You can as long as it hasn't been dropped to the factory yet and you are willing to complain a little you can cancel your order. It is usually dropped to the factory within 24-36 hours.

I'm running up on 24 hours, I guess I'm going to roll the dice that the Bing folks will work it out.

I've been hovering around as a guest for a while, but I spotted this thread yesterday when the 30% first showed up...missed my opportunity then, but I just grabbed it now. :) Snagged a quad core Envy 15 with SSD for less than $1500.

i'm not sure exactly how it works, but either Microsoft or HP is throwing a lot of money at this thing. between a few of us at my office, we have received so much back that we are taking everyone out for margaritas today courtesy of Mr. Ballmer

Its Microsofts money. The plan was originally to sacrifice a tiny bit of search engine profits for a much larger market share but it didn't work so they shut it down :(

Haha, cheers! Good for you guys.

Didn't work? Because people figured out how much money they could get by using it? I heard they were discontinuing it by the end of the month, so I'm glad they had this one last hurrah before it ended for good. With my luck, they'll have a 50% cashback in a week.

this is pretty weird, huh? I guess microsoft wants people to keep randomly checking bing.com all day until it pops up? I know I have never used the bing search engine even once until yesterday.

Or maybe they laid off all the cashback program staff and somebody is getting their revenge on microsoft ;-)

it's gone again. One of HP's rep did say to check back in the morning.

it's no longer the morning (EST wise anyway, it's the afternoon)

Well, I submitted a new order with the 30%. We'll see if I get that confirmation from Bing. Fingers are crossed. I went with the 256 SSD and everything, so 30% would come out to $600+.

You can cancel. When I called to ask about adding the well-priced 160GB SSD, I was told to just cancel and reorder even though my order was accepted, confirmed, and in production. Even if I can't cancel, I have no problem with turning around and sending it back within the 21 day return period.

For those who got a confirmation or pending credit, how long did it take to show up in your account?

The best tip right now is try it now. It still shows 30% on the popup even though it shows 5% on the front page and some folks are still getting confirmations that the 30% is working.

Edit: You're right. It's not showing on the popup either now.

I did try about an hour and a half ago, when the 30% was showing up. But I screwed up and ended up with only 5% CB (long story; I've learned my lesson and won't do it again next time >.<), so I called HP to cancel. Now it's back to showing up as 5%.

I was like a little girl in a candy store and ended up with $850 cashback. Is there a limit on the amount of cashback? That HP Envy 14 price really climbs once you start adding options and accessories.

its been discussed that there is no limit

I hope everyone that missed it yesterday got theirs today because it is once again down to 5%. I was actually thinking about buying an extra one and reselling it on Ebay to some Canadians.

Same thing happened to me. I guess it switched during the 5 min it took me to place the order. I was also thinking of cancelling right away but I did take a screenshot of the 30% popup so I opened a service request with Bing CB. Hopefully they'll honor it. If not, I will be cancelling as well.

I was having credit card issues (as in: finding one lol) so it took me awhile to work through checkout. Since a good 10 minutes had passed since I clicked on the site with 30% cashback, I was worried that my idling time might've caused something to go wrong (stupid assumption, I know). So I opened a new window and tried clicking through to HP again to see if it was still 30%; no luck, it was 5. Half a second later I realized what a dumb move that was since that probably reset my cookies. I went through with the order anyway, but as expected, the Bing email confirmed only 5% cashback. So I called to cancel. Sigh..

Same exact situation here, the first charged was flagged as fraud so it took me a few minutes to get the charge to go through and the order to go through on HP's end. I submitted a Support Ticket with Bing before I give up though, the 30% is too good not to fight for. If they can't do the 30% I'm definitely canceling.

Oh man, I'll feel like twice the loser if I could have argued through Bing. But seeing as I didn't have a screenshot of the 30%, and the 30% was vague at that (since Bing's shopping page advertised 5%), idk. I was more nervous about getting the cancel in before the 24-hour window.

At this rate, all this stalking Bing stuff is getting me so worked up I'm not sure it's worth my $200+ potential savings anymore lol. Damn me.

Screenshot or not, if you saw the 30%, I think they should give it to you. But that's me and I want my money! :p Even if I had to wait until the laptop shows up at my door to return it, that's fine with me. The 21-day no-question return policy keeps you pretty safe.

Where did you get that info? As far as I can tell from the BCB site, there is no limit on individual purchases and just a limit of $2500/year on total cashback.

    See: http://www.bing.com/community/forums/p/649508/9546700.aspx

Oh, the 30% Bing discount is over. After I bought my Envy 14 ($948 after 30% BCB & $50 LogicBuy discount), I tried to buy something for a friend 15 mins later, but could only get 5% from Bing. So if u didn't take advantage of the 30% BCB, it might be too late now since Microsoft is ending Bing Cashback as of July 31st. So you'll have to wait for HP coupons discount....or other cashback means.

Hmm, I read on another thread that the limit is $500 per transaction but I can't find it anymore, so maybe I'm mistaken (hopefully). Check your bing account & see if any cashback is pending. I made an order for the Eny 14 about 30 mins ago & I already have a "$372 Pending..." under my account tab.

Your cashback is going to be cancelled if you used a coupon.

And the only monetary limit to BCB is $2500 per year.

I heard it from one of the people in the quasi envy 14 owner's lounge "waiting for it to ship" lounge thing.

someone mentioned that yesterday. And then 30% happens again today.

Dunno at all what'll happen now though

My Bing account is showing the $372 cashback pending....will this change or get cancelled? I read about the coupon negating BCB deal after I did it. I was about to call HP to cancel & re-order, but then I saw the "$372 cashback pending...59 days" under my Bing account tab. So perhaps I'm ok? Anyone w/ experience about this?

I just checked, and it's showing up on my account. Placed my order around 9:00, and it's 12:21 right now. I never checked my account until now, though.

Generally, it will be canceled, but my friend who took advantage of the $450 coupon HP offered a while back was able to do both, and Bing never caught it. Luck of the draw, really.

Here is some marketing logic [?] People shop more in the evening when they get home from work, and during lunch hour. It makes sense in order to boost HP sales, that Bing offers 30% during the morning (HP pays Bing to advertise ect.), so that they get more people buying, but not enough that it would cause a loss in profit.
    Or...
Maybe they are just playing tricks on us.

I already put my order in, but Protip; to those of you who haven't. The cash-back deal will probably be in morning. Wake up early to check, every morning. Hell put an auto clicker on the F5 button so you know the instant it happens!

Tomorrow I'm waking up at 8AM, EST, and after I crawl my all but lifeless body out of bed, I'll be on Bing. But idk. It already happened two days in a row.. slim chances for a third =/. Damn I need this 30%.

What do you think are the chances if I call HP and ask when a higher % CB will be? XD

It's not likely Bing that will catch it, it is HP. They send the invoices to Bing to confirm the purchases and authorize the cashback. So when HP sees the use of a coupon they will advise Bing to cancel the cashback. It's an interactive arrangement between Bing and the stores, not one running alone from the other.

Bing caught my use of the 400 dollar coupon on my Dv6tSE, I had 5% pending for a couple days and then today I got an email saying it was cancelled, possibly due to using a coupon. Oh well I guess, it was only 51 dollars.

Just received an email back from bing regarding the service request I had opened. It just said that my case had been escalated to an expert and that they would work with me to get it figured out. I've submitted 5 screen shots and pdf docs of my HP receipt and paypal payment.

    Hope it works!

    ^ Best of luck, ProMed!

Lol. The 2% is just through HP Direct. If you search "HP Laptops" and click the sponsored link, it still comes in as 5%. Not much better though.
