Hahah there just HAD to be some sort of delay huh? At least it shipped!
-
Nope, it's closed on weekends. Wellwell, at least I didnt get any delays.
-
I found this cool site. Once your computer ships, you can track FEDEX's plane to see where it is!

HP ships on weekends? -_____- i can tell mine is going for a 3rd delay today is 24, and no email tomorrow s'pose to be ship date
-
This.
I don't think anyone cares where anyone's package is in the world. What we care about (and the purpose of this thread) is orders that should have been a package but have been delayed. The only reason people are interested in this thread is because they are looking for information that may be relevant to their order shipping.
For instance, my dv7 order was placed 03/21
Received ship notification 04/22
Package was actually picked up by Fedex 04/24
Expected Delivery to MN is 04/28
(this information may be valuable to people who placed dv7 orders around my date)
At this point I don't really care where it is in the world (and I doubt any of you do either), because it's on it's way. I will no longer have to call HPs godawful customer support (assuming my order was correct and that the laptop is 100% functional). I could and moan about it going to some different port or being held up in customs but in all reality it's a miracle of recent times that a package can leave China and arrive in Minnesota 4 days later. A few years ago that would have taken a few weeks.
Please keep the useless information out of this thread. Do we really need to create a "Where my package is at this hour" thread? -
tl;dr
This is a order status thread. No where did it specifically say what people could and could not post. Hence, anything that pertains to the original topic is valid. Stop being so stingy. -
Just ordered my dvrq build date is may 20th
-
Yes, but there is no point in posting useless information that only makes it harder for those trying to find useful info. Maybe I should just start posting hourly updates on my tracking information until I have it in my hands?
-
I'm in the same boat. I got my shipping notification late Friday night, and that was the first message in the FedEx system Saturday night. My ETA is 4/28, but since I live in TN, I expect it'll be much sooner. I could see it as early as Tuesday, and really hope it gets here by Wednesday; I'm going out of town Thursday.
-
Heh. I applied my 15% coupon and price-match discount to the Logigech solar keyboard, and picked up a black M510 on sale at Best Buy. I already have a sleeve for the laptop (for home use), but the bags I've seen don't look roomy enough to handle the laptop, AC cord, cooling pad, and mouse. I figure once the machine comes in, I'll take it to a couple of office supply stores and see how it fits.
-
Hey everyone I know you are just dying to know my FedEx tracking information.
Still in
SHANGHAI CN as of 3:51pm CST. I'll post another update within the hour. -
You're in MN? They should've sent mine with yours!!!
By the way, when I got the email asking me to reply to keep my order, I replied and asked them what's with the delays, and this is what I got:
-
Ordered on 3/20 and still yet to ship
-
Update for those who care (like Bag3l)
Still in SHANGHAI CN!
Sorry I was late in the posting. -
Haha mines stuck in Anchorage. I'd prefer them to put "No Deliveries on Easter" rather than "Clearance Delay" because it's obvious that everyone is on vacation today lmao.
-
There's going to be very little useful information that's found in an Order Status discussion thread.
-
Actually, there has been useful information in this thread. The postings by people whose laptop has shipped is not a generic "in shanghai", "still in shanghai", "Just like a couple hours ago, still in shanghai." (Like a certain someone is posting and acting link one of my 12 year old students.) Rather they have been informative to those of us who have been waiting over a month for our laptops and who have actually had them ship.
Several of us have laptops that have shipped and have had some strange events along the way. (Delayed in Shanghai. Sent to Japan then detoured for some reason to Incheon, Korea. Now delayed in customs.)
If it weren't for posts like these (here and on other forums), I wouldn't have known that the customs delay is common for HP, that there is a way to track FedEx planes, that most HP laptops go through Anchorage before making their way to Tennessee.
The posts by those of us who have them on the way have not been spamming. Those who feel offended by them, look beyond them. Certainly, there haven't been a large flood of posts to detract from other topics, since, in all sincerity, there haven't been many other posts related to the delay from which to be detracted. -
Here's a useful question. Hp owes me about 400 off my purchase price to be refunded to me. So far I've recieved an email about one of those. Are they taking their time on a few or should I call. Mines in Alaska so it just shipped like Friday. Thanks for the help.
-
Still in China. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
I hope you all find this useful. -
got your point and understand your anger. It will be helpful if you post after your laptop reaches next stop.
-
Your welcome because i was the only one that posted that my laptop was in Incheon.
-
You're acting like a child.
-
There's no anger. It made sense for the first couple people to post their shipping routes so the rest of us know. Now that it has been confirmed that our laptops can take some odd trips to get here I personally don't see a need to keep posting tracking info.
