hope that means i can use both, well see

I threw out $2000 as a guess of what it might cost to add some ram, an extra battery/battery slice, etc.
The press release says $1800.
Pricing and availability
The HP ENVY 13 and ENVY 15 are expected to be available in the United States on Oct. 18 with a starting price of $1,699 (envy 13) and $1,799 (envy 15), respectively.(5) Register for availability notification at www.hpdirect.com/go/newfromhp.
Additional information about HP ENVY will be available the morning of Sept. 15 at www.hp.com/go/ENVY.
The www.hp.com/go/ENVY is a nice marketing site for the machine. -
If it can be done, I am so canceling my Dell and getting this.

This is also on the bing faq:
http://www.bing.com/shopping/pages/...IneedtoknowanythingspecificwhenshoppingwithHP
Entering a coupon code at the payment page will void your cashback. Also, beginning 10/2009, the Friends & Family program, HP Academy program, and the Employee Purchase Program can no longer be combined with cashback. -
ahhh, that sucks. Well 25% is still good

8 more minutes...lolz

Looks like this will be the eventual link when the new site goes live:

I wish I would have known about this sooner cause I just dropped $2000 to finish paying off a wedding photographer/couch/king size bed loan. I will have to wait a while till probably Christmas and use the cash I get then to help pay for the Envy 15 (dont want to max out the old credit card for this laptop). Might even hold off till I get my taxes back and use that as well, thought I'm sure my wife already has plans for that money....
How often do these Bing cash back offers happen and how do they work? I have never used this before? If they happen often enough, I might wait until the next one. -

Still not working....

I think they are still working out some kinks. Let's not all freak out just yet, lets give them a bit more time.
-
To lower the specs you have to pay a ****load of money!

WOW! The 1800 Config sucks!!! No second battery, no mic, no eOD, and the up to the 820 is 400!!! Even more than delL!!
I will pass this, and be happy with my Dell -
Edit: In all honesty though, I am not thrilled with options so far. I guess we will see. -
http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/cto.do
Webcam Only
Included in price
HP site. THAT is a FAIL! -
Woah, the values are all screwed up lol.
Also, options are pretty lame so far. Not enough included. I think I'm gonna have to pass -
Yes they are. And no mic is a deal-breaker for me, no OD and no battery slice ruined it.
Imma stick to my Dell SXPS16 -
That would make the whole webcam pretty pointless if there really is no mic. Here's hoping its just a kink and when I wake up tomorrow there'll be lots of pleasant fixes on the site.
-
And the 25% still on of course.
ATM, HP screwed it for me. My already ordered Dell is better-for-the-money -
-
I wonder how much the price will drop if I only order 2 GB of ram and choose the lower screen resolution...
-
+1600 ATM hahahahahaha
-
I'm sure it's because it costs them that much to go out back open the box with the other panels and put them in.
-
Maybe they just forgot to change the + to a -, lol, I wish.
-
LOL!!!!!
I wish! But dont think so...they are organized by price...if the + to - thing is true, the going for 8 gigs is cheaper -
Actually, I think I'm officially not going to buy this because the battery slice isn't included. I don't want to pay an extra $125 just for an extended battery. That is just wack. I hope its a typo or something, but if its not, count me out. I mean come on, is a battery too much to ask?
-
And NO OD Bay, and the worst NO MIC!!! What were they thinking?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!
And 100 bucks to get another 2GB stick is outrageous, and 400 for the 820 is a no-go! Dell offers it for 350 and that is robbery. -
I personally am annoyed with no firewire! ...hehe. -
The $1999 config includes ODD and battery slice. Good deal for $200 extra.
I still think the 4 SODIMM slots is a great value - $100 extra will take you to 8GB. Try that with any 2-slot laptop.
Obviously the hp.com site has "some" initial errors, give it a day or two. -
under the personalization tab, under the picture on the left it says includes microphone
-
-
where is the ssd?
-
-
-
so the only difference between the envy 15 and envy beats is the optical drive is included, its black, and costs +$500?
Really?? come on hp -
No SSD. And the config with bat slice and OD is the same as the basic, simply added the things, you can do that by going the other way and adding it yourself. Still too expensive, even if we count the 25% CB from Bing...
-
-
Beats Edition is the definition of a rip-off.
-
it doesnt even say if the 4830 is using ddr3 or gddr3. it would be nice to know
thats actually not a bad price for 16gb of ram.
it would have been nice if some of the prices had been wrong but in our favor. i think a few of them are but not enough options line up to make it worth purchasing today. -
-
HP Envy 15? i7 meets 4830+15" screen!
