    Adds Windows 8 support from what I can tell. On my HP tm2t, I can now scroll the Start Screen using landscape type of swipes not just the verticle swipes for scrolling. Also, scrolling is really smooth. It required some tweaking on my part to get things right though (such as adjusting zoom speed and scroll speed). It doesn't add access to edge swipes like I've read newer synaptic devices do. Also, zoom is still choppy using standard zoom instead of the Windows 8 type of zoom.

    EDIT: It seems it added the right and top edge swipes. I can't seem to get the left and bottom edges to register. This is pretty nifty though. Makes right clicking in open areas easier since you can just top edge swipe the trackpad to bring up context menus in the ModernUI.

    Well, it's not surprising since Windows 8 will be generally available this week. :) I'll try to get these up sometime before October 26, once verified.

    The Intel WiFi Link version 15.5 drivers do not currently support the adapters that are included in these models (which is why they aren't on the first post). Hopefully, Intel will provide support for them in a future release.

    Can someone document the necessary steps that I need to go through to get switchable graphics and the Radeon driver up and running on windows 8? I have tried everything. I have an Envy 14-1110nr and I did a clean install of windows 8. Everything works besides my graphics setup. I am now at the point where I have the Radeon working perfectly (can output to HDMI etc finally) but I do not have switchable graphics. This took forever to get here.

    One more thing, I am running 64 bit.

    A step by step guide of what I need to do would be so helpful.

    ie. 1. Uninstall existing radeon
    2. Uninstall intel graphics
    3. install radeon

    etc

    Hey there. I'm in the same situation. I spent a few days exploring and searching for possible solutions but finally gave up. Spoke with Envy support at HP and was told that our models aren't supported yet for windows 8, or at least the switchable graphics bug hasn't been dealt with for models. On this forum, there are drivers listed but they don't seem to be for windows 8 OS. There are Reference drivers but I couldn't get them to work. That's why I say similar situation because I'm not even sure I'm installing them right. If you get wind of any solution let me know :)

    Thanks for the response.

    I am ok with not getting switchable graphics to work but I am having real trouble with HDMI out. I can't seem to get my HDMI out to work. It seems to think there are two monitors when I have nothing plugged in. I think one is the integrated intel graphics and one is the Radeon graphics but it is hard to tell. All I want to be able to do is output HDMI with audio.

    Any ideas? Should I uninstall the intel graphics?

    Hardware Virtualization doesn't work in Windows 8 on my Envy 14 with Intel Core i5 450. I've tried installing the Intel chipset driver, but it goes very quickly and doesn't appear to actually install anything. I'm running the newest BIOS and Virtualization is switched on - it worked just fine in Windows 7. Is there a solution? I can't have my VMs run this slow..

    Unless I just have bad timing, it seems like all the win7 drivers hosted by hp are no longer available :(
