Well, my laptop finally got shipped out of Shanghai on the 20th but I didn't have any problems in Alaska for customs. I guess I should be greatful about that since so many people have seemed to have so many problems.

 

Wow I'm amazed. Does anyone know when they will be delivered, or if we can pick them up at a fedex location on a Saterday. My flight leaves on Monday morning at 6 am so I am kind of in a bind. Any information would be appreciated. I live in AZ.

I would suggest giving FedEx a call

 

Just called Fedex to see about Saturday delivery. Told only HP can expidite the shipment. I'm guessing HP won't have anyone there to do it when the package is airborne due to the time difference, so I'm going to request them to hold for pickup.

Kudo's to Fedex for actually providing factual information during this ordeal. Fedex has been a pleasure to deal with this week. The Fedex rep I just spoke with said that HP is her biggest nightmare followed by Verizon and Direct TV.

I'm going to call back in an hour and a half and see if I can get it held!

 

HP would help alot to mend bad feelings by having these systems delivered Saturday.

 

Didn't most of these still ship before their estimated ship date?

 

When I first ordered thru HP, the estimated ship date was the 22nd. But it ended getting shipped on the 15th, before getting frozen in Alaska.
Wonder if there is a connection between the original ship date and the day the clearance delay was lifted?

 

I ordered mine on the 6th with a ship date of the 20th. On the 20th I was told it shipped on the 15th and stuck Alaska. Now I am told that it was not built and and will not ship untill the 27th. I am not sure why my DV9500t is taking so long to build. What did everyone else order?

Yes they did, but once a tracking number was issued it becomes a different matter. People made plans based on the delivery dates provided by the tracking numbers. People get excited. Just because it shipped early does not excuse HP's lack of concern and improper handling of the US Customs issue. 6 days in customs for a shipment from a massive company like HP? Surely they should know how to properly handle these shipments. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so!

I would think either the HDDVD, T7500, or Ultra Bright display might have caused your delay.

 

quick question do they deliver on saturday, by the way i want to share with you that igot my dv900t before i sent it back in 2 day from ship date,...if customs doesn't hold your **** up that can be a possibility

 

Unless HP paid for a Saturday delivery, i doubt they will come till Monday

 

My tx1000 arrived today. Though the FedEx site states it's still in Indianapolis. Sweet...hope you guys gets yours. Good luck.

 

you all are scaring me.... I ordered my dv6000z on June 8th, was suppose to go out June 19th, got an email on the 21st saying there was a part delay and it'd be out on the 30th, 8pm that night of the 21st Fedex said the item was in Shangai.. and now it's in AK a day later...
Either one, it was never even shipped out yet or two it'll be held up along with the others. My other HP was here within 2 weeks but it wasn't a custom built, wow what a difference it makes..
Oh and i just got this email.

does anyone have to be at the destination location to get it delivered, or do fedex guys just come bak later?

someone has to be there so the Hp site said, they attempt to get a signed signature for delivery 3 times before they send it back to the warehouse or whatever

 

at 7:15 this morning mine got to the local Fedex location, going to see if they will let me pick it up.

 

If your not there they will leave a door hanger saying something like:

Resident was not here, you have option of coming to local FedEx station and picking it up after 6 PM today, or Check the Day you want it delivered.

Then you sign your name, because you need someone who's 18 or older to sign for it, which is why they couldn't just drop it off, and then they'll come back and check what day you checked, and drop it off that day.

 

If you know your tracking number you can call FedEx 24/7 and tell them you'll pick up your item instead of delivery. They will hold it for you. I've done this many a times since I know I wouldn't be home for delivery.

 

Has the Fedex, HP and US Customs ordeal got over ??
Has anybody got their stuck laptop delivered yet ??

 

Mine was released on Friday, It has since made its way to my local Fedex. I should mine tomorrow.

 

I ordered mine Friday the 22nd, est. was July 2nd. Maybe one of the parts (I have exact same setup as you except for HDD) is holding up our "batch" until 7/2.

My item like everyone else's was released. It went from Alaska to Oakland on Saturday. Then it departed Oakland early Saturday. Since then there has not been any status change. Shouldn't it have gotten to my Local Fedex station in Southern California by now? Do you guys think it will still be delivered Monday? I will be so mad if it isnt... haha

is the fedex estimated delivery date usually on target? mine says 6/26 by 10:30am but its still in indiana and it's been there since 2/23 at 8am, i live in maryland anyways im hoping that 6/26 is accurate because im staying home in the morning just to make sure im there to sign

 

Thats good news .. People are getting their stuck laptops. Congrats guys.. Hope HP doesnt repeat the same feat again. Keep Ur Documents in place HP otherwise you will be under Hot Pursuit (HP) from customers.

My order status doesnt yet show any tracking no. So I believe its not yet started from China. Will I get it this week ?? Thats the biggie quest.

Finally got it! I thought this day would never come!

 

That week of clearance delay scared me. I thought the box was going to be all rummaged through.

Mine arrived around 945 this morning! Yay.

 

Have you all ordered the dv6500t or the dv9500t ? It seems the dv9500t orders are still getting delayed..

 

I got my laptop before it was even supposed to be finished... it was supposed to ship on the 30 and I got it today.

 

Wouldn't it be ironic that HP probably had them in stock all along? They probably had enough in stock in their warehouses.

 

How on earth is that possible ? My dv9500t order status still shows a shipping date of 28th June. NO Tracking Number has been provided yet.

 

My 9500 was ordered on the 11th, shipped on the 15th, receved on the 25th thanks to the delay in Alaska.

 

Funny I ordered my 9500t on the 12th. It says estimated ship date of today 6-26 but it still hasn't shipped yet. I'm beginning to worry there is a supply problem. I'm going to have to call HP today. Funny how some shipped so early and some haven't shipped at all.

 

Guy's - HP notifies when it ships. Hp lists the ship date not the arrival date. So for a promised ship date of 6-29 (I have the same ship date estimate on a 9500) you shouldn't expect any notification until 6-29 or 6-30-2007.

Any out there with an estimated ship date of 6-25-07? If so, whatis the status of your order?

 

They're just estimates, and they'll change based on the parts they have or don't have.

 

I had a chat with HP Customer Rep. I asked whats the status.. She said it will be shipped by 28th. Thats tomorrow and I dont really think that would happen. It seems the dv9500t models are stuck and the dv6500t models are getting built earlier and delivered faster.
I told the rep that I have to get it delivered by 3rd of Jul otherwise I wont be able to accept it. She said please change the shipping method to Express delivery, which in fact is going to cost more.

hmm.. it seems that the estimated date can be given once it reaches US.
Currently the status shows "Shipment exception"..

 

same, i'm thinking this monday probably for delivery if there isn't another customs nightmare.
