The 3AM shipping notifications is just a rumor.

I got mine at about 7PM CST

I just spoke to a HP drone.

: "I have checked that so far, your PC has not yet been shipped from our factory yet. Though, there is already updates that we have orders going to be shipped today until midnight. "

Looks like they are dbling their shipping output.

My dv6t was supposed to ship 4/22, but I haven't gotten any updates/tracking info on it. The customer service says "Ma'am I see no problem with your order and FedEx may have just forgotten to update your tracking number", and I ask "So it's shipped?", but they reply "I can't be certain"

    They don't know anything :(

My original ship date was Friday 4/08. Got delay notice the evening of Monday 4/11.
Online order status still shows 4/08.

being patient not my strong suite and definately not waiting. But its easier to do when you have no choice. I cant find another notebook that I would rather have or even would settle for. So I wait and hope that there is no delay and that HP finally worked through the parts delays. Work those factories 24/7 over in China! Maybe see early ship!!!! LMAO

For those of you who had your notebook on a "Clearance Delay" in Anchorage, AK, how long was it there for before it moved out ?

    Thanks

I was just reading a posting on Yahoo Answers from 2007 and the guy said his HP Laptop had been stuck in "clearance delay" in Anchorage for six days and counting. A guy answered him and said this:

"Same problem here. HP shipped my Pavilion dv6500t laptop on June 15th from Shanghai China, then it arrived at Anchorage Alaska on June 16th, its been in Clearance delay ever since. I have called Fedex & HP, according to Fedex, its being hold up because HP didn't send the correct paperwork for all the customized computers."

Sounds like more of the same since these are customized orders. I can't take another week of waiting. The guy answered back saying his laptop arrived six days late.

Well, I really can't see any reason for them to be held up other than the paperwork being screwed up, so I think that post may very well be right.

Well customs doesn't work on Sunday anyway. I don't think Fedex does either. I wonder if that means customs will have today (monday) off.

I found a forum on here from last year where people were talking about the exact same kinds of delays in Anchorage dealing with messed up paperwork from HP. And some of them seemed to last for a number of days. Some people said they received emails from HP informing them of the delay, saying they were working to sort the problems out.

TBH I wouldn't be surprised if HP messed up again. After all of this, I'm really not going to be surprised at anything that they throw at us.

I just called FEDEX and asked them about my notebook sitting in Alaska for three days on a clearance delay.

They said that the package is missing some paperwork, and they are not allowed to send it out until HP sends them over the missing papers.

    So I shall keep waiting.

    FYI

Too bad they aren't taking responsibility by admitting that they didn't send the proper paperwork. It just seems to be a comedy of errors with HP lately.

Got the delay email this morning. Now shipping 5/3. Also got the separate 15% off on future orders (yeah right).

Question/Advice - has anyone called and requested the 10% off on this order without receiving that email? As I understand it, if your order was delayed more than once, then the 10% off emails were sent.

I'm thinking of calling and requesting the 10% and referencing all of the stories I have read here.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

I understand that the computer has to be put together, but come on!!

On April 3rd i ordered the dv6 with sandy bridge i7 and Radeon HD 6770m graphics. Of course I used the coupon that got me $375 off. And as happy as I was about it, they said my estimated ship date from the warehouse would be April 22nd, already a pretty hefty wait IMO. But now its four days past that, and there still is no tracking number provided which tells me it's not shipped yet, let alone built.

Is anyone else having this same problem?
    Is this a common problem?
From what I've read, some people have gotten their laptops in as short as a week. Whats the difference here?

Near $1000 on anything should mean they send it to you on time, no matter what it is.

I registered to see if I could help some people out.

I ordered the following on 04/04/11:

My original ship date was 04/25/11. I woke up this morning with no notice (par the course from what I've read in this thread) so I called up HP to speak with them about it. she told me there was no update on my computer and to wait 24-48 hours. I then told them that I would like to speak with the resolution center however she instead handed me off to a supervisor.

In the nicest way I could, I pretty much laid into him saying I understood the situation but they needed to understand mine. I had to have this computer by next week for work and I would not accept a delay.

The supervisor then assured me I would get a notice on my computer by 7 PM (eastern US time) and that if I did not, to call him directly so that we could work out a solution.

I told him that I was sure I would be talking to him in in about 10 hours about my delay and hung up the phone.

To my utmost surprise, 5 minutes after hanging up the phone I received a shipping confirmation through my e-mail.

Now this could all just be a coincidence but I really doubt it.

Just remember that you paid for this product and it's THEIR job to do their best to get it to you. 3 weeks to receive a computer is ALREADY a compromise on your part. It's HPs turn now.

Best of luck to everyone else and I hope computers ship soon.

Its scheduled to arrive this Thursday. Well see

I ordered on the 16th, shipped from Stockholm, Sweden on the 21th and it was delivered to my post office one workday after on the 26th.

This is probably my last post ever in this forum. I wish you all good luck, and you wont be dissappointed. It's worth waiting for.

I ordered 4/4 too and build date of the 25th, I also recieved a shipped email this morning without any effort to complain.

Nonetheless, our laptops are on the way!

Not gonna lie, i do feel better that someone else has (had) it worse than me. I just don't fully understand i guess. Well thankfully you've gotten your tracking number. Please, if you get the chance to, could you let me know when you recieve it too? It would be kinda nice to have an idea of how long the shipping part is going to take once they tell you what the tracking number is. I chose the 5 - 7 day shipping, but who knows

I've Ordered Mine on 4/2 and i dont have any confiramtion until now! When i checked with customer resolutions department they are saying that this order is not on the delay list and to wait for another 24-48 hrs to receive the email confirmation on the status.
As mine is not on delay list, Does it mean that this can be shipped in next 2 days?

Just spoke with HP. Had to request a supervisor. Spoke with Peter. Understood and stated that the 15% coupon was all that was available, but did still give me the 10% off, which I'll see when my laptop ships.

I just told him the 15% doesn't do me any good and hoped HP would make it right.

It was worth the 15 minutes on the phone (12 of them on hold).

Thanks and good luck to everyone.......not bad $890 total for a new dv7tqe with upgrades!

My estimated is 4/25. With a 4/4 order. I have not gotten an email but I plan to call tonight if I don't get the email. This is for a dv6tqe with the 640 hdd and 6770. Everything else is stock. Replying from my cell, pardon the bad grammar

Quick update: dv7 went directly from Shanghai to Memphis ... no Japan, no Anchorage ... but now on hold in Clearance Delay. Does 'direct to Memphis' mean they were really trying to expedite shipment (as promised)?

    Ordered: 3/20
    Shipping: 5-7 business days

Even with expedited shipping, it still has to clear customs, so expedited shipping on internationally built custom laptops is irrelevant.

FedEx is extremely good with their predicted delivery dates. I hope they won't be a dissapointment like HP... but then again HP is still causing problems (clearance delay = incorrect clearance papers for our deliveries).
