    slate-driver-s1081-win7-bluetooth-4.0.4.334.zip download - 2shared

Try these, they work for me ( Ralink 3592 WLAN card) and are the LATEST for Motorola BC8 Bluetooth. I guess they are not uploaded here, because they are not HP official.

So I just upgraded my HP dv6C50TX with AMD 7470M to Windows 8 Pro, everything is working except for switchable graphics, I downloaded and install the driver from here and it still doesn't give me the switchable graphics option, I check the device manager and it listed my AMD 7470M as AMD 7400M Series, am I doing anything wrong? Should I uninstall all the AMD drivers and install them back?

This happens, if you install ONLY the AMD reference drivers (at the moment the Enduro does not work with Sandy Bridge).

Install the HP drivers first and than upgrade with the latest AMD reference drivers. You can try Leshcats drivers also, they work great!

    Hi!

This thread really helped me upgrading my HP dv7-6015eg to Windows 8 Pro! Now everything is working fine, only the Touchpad makes some problems. If i swipe in from the right side, it shows correctly the charm bar. But if I try to swipe from the left side, to get the previous app, nothing changes!

I used the Synaptic Driver from the main post.

Hopefully you can help me and sorry for my bad english,

    Michixxx

    Hi

I am new to this forum... I recently upgraded my dv6-6017tx to Windows 8 pro. I downloaded sp58788.exe for enabling graphics switching but it never gets installed properly. Always gives an error log. And CCC says there are no settings that can be configured using Catalyst control Center

I have had problems loading 12.6 on Dell 1550 with 4570 Radon card.
Using a custom installation works very well.
My video is excellent with Hauphauge video adapter. All colors are rich and approach
LED presentation. I am not a gamer.

i have just upgraded to windows 8 pro, when i ran the upgrade assistant the software said that everything is compatible
except ati catalyst(switchable graphics drivers) and intel proset mywifi driver and software. the last one i had to uninstall to go through the upgrade service

ok, the problem with the graphics drivers is fixed with ati 12.10
can someone tell me where to find a driver for intel proset mywifi?
the wireless driver is working but since upgrade it doesn't find Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter and i can't use my laptop for hotspot.
i used to have installed a software, my wifi dashboard i thing...

wireless card is Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030
sp54900 has copatibility issues - Intel Wireless Drivers, Intel PROSet, and Intel My WiFi for Microsoft Windows 7

this is a link with my notebooks drivers

It's really a shame that HP has not yet fully released Windows 8 drivers for their notebooks. Even worst for their flagship notebooks lines such as the Envy or the ridiculously popular Pavilions.

Especially the graphics situation is a pure joke. Not only they are forcing signed drivers to their models FOR NO REASON, by not allowing to download the vanilla drivers from AMD/nVIDIA, but they do not support their laptops properly.

Sorry for the of topic but this current situation with HP and the Windows 8 is just way of the limits...

Just install it from the SWSetup folder that you have.. If you don't have SWSetup folder, I can find the coolsense app and send it to you.

    Heya Guys
I just upgraded my dv6-6c60eo to Windows 8, and the driver installation went very well thanks to this thread.
But i have one problem, the fan seems to run alot more than it used to on Windows 7. Usually i could surf and listen to music and alot more, with out the fan running. And now i cant barely surfe a webpage without it running, and this is (and was) on the "recommended by HP" setting. I can only get around 3 hours out of the battery on the "power saving" profile, and i used to get 4-5 hours.
I've installed the right drivers for my AMD 7960m XT, and the drivers for WiFi and other Intel drivers. I tried installing the coolsens software but it didnt change anything. And im thinking i made a mistake installing the "HP power manager" software, intented for Windows 7. I've tried unstalling it, but the profiles still exsist.

Any thoughts on what to do, or what i might not have installed correctly?

No, I don't think CoolSense is compatible with Windows 8 yet. The CoolSense feature was a separate program, but was also built into the HP Support Assistant software, at least from what I remember in Windows 7. The latest HP Support Assistant (v. 7.0.39.15) for Windows 8 does not have this functionality yet.

I don't think it will work on Windows 8. I've tried installing the CoolSense from HP ( sp52814.exe) and it did not install properly.

HP has released a compatible ATI graphics driver for the Pavilions.... it's listed in the main drivers list.
    sp58788.exe

They aren't responsible for forcing signed drivers on their models.... that's a Microsoft Windows functionality. It was introduced in Windows 7 as an effort to help lock down the operating system
    More Information

You can disable it... but it will put a watermark on your desktop saying Windows 8/Windows 7 Test Mode.

Also, can install "vanilla ATI drivers" in fixed mode, but they might not have the switchable capabilities. That's why it's recommended to first install the latest HP package (sp58788.exe) and then install the latest ATI reference driver on top of it.

Is this compatible with the AMD 6850/Intel 3000 found in the Envy 2XXX line?
Because according to the first page of this forum it isn't.

I am not talking about the general Windows 7 signed driver aspect, which is generally a good thing. I am talking about that specific drivers like the graphic driver that needs to be signed by HP ONLY in order to get installed without modification. Other laptops, even previous and very recent HP Laptops with Windows 7, you were able to go to nvidia.com / amd.com choose your GPU download and install the latest driver and that's it.

