With the exception of maybe HP Update or HP Total Care Advisor, there are no other official tools that notify you if you are using outdated drivers. I personally do not use one (I'm not sure if I answered your question).
See the first post of this thread - the bottom shows the recent edits that I have made. Official changelogs for the drivers can be found in the CVA and/or HTML notes under the Documentation column corresponding to the version.

sorry: if i remove for example my current driver for touchpad and then install new driver - my settings of touchpad will save? -
In this example, your Synaptics TouchPad driver settings will be set back to the default options once the update is applied. -

- Updated Intel WiFi Link Driver (and software) to version 14.2.0.10.

10/16/2011
- Updated Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth driver package to version 6.5.0.2100.
Please note that the Broadcom Bluetooth version 6.5 packages will, without your permission, install bloatware into the following directory - C:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\EasyBits Games. You can safely remove the EasyBits Games folder and then run a registry scan (using third-party software) to remove any other evidence of EasyBits on your system.
Actual Broadcom Bluetooth driver components will have driver version numbers that will differ from the package version (which is 6.5.0.2100). However, the driver components should have a version number with the format of 6.5.X.XXXX, where X is a number. -

Also, this new Synaptics TouchPad driver package includes both x86 (32-bit) and x64 (64-bit) versions, contrary to what is currently indicated in the documentation. -
Never thought HP was going to release an update to this, but they will!

- Updated IDT High Definition Audio driver to version 6.10.6368.0.
- Updated Broadcom 2070 / 20702 Bluetooth driver package to version 6.5.0.2900.
- Updated Intel WiFi Link driver (and software) to version 14.3.0.6 (thanks Toink).
Please note that the Broadcom Bluetooth driver package version is 6.5.0.2900; individual driver components may have a different version number.
Additionally, there are two versions of the Intel WiFi Link package - one that includes only the driver, and the other which includes both the driver and My WiFi Technology software. Both versions are linked on the first post. -
01/18/2012
- Updated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5430 / 5450 / 5470 / 5650 / 6330 / 6370 graphics driver to version 8.771.1.4000 (AMD) / 8.15.10.2189 (Intel SG) / 7.12.0.7706 (HDMI Audio).
This is a relatively old graphics driver; I would suggest installing the reference driver package on top of this.

- Updated Synaptics TouchPad driver to version 15.3.33.0.
-
01/21/2012
- Updated Realtek PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Family Controller driver to version 7.050 for Windows 7.

Thanks justinkw1 for your work. Two things about the latests video and LAN drivers:
Realtek PCIe: there is a "LAN power saving" option on the bios that completely turn off the LAN adapter if not plugged in. Stock Realtek drivers seems to NOT honor this option (the LAN adapter is always visible on the Device Manager). Anyone can confirm?
ATI/Intel video drivers: using the internal Intel adapter I can see some banding and gamma compression on the desktop. If I switch to the ATI adapter, everything looks fine. Here HP Communities - EliteBook 2540p Colour Banding Problem - Enterprise Business Community the problem is discussed (on an EliteBook) and a drivers problem is suggested. -
I want to download "Intel HD Graphics" driver but links are broken in this topic

For switchable graphics just run the installer after installing HP driver, it'll update ATI driver. -

- Updated the post template.
The first post has a slightly updated look!
02/02/2012
- Updated Intel Chipset Device Software to version 9.3.0.1019.
- Removed Intel HD Graphics driver version 8.15.10.2559 (15.22.52[.64].2559) / 6.14.0.3086 (Audio).
The driver components within the Intel Chipset Device Software will have a version that is less than or equal to 9.3.0.1019; it depends on when the particular driver was last updated by Intel.

02/03/2012
- Updated IDT High Definition Audio driver to version 6.10.6370.0.
- Updated Ralink RT3090 WiFi Adapter driver to version 3.2.5.0.
- Added download links to AMD Catalyst Mobility 12.1 - version 8.930 (AMD) / 7.12.0.7705 (HDMI Audio).
The Ralink driver is not available yet as of this posting. Once HP releases it, I will activate the download link.
The new IDT Audio driver may cause some issues, but I would like your feedback on it. If it does cause issues for you, I suggest going back to version 6.10.6368.0. -
New Intel HD Graphics driver packages are now up.
02/04/2012

Anyone know what driver combination prevents resume from sleep issues?
-
Thought I might throw this out there, just something to look out for I guess. Most of the drivers in this thread apply to my device, HP tm2t-2100CTO, so I frequent this thread for drive updates (some don't apply, but most do).
Anyways, the latest Synaptics driver (15.3.33.0) really does not play well with my device, I'm not sure how it does with the other devices listed, that's why I just wanted to mention this. Installing it gave me scrolling that is pretty slow (not able to change it by settings), and there was a delay before scrolling would initiate. Another thing I noticed is the impact I had to battery. Upon running powercfg -energy (Windows Energy Report), it gave me 4 errors, all pertaining USB unable to suspend. Also, it gave me shutdown/restart problems, sometimes my laptop would freeze, also not sleep. Rolling back to the 15.2.26 driver seems to have fixed my problems.
