    The Windows 8 driver is a preview - the driver supports WDDM 1.2 but the package does not include the PhysX System Software or HDMI Audio driver.

    You do not have to install this Intel Chipset Device Software package if you have already applied a previously released 9.2.X.XXXX or 9.3.X.XXXX package.

    NOTE: As some of you may know, Windows Vista mainstream support ended today (4/10). As a result, I have decided that all future releases posted will mention support for Windows 7 but not for Vista; I will be phasing out support for Vista as I continue to post updates. Driver releases specific to Windows Vista will continue to remain however, for as long as they are current.

    I will begin adding Windows 8 support to many of the drivers here, especially as we get closer to the final version. The Release Candidate phase will undoubtedly be a great time to update these posts, in order to prepare for those of you wanting to run Windows 8 on a full-time basis. :)

    Beta versions are not WHQL certified, at least on the few that I have tried. They may be self-signed by NVIDIA, but they don't contain the WHQL signature.

    Please correct me if I'm wrong about this release...

    Well I can't remember it warning me about it at the installation (it would do that otherwise, right?), but maybe I default-allowed it or something.

    /edit: http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/29368-v30124-windows-7vista-64bit-nvidia-oem-mobile/ does also claim that it is WHQL-signed.

    /edit2: But in the device manager under "Digital Signer" it says "NVIDIA Corporation" and not "Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher".

    This is up on the first post as version 14.3.2.6. Most of the Intel WiFi adapters for the notebooks here will not be updated to version 15.X with this driver release.

    Even though the digital signer is NVIDIA, it is not considered WHQL Certified because the "Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher" or "Microsoft Windows" Publisher is not present as the digital signer.

    Some users (including myself) have been experiencing issues with 6.10.6393.0, so I'm removing this for now. The driver constantly caused my laptop to hang, so I had to remove the driver in Safe Mode and then install 6.10.6388.0 once I rebooted.

    Hello Z3tor. I haven't been able to get my CIR reciever to work for a while now. I keep getting this status in the Resources tab of the driver:
    "Input/Output Range 0380 - 038E used by: Motherboard resources"
    (it seems to be a well known message all over the internet)

    Do you know if this driver solves that problem?

    Unfortunately it does not fix that problem. I was not aware of such conflict until now. I checked my ENE CIR reciever in Device Manager and looks like I'm having exactly same I/O conflict. Although my remote is working just fine, like it's been since day 1. I looked into release notes, but there's no mention about fixing conflicts..

    I just applied this package. It seems to initially work but when I restart, the xD controller of the JMicron card reader is not working according to the Device Manager. It shows that the device cannot start, or that it cannot be initialized since there are not enough free resources available (code 12).

    EDIT: Gave it one more go. I scanned for hardware changes in the Device Manager once it was installed, and the xD controller disappeared. Now there are three JMicron controllers instead of four...that is, until the laptop is rebooted. Restarting will cause the xD component to reappear (with an issue), and scanning for hardware changes will cause it to disappear again until the next reboot.

    I manually updated the HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor through the Device Manager, and that seemed to do the trick.

    I have a lot of updates to put up on the first post, and I apologize for not being able to do so...there are some drivers that I'll be adding up and some that I'll be removing shortly.

    That's odd. I have no such issues with my card reader using 1.0.68.0 driver.

    Then again my HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor driver refuses to update, even if I do it manually via Device Manager. The software updates fine. Go figure.

    EDIT: 'Have Disk' method forced HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor driver to update.
