Ditto, even the same date.
Edit
Forgot to add that on sunday I had a chat session with hp, I didn't mention the new date, the rep apparently didnt have access to it (or didn't see it) since, without prompting antyhing about dates, apologized for missing the 11th (my original date), and said I should receive a mail that night (sunday) with a new ship date. I had received my 19th ship date on the 12th. The right hand really doesn't have a clue what the left hand or foot is doing at HP.

Delay Email recieved Yesterday.
Delayed to 5/2
Original Build Date: 4/15
Original Ship Date: 4/23
New Ship Date: 5/2 -
My order date of 3/21 has still not shipped today (dv6t)
-
I put in a cancelation request on my dv7t and got the following email:
Hello ####,
This is the most recent update on your order cancellation request. After reviewing your order we have verified your custom built PC has already moved into the production process. However, we are making an active attempt to fulfill your cancellation request.
If successful, we will notify you by email and the refund will be issued. Typically, your bank will post your credit within 5 business days.
If unsuccessful, you will receive a ship notification email. If you choose not to keep the product, please call us on 1-866-217-6014 to arrange a return and credit.
If I read this email correctly, they can still ship my order and make me do an RMA in order to cancel if my order is already in production. I am not desperately in need of a new laptop nor an HP laptop, I could see myself getting a Dell, Sager or Asus instead. Anyhow, I thought I couldn't lose if I put in a cancelation: if the cancelation request causes them to speed things up or move me up on the queue to avoid having to honor my cancelation, so be it; if not, I get a refund and will order another one/brand at a later date, still no biggie.
My timeline so far: 3/29 (order), 4/13 (Initial Estimated Date), 4/22 (First Delay Date). -
This is what I feel like doing because of all the delays:
-
one word in my mind. "Damn"
-
I just got my Quick Ship model today and I posted some information about it in the main thread.

Stuff happens, but this is no way for a large corporation to respond to a problem like this. Ive never owned anything but a Dell, but was so unhappy with their customer service I decided to look at HPs line and was really happy with the deal I *thought* I got on a dv7t.
Their standard email has links for checking order status (which turns out is NEVER updated), and for providing feedback. The feedback link is has the wrong order number and copying and pasting your order number just gives you false information. When I pointed these things out to the Custom PC Escalation Manager, he replied that the order link worked fine for him. They HAVE to know that both of these links are useless.
Id like to see a statement on their home page that clearly states what has happened, what they know, and what customers can and cannot expect. It sounds like the chipset problem is beyond their control, but the way theyve handled it is beyond the worst of the worst customer service and management.
Should I ever get the laptop I ordered, it will be my last HP. -

When I click on the quick ship option for the dv7t qe it actually shows the photo and specs for the dv6t qe. What's up with that?!?!?

I received an e-mail on 4-15 that I was delayed until 4-27. I just received an e-mail saying that they regret that they are forced to delay my shipment until 4-27. Yes, the same date as the previous e-mail. I have a feeling they have so many delays, they don't know what to do and who has or has not been notified.

saturnotaku Notebook Nobel Laureate
In the delay notification e-mail, does it mention that you have the option to cancel if you should so choose?
-
yay! I got my 10% discount/2nd delay email! er, wait...
My inner cheapskate is happy, trying to work on my current machine that my wife broke the keyboard with a wine spill is bummed. New ETA is 3 May. -

Also just canceled my original order from 3/20 and ordered the quick ship, only difference for me is the 1 tb 5400 rpm hard drive. Should be at my house by Friday. -
For anyone fed up with the delays and considering this, I used the 15% off coupon hp offered after the first delay and insisted they take $75.00 off on top of that. Total after all is said and done $818.00.

Here we go again!
I just received a fourth email delay notice. Interestingly, the expected ship date is exactly the same as was shown in the last notice received 4 days ago.
So, 30 minutes on the phone to again confirm I still wanted the notebook. The only difference this time was that the rep suggested she could convert my order to a Quick Ship model that would ship tomorrow. BUT, the one offered happened to be 2 generations old (pre-sandy bridge). What a great offer! -

I ordered April 1st,
Estimated ship : April 18
1st delay : April 25
hope no delay more!! -
my HP official ship date is tomorrow, hopefully no problems.
If there is delay, should i get the quick-ship model? I can wait for few more months but i'm afraid i might regret it lol. Quick-ship model is only limited time right?

Alright guys, I'm looking at this on the quick ship list, is this a dv7tqe? How come the color is silver not umber (not an issue)? Also, since I'm dumb at graphics, how does the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6570 graphics (1024MB GDDR5, up to 3308MB total) match up to the current models we're looking at?
PS: I just received my delay email, I'm ready to cancel.
EDIT: I know this is the order status thread, but since we're on the topic of the quick ship, the model I referred to doesn't have the 3.0 USBs and 2 year warranty. Those two things are definitely holding me back. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO :'( -
-
The email offered a 10% discount. Ugh I think I'm gonna wait for the original. Two more weeks
-
There was a lot of talk in the owner's lounge about the two compaired. My eyes just glazed over while reading it. I would look there for a detailed answer.
-
I feel special for having a model today.
I did a full reformat to get rid of all the crapware. All you have to do is save the SwSetup folder on the c:/ drive. All the drivers you need will be in there if you want to reformat like me. -
I think we're gonna get one more delay. 05/02? -

"The revised estimated ship date for your order is 4/25/2011 or no later than 10 business days from the original estimated ship date. However, if we are able to complete your custom order prior to that date we will ship it out and you will receive a shipping notification e-mail."
Does that mean they must ship our laptops on 04/28?
btw, what does "vn" stand for in ur name? is it a country?Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