But, it seems that others still find other people's tracking information quite informative.
=========================
In all seriousness.
We now know roughly the dates that are currently shipping for the dv6. Seems that April orders are already shipping. This date is likely to change and updates are informative to those waiting.
We now know roughly the dates that are currently shipping for the dv7. Seems to be around the 20th (give or take). This date is likely to change and updates are informative to those waiting.
We now know roughly the time and the routes that the packages take from HP to the doorstep. These shipment times and routes are unlikely to change, so posting updates is not informative to others.
If everyone posted their tracking information this thread would be a disaster. -
I don't think Incheon, Korea is a standard route, but that's besides the point.
People will experience shorter to no delays once the crisis in Japan is over. Simple as that. -
What does it matter where it is? Fedex is a very reputable shipping company with (typically) very accurate ship times. I've had a 400lb ground package go 1/3 the way across the country and land on my doorstep less than 18 hours after they received it.
Now, if it was HP that was the shipper I'd have some concern! -
^Hahaha +rep for the picture xD
-
I was in almost the same situation. I called and they said they will make note of the discounts that I am supposed to receive in the first place. You probably should call because they may be forgetful.
-
I think you both need to relax and stop acting like five year olds aruing in the sandbox. This is an open forum, People can post what they want and as long as it pertains to the general topic of the thread I'd say its acceptable, but then again who am I to decide. This thread was created just for the fact that too many people were posting shipping information and delays in the owners lounge, and now people are getting mad that it is posted here? Maybe we should start a new thread that only deals with the current positions of our laptops? (sarcastic). Just quit the bickering, Everyone is alittle annoyed that our laptops haven't shipped on the original estimated date, and rightfully so. There is no need however to take it out on the people who are trying to make this forum a better source of information.
-
My laptop is currently in an assembly plant in China.
-
Thanks for being the only person to say anything not forum drama oriented -
I received all notices of my credits (Price Adjustment for new coupon, 10% for delay) after I received notification that the laptop had shipped.
I would contact HP resolutions (more so than just plain-jane customer service) and see what is up. -
Hi,
I Have orderd my DV6tqe on 4/2 it's ship date is 4/25. Still the Order status showing as "Order in production
(Estimated to ship on April 25, 2011) "
What are the chances of shiping tomorrow? -
It' the same here, wish it could be shipped tomorrow
-
Shipping dates have been so fussy lately. You'll have to wait 48 hours after tomorrow to see, sorry to say.
-
Actually, I wish the ship could be delayed, so I can get 10% off for that
-
Dude, please quit bickering like an immature child. This is order status thread so anyone can post ANYTHING related to the order status of their laptops, including shipping information. If you are so offended, please (1) skip the posts that you find disinteresting or (2) jump to another forum/thread that you find appealing.
-
Schnit made me go through pages of useless posts.
-
Does anyone know how long a typical clearance delay is?
-
Here's my situation:
Ordered dv7t on 4/3. Shipping date is shown as 4/22 (this past Friday). Still shows 4/22 this AM.
Have not received any emails since the 4/3 order confirmation. Should I call HP and complain to see if they'll give a 10% credit - even without them sending a revised shipping date?
Thanks! -
You could call but I don't think they typically send the delay mails on the weekends. You'll most likely get the mail later today.
-
The dv6s seem to be shipping before the 7s. Id say if it hasn't shipped yet it will early this week. If HP has changed this and they are processing them all in order it will probably not ship this week as the most recent dv7 date that I know of is 03/23
-
My estimated ship date is also today. Ordered 4/4. Will let you guys know what goes down.
-
My 3/21 order hasnt shipped yet. If yours does before mine I might lose it.
-
The day has finally come.
Shipped: 4.24 (yes, Easter Sunday) (??)
ETA: 4.28
Finally.
~$800 isn't bad, though. Hopefully it was worth the wait. -
I just ordered friday. Anyone think that I will get their estimated ship date or get a delay? Its a dv7t Quad

Two days earlier than it is supposed to be. -
If you lose it. I totally understand
-
If I remember correctly, someone said their shipping notification came to them at 3am? 04/25 was the estimated shipping date. It's 6 hours past 3am for me. =( I think my hopes have been dashed.
-
My latest estimated ship date was 4.27, and I got the email with the tracking # at 11pm on 4.22. I don't see any particular pattern that you can follow here, so don't fret too much yet. It could come later tonight, or early tomorrow maybe.
-
I ordered on 4/11 with an expected ship date of 5/3. I don't expect to see a delay (if it occurs at all) until at a minimum 48 hours past 5/3. So just wait patiently.
