    I played dumb and asked if they could upgrade my machine. When he said it's not possible, I acted disappointed and asked if he could give me a comparable refund.

    He didn't really say anything we don't already know . . . it was more of a description of the features instead of a critique. The one thing he did say (and show) was that it was easy to pop the back off and get at some of the components.

    Not at all dumb Wade, it took me a bit to spot it. Up at the top click on Customer Service, then scroll all the way to the bottom and look to the left and you should see a button that looks like speak bubbles that says "Live Chat".

    Click on customer support, then click on the picture on the right that says live support or something like that.

    FYI, I didn't get very far with the live chat. Calling would be better.

    The index scores for 2630's and no SSD were showing 5.9 on the HD and 7.6's and 7.4 on the others.

    Thats a pretty terrible deal, got my dv7t for nearly the same price with more ram, newer processor, and better HDD.

    Perhaps the fact that they aren't offering the 2nd gen processors is evidence of the shortage?
