Just wondering if anyone from Europe or using the Upgrade Centre in Europe has had any luck with them?
The status of my order is still 'COA Validated' even though I mailed a copy of my receipt and the email they send to their Netherlands office a few weeks ago. I also tried emailing them to query this but still havn't received a reply (been about 5 days now).
This just seemed a bit strange as people seem to get reponses within 24hours from the North America office. -
Yep, I'm in Europe too, and it's been at COA validated for about a month now.
-
Is anything supposed to happen after COA validated? I'm in US.
-
Well I'm guessing it changes to something about the proof of purchase being validated or something...
-
Hmm. Mayb i'll contact tech support and talk to them about POP validation.
-
-
When did you sign up for the Vista Upgrade? Like when did you place the order?
-
I ordered mine a week or so after the link went up. My status screen still displays:
Order Status : POP/COA validated
Shipping Date :
Carrier : Standard
AWB# : -
I'm not sure if my POP will ever get validated
. It's been a month since i've placed my order and i'm still on COA. Do you think I should call?
-
Gasp. My order status changed from POP validated to COA/POP validated! ...Which means....nothing.
But at least I know my order isn't really dead in the water. -
i just ordered my hp dv6000t to be shipped to me by next week, but i still have to go to the website and request the vista upgrade... i cant do this until i receive my computer, right?
-
Hmmm. A lot of em are changing. Maybe mine'll change tonight
-
I'm still stuck at COA. I emailed the europe lot a scanned copy of the receipt back on the 12th. Still no POP.
-
Well apparently they didn't get my confirmation page I printed out. Now I can't find it
hopefully there is anotherw ay to get it or else no Vista for me
-
o wow that sucks....
you could always download it online... but itll take forever... -
I emailed them to see if there was another way to get the confirmation page. Hopefully they reply to me soon. I want Vista
-
good luck! i hope it goes well.
-
I mailed out my receipt to HP 3 weeks ago, but it's still on "coa validated" stage... I'm in US.
btw, POP means "proof of purchase"? -
I just called them today and was told that it would ship on Feb. 15th. I sent of all of my info around mid december and have a current status of COA/POP validated. I hope it comes soon but I am not counting on it too much.
-
arghhh has anyone emailed them and got no response from them i've even tried phoning them but it dont work...
p.s im from the u.k -
Zoopzoop I've email with no response.
I placed my order on the 12th Jan. -
Hey, just wondering, does anybody has a Shipping Date when they check the status.
-
Did you scan and email or use snail mail? Scanning worked for me pretty quickly. -
-
-
OK I just need to send the receipt. Is the confirmation number the order number you can check your status with?
-
Just checked mine, and it's now showing as "POP/COA validated".
So there must be someone in the Europe Office doing something! -
I scanned and emailed mine in. Later that afternoon they emailed me and said they had received it and when I checked the site it had changed to POP/COA validated.....so scanning and emailing worked pretty fast for me.
-
Where can one buy an upgrade kit from HP if the laptop was bought like, before the eligible timeframe for the free upgrade?
-
brianstretch Notebook Virtuoso
I replied to their email, attaching a .jpg of my receipt... and they said they couldn't read it. So I tried again with a .pdf... and they said they couldn't read it. I gave up and snail mailed a printout of the email and my Best Buy rebate receipt. Idiots. I used my current-generation HP all-in-one to generate the image files directly.
-
I scanned the receipt that HP sent me, emailed it about a month ago and haven't heard anything...and it's still stuck at COA validated. -
yeah....I got confirmation that they received my POP later the same day I sent it. I scanned it with a canon MP780 and used the highest settings. It was .jpg.....maybe try scanning it again at a higher resolution setting?
EDIT: Mine was a CTO dv2000t so I didn't have a receipt.....I printed out a receipt from the HP website so I just scanned that and sent that in. -
I sent it as a PDF...I'll try again with a JPG.

I cannot for anything get this thing ordered. I placed my order online and then sent in my info as requested. Couple days later an email shot back saying my COA was invalid and to contact HP. I cantacted HP and after 30 minutes I get a phone number for Moduslink which I had already called and got nowhere. I've been trying every night for a week and a half now to get the order to go online which it won't. I called Moduslink again this morning after reading here that some had them help place an order over the phone. They refused to place the order over the phone (even though there's an option for that in thier phone menu) and would do nothing. She just kept saying that the COA numbers are reset after 24hrs. I responded "but mine isn't doing that" over and over. Of course she could do nothing and was worthless. Would not let me speak to a manager or anyone else, just referred me to the website to place an order. Getting the feeling she was going to hang up at any moment I went ahead and left my phone number for a supervisor to call me back. I don't expect to ever get that call. So, here I am without a way to order this Vista upgrade it seems. It shouldn't be this hard. I guess I can go talk to Best Buy but I doubt they can do anything about it. Very frustrating. Really not sure what to do with it. Call Moduslink back in a bit and talk to another rep....like that's going to work.

Tell them that you'll sue, that will wake them up.
-
Well good news everyone. I just went from COA varified to COA/POP varified.
Bad news is i'll be sending my laptop to HP. (Bloody Keyboard) Does anyone have a shipping date for Vista in their order? And does anyone else have the total price as $0.00?
-
all i did was email them and tell them that i had "sent" in my reciept, and they changed my status from just coa to pop/coa recieved or whatever
-
I don't have a ship date....and my price is $0.00 as well.
-
Today I checked back and got this:
Order Status : Coa Validated. Waiting for Proof of Purchase.
Shipping Date : TBD. Check back in 1-2 weeks
Carrier : Standard
Despite having sent in my POP twice now, they're still waiting on it! I've scanned and sent as JPG and PDF...to no avail. How did everyone else submit their POP? -
Hahahahaha.
Well, at least the drivers will be smoothed out by then. (/sarcasm?) -
My dispatch date is 30th March 2007!
I suppose it's better than anything, I wouldn't update straight away anyway. -
rder Status : Order awaiting shipment
Shipping Date : April 3 2007
Carrier : Standard
wow! finally...
is it supposed to be earlier than they claimed??? -
Ordered.
Not sure if it will work...have to wait and see. -
Zcott: i got exactly the same thing today. but why would they say 'check back in 1-2 weeks' if they hadn't got the proof of purchase?
surely they would say 'send proof of purchase' or either they wouldn't even care!!!!!!
at least they said something!!!!
we need someone from modus link to tell us what everything means! -
Yeah April 3rd for me
. Well I guess it's better then buying it, even tho the name is express upgrade. Atleast i'll have my RAM by then.
-
Pah, I have to still wait for POP even though I sent it on the 12th of Jan. So I emailed them again the other day, I now have an email saying,
"Dear customer,

I just ordered the express kit from their website but in the email it said this"
For your order to be fulfilled, you must submit (by mail, facsimile or scan and email) your receipt for the qualifying PC, together with the online confirmation number listed on this page, to the following address or facsimile number:
Did you all have to do this?
I bought a DV6000T on Jan 17. I entered in my COA and S/N number.
Just want to know if I need to send them anything to have my Upgrade express kit sent out even though I filled out the form they had here:
https://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/Vi...kd2diql))/GlobalLandingPage.aspx?oem=HP&Lang= -
Yes, you will have to e-mail/fax/snail mail to them the proof of purchase - receipt if you bought it from a retail store or the receipt(you can print these online) if you ordered from HP shopping along with the order number/email you received from Moduslink. -
so how much money out of pocket does it take to upgrade to the 64-bit version of vista?
HP link for ordering Windows Vista Upgrade kits now up
