    Some new updates made to the first post. The newest version of the IDT High Definition Audio driver was removed from the HP FTP presumably due to issues, so the next newest has taken its place.

    The newer driver IDT High Definition Audio Codec driver version 6.10.6269.0 seems not compatible with my laptop DV3-2123tx. When I install it, I can't play the music anymore. Maybe it's not compatible with DV3 series. And when back to the 6.10.6255.0, everything is ok. Anyway, thanks for your updating. I'm a chinese, I found here is a really good place to share.

    yeah even am having problems with my dv3500 with latest IDT driver.
    cant play any music or watch any movies! but skype and them work! strange...
    i have to go back to the 6255 driver i guess...

    Could you share your IDT audio device's hardware ID? That way, I can better verify which of these drivers are compatible.

    You can find this information in the Details tab of the device, within the Device Manager.

    This driver thread is for dv3t and Compaq-equivalent models. This thread is not entirely compatible with the dv3500 but you should be able to use most of the drivers provided here. :)

    well i know that bro, i never had any prob with any other drivers from this thread.
    my HW ID is:HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76B2&SUBSYS_103C1505&REV_1003

    one more thing with the latest driver which didnt work, SRS was missing in the IDT control panel!!!

    My laptop is dv3-2123tx, my problem is the same with pvp26. The latest driver which didnt work, SRS was missing in the IDT control panel.
    I can't find the SRS control panel either.

    Thanks for your hardware IDs! Looking at the driver INF though, and it looks like this driver should be compatible with your notebooks :confused:

    The REV section of the string should not matter.

    See if you guys can try installing this INF through the Device Manager - Update Driver wizard. If that doesn't work, you can always go back to version 6255 (that's why I added the Previous Releases :)).

    I would appreciate it if others add their experiences with this driver too. :D

    By the way, I've found the newer version of Intel Chipset Device Software had been released. The ver is 9.1.1.1027. Update on 2010-3-4.

    Here are some new updates to the first post. Make sure you uninstall all previous versions of the ATI or NVIDIA graphics driver prior to installing the new version.

    Also note that the new NVIDIA graphics driver is from Microsoft Update; read the Important Information section for more details on installation.

    Finally, a new IDT High Definition Audio driver is available that must be installed through the Update Driver wizard within Device Manager. Hopefully these drivers will solve any incompatibility issues if you had encountered them.

    no one can find intel chipset 1027 at intel.com. It's either a bogus package that has gained immorality on the 'net or it's a customer-specific fix pack that someone leaked.

    either way, it's probably not official and 'unwise' to further distribute.

    latest IDT from MS is not working on DV3500
    unsigned error is coming and driver doesnt load.
    even the update is prompted via Windows Update and doesnt install properly... hmm some problem with these too i guess..

    I will not be posting driver packages from unofficial sources (like from the link above). I also will not be posting drivers that are not WHQL certified.

    There seems to be problems with the installation of these new IDT audio device drivers (I tried to personally get it to work, but with no success). As a result, I had taken them off of the first post.

    Looking at the INF, the 197.45 drivers do support the GeForce G 105M -- did you follow my additional instructions? Make sure you delete the nv_disp.inf file prior to running setup.exe.

    One user so far -- I am also looking into supporting the next generation of notebooks so if there's not enough support for the dm3t, I'll have to put this on the back-burner. :)

    ill keep em separate if the drivers for the new notebooks cannot be used on current dv3/cq-35 notebooks...

    just my 2 cents... :D

    edit-
    the new dv3-4000 series seems completely different. different chipset for i3,5,7.
    ati graphics. intel wifi link 1000. diff card reader etc etc.

    but still usb 2.0...i guess ill get a new one when they come with usb 3.0 :D

    I finally had some time to post the updates that happened over the past few days. :) Note that the new NVIDIA graphics drivers do not contain an HDMI audio driver or PhysX software, and all previous versions should be uninstalled first.

    No driver should actually be needed for the touch controls to work. But for good measure, you should install the HP Quick Launch Buttons as well as the IDT audio driver so that the mute button will change color correctly.