By forcing the HP signed drivers is a lost/lost situation. AMD and nVIDIA has Windows 8 drivers ready from last summer, HP not only they do not support their models with the newer drivers frequently, but here happened the biggest fiasco of all. We are now a week after a HUGE MAJOR and SIGNIFICANT OS release and they haven't bother to officially released the graphics drivers yet... THE SAME Drivers that are available and already exist from nVIDIA, AMD and Intel since the previous summer...

    Unbelievable...

Hi guys! First of all, I wanna thank you for your hard work of gathering those drivers in this thread.
Secondly, I'm having a problem with audio driver in Windows 8, I'll write down the required specs first and then I'll try to explain the problem.

    System Specs:
    Mode: HP Pavilion DV6-6109tx
    OS: Windows 8 (Enterprise)

    Problem:
In IDT/Beats Audio Control panel, Beats Audio Sliders(bass, def., center, space, focus) under "listening experience" category have no effect at all. Because of that, sound is not as great as it is in windows 7.
Graphic Equalizer work but its no use until those other sliders start working.

Has anyone come across that problem?
If there is a work around this problem, please let me know.
    Regards.

Are you trying to install vanilla drivers on top of the HP driver you have already? I know in the past, if you wanted to do this, you need to uninstall the HP drivers and totally delete them off your system (you can't keep the installer around in case), and just install the vanilla drivers. If you do this, you won't be able to install HP drivers unless you uninstall and clear your system of the vanilla drivers. That's how it's been on my first gen dv5t and my Touchsmart tm2t.

I am doing the shame thing in Envy 17 2XXX and Windows 7. But most of the AMD Vanilla drivers install nicely, on top of the HP Signed drivers.

In Windows 8 people are reporting multiple serious problems with the graphic drivers, from bluescreens to overheating issues with switchable graphics not working at all times. Since I have no time to play around right now, I am waiting for some positive feedback or the official driver before I make the switch.

    Thanks for your reply. :)
I don't think DV7 series will have any problem with Audio.
But in my case, I think I'm screwed, HP won't be supporting this notebook which is so unfair. :(

Hope you find other driver, coolsense in my notebook isn't supported but could be useful as I hear fan revving up a lot and its pretty annoying.

It's stuck with AMD graphics but u can toggle the switch in the Catalyst Control Center, but then you would have to power off manually because the screen will be unviewable. Once you switch, you will no longer have option to switch back to AMD unless you uninstall and reinstall the Intel drivers

Are you installing HPSA 7.0 or 6.1.. I can't seem to find CoolSense in the newest version, but I am finding it in 6.1.. So if you have the latest, try uninstalling it and revert back to 6.1

Which still begs for the question, can anyone find CoolSense in 7.0??

@OP, the HP DM4-3000 Intel should be added to this cluster. The softwares used are the same. In actual fact, the HP DM4's design was based on the HP DV6-6000's. They both look very similar on the outside, the inside as well to a certain extent. This includes the beats edition HP DM4-3000 series.

I own one of these laptops and I can confirm it falls under this thread's cluster.

It works for dv6-6cxx, but CoolSense has only 2 modes - on and off.
The old version of HP Support Assistant 6 had 3 modes.

Another GPU Driver spotted for Windows 8 x64, on HP's ftp server.
That one states support for Envy 15 and Envy 17 but it doesn't specify what GPU is supporting or what generation of Envy (1XXX/ 2XXX/ 3XXX)

For those of you running Windows 8 please give it a try, your feedback will be very welcome.

I think that's an older version of the AMD driver.

    It says: 8.982.6.0 REV: B

Whereas if you look at sp59407..

    It says: 9.0.0.0

I have an HP dv7, so I can't test how it works on an Envy, but I'd be interested to see how it performs, especially given that it specifically is for those models and Windows 8.

Correct, the driver I posted is based on the old driver version 8.XXX however its release notes states its compatible with the Envy 15 and 17.
The sp59407 it may be based on the newer driver v9, but its been tested here and IT IS NOT compatible with the Envy 17 line.

This why I am asking for some feedback. We rather have the switchable graphics working correctly even-though we use the old driver

This driver is for the Hp Envy 3xxx series. I took a lot at the drivers and they are for the AMD Radeon 7700 and 7800 series. I tried them anyway on my HP Envy 2xxx with no luck. Thanks anyway! Keep em coming!

Dlasin, thank you for your feedback.

A new AMD driver just dropped at the ftp server. The file name is sp58969
The release notes are not available yet however, the installation welcome screen states that it is supporting Intel switchable graphics and the following GPUs:
    AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6620G
    AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6480G
    AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6520G
    AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6380G
    AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6750M

Envy 17 2XXX is based on 6850M but give it a try and let us know when you can, we have nothing to lose.

this was posted as a driver that would work on another blog

Is this something different/better than the driver listed on first page sp58788, under Radeon Drivers for this "illustrious" 7690m xt with Intel 3000 for W8?

As yet there is nothing listed on the HP driver support page for my dv7t-6c00 under Windows 8. ONLY the old Nov 2011 driver is still listed under Windows 7.

From my observations, these should work for you in Windows 8:

    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58815.exe

    AMD card in inf:

    "%AMD6740.7%" = ati2mtag_Vancouver_PXAI, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6740&SUBSYS_185E103C

    Intel card in inf:

    %ISNBGM2ML_SG% = iSNBM1ML_PROXY, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0116&SUBSYS_185E103C
