15. -
Hello, anyone please help..
When trying to install "Intel Chipset Device Software (Ver. 9.3.0.1019)" with "-overall" parameter on my Envy15, I got black screen during the installation process.
I forced power down and restart it into safe mode and try install it again with different version (9.2.3.1022) with "-overall" parameter, it seems completed the installation. But after I restart the PC, my screen went black again after the Windows logo.
Now, im trying to do System Restore in safe mode from Win7, and after 8 hours passed, my screen still showing "Restoring Files". Should I keep waiting?
Any advise would be appreciated.

You do not have to install this Intel Chipset Device Software package if you have already applied a previously released 9.2.X.XXXX or 9.3.X.XXXX package.
As some of you may know, mainstream support for Windows Vista ended on 4/10. As a result, I have decided that all future releases posted will mention support for Windows 7 but not for Vista; I will be phasing out support for Vista as I continue to post updates. Driver releases specific to Windows Vista will continue to remain however, for as long as they are current.
I will start adding Windows 8 support to many of the drivers here, especially as we get closer to the final version. -

- Updated IDT High Definition Audio driver, version 6.10.6392.0 (thanks epguy3).
Hopefully this driver will not cause any issues... -
I'm having problems with the IDT Audio driver as well. I tried using the one posted, but I do not think the driver installs properly because it does not give me a installation successful message and the IDT Audio Control Panel does not open. I remember the same problem happened a few months ago and I had to revert to an older version.
-
Also, do you remove the previous driver first before installing the new version? Or, do you apply the new driver on top of the existing version? -
When I went to install the May 2012 update, I uninstalled the previous version by using windows uninstaller and then restarted and then installed the May 2012 update. Afterwards, I restarted and the sound did not work. There was an x over the sound icon and it said an audio device was not found. I did the same procedure with the April update and the same issue occurred.
The installation for the January 2012 update seems different than the April and May updates. The January update shows the progress and it doesnt disappear after showing the command prompt window like the later two updates.
Thanks for your help
