Yup, mine departed Indianapolis early this evening and arrived in Portland, OR tonight, so hopefully between now and Monday morning it makes it's way two hours south to Eugene, OR for delivery. We'll see...
-
Mine is sitting right next to yours in Portland, OR. Waiting for it to make it three hours south to Roseburg, OR. I still have a delivery date of Monday before 12pm so I am hoping it will make it!!

Damn, mine must have been on the same transport as yours as the times were the same, but it didn't leave AK at 6 PM, it just stayed there. If my schedule was like yours, it would have gotten to me by Monday here at Ithaca, NY. -
Fedex should really update the status of the shipment a little more frequently, mine just jumped from Alaska to Tenesse. I hope I can get it by Tuesday. ^^

I'm hoping the "double scan" is actually once in Portland and once when it got to Eugene (2 hours south of Portland)...not just a rescan in Portland while it sits there
-
Just got mine! ^^
-
Mine is on the truck for delivery today by noon. Assuming it arrives at noon today, the answer (for me) to the question posed by this thread is: 6 days 10 hours 2 minutes, from the time the notification that my PC was shipped arrived by email until final delivery.
Not bad considering that my PC was part of a Million dollar HP shipment out of China that day (My estimate. FedEx claimed 951 packages as part of that shipment. If each contained a $1000 notebook, that's pretty close to a million dollars of product).
Can't complain because the deal was free 5-7 day shipping. But the initial indication from FedEx led me to believe that the PC would arrive in less than 3 days.
Looking forward to opening up some cardboard in a few hours! -
Yup, mine finally updated to Out For Delivery! Doesn't give a time as to when though. Hopefully before 2:30 when my fiance goes to work
And then I don't get home until 6:30 to play...oh well, at least it'll finally be here!
-
Mine's on the vehicle for delivery! Yay!
-
Fiance signed for mine today
*crosses fingers* no dead pixels no dead pixels no dead pixels...
-
Arrived at 10:25am.
She's a beaut! No dead pixels. I love the "new computer" smell!
Booting it up for the first time now. Will probably do a fresh install of Vista to clean out all the junk.
So far, so good! -
No dead pixels here either. ^^
-
No dead pixels here
-
Just got mine too! making the recovery DVDs has we speak!
-
Mine had the vista anytime upgrade dvd packaged.
-
Made my recovery dvd, copied the swsetup setup files to a external usb hard drive, and tested to make sure everything is functional. Now I'm going to do a fresh install of WinXP Pro SP2 by disabling the SATA the install 2GB of Crucial ram.
-
Got mine at 10:30am today. No dead pixel, so far so good. The hard drive is warming my wrist. It's not a good design. They should design to dissipate the heat to somewhere else instead of to the user's hand. Made restore copy. Lots of bloatware that I don't know who really needs them. I don't if I should install fresh XP or Vista now.
-
I missed pickup.
I'm out of town and I thought I'd be back in time, but I'm not. I guess I'll get it tommorow when I'm back home. Argh..it says it will get delivered on the 24th (tommorow) so I'll probably just get it then since it'll be too late to pick it up tonight when I get home.
-
Only three more hours left at work, then I get to go home and play...weeee. Also, the warm wrist pad is a feature - for those of us who keep our houses kind of cold, it comes with a built in hand warmer!
-
Are you joking about it being a feature or is there a way to disable it?
-
I was just being sarcastic. My current laptop puts the video card right under the WASD keys so anytime I play a first person shooter, my fingers get super warm from the video card heating the keyboard.
-
Say, who all got the maxed configs? If so, is it fast, does it look killer? I ordred my max config last Thursday. How long does it take total, from day of order to in your hands?
I already got my mini laser mouse and the courier bag yesterday.
Arrgh, the cruddy part of ordering one to be built! -
Arguably, I have maxed configs (as listed in my sig line). I wish I would have ordered the twelve-cell battery, though. It took nine days to get to me.
I absolutely love my new dv6000t. I mostly use it as a dvr with it's 200Gb capacity. -
I ordered mine October 29, Monday.. and It says that it estimates that it will ship on Nov. 7th.. I kept it pretty basic...

Just ordered my DV9500T, says it'll be done on Nov 13th, I'm hoping they take their time, and it gets here like the first of 2nd week of December, that way I don't have a box sitting around waiting to be opened LOL.
-
I bought my HP 6500t October 23rd-ish. It got here the 29th, but I wasn't around to sign for it so I got it the 29th. It was supposed to ship November 5th.
-
less than a week... did you expedite it?? was it custom built??? Lucky you if it was... I called HP to see if the factory works on weekends, and they said that they do in fact produce Sat. and Sunday.. I really hope mine goes out on Monday.. I would like to have it before I leave out of town on Friday morning!!!
-
Orderd a dv9500t tonight. Says ship date 12/7. Is HP shipping sooner then the date they state?
-
I believe they ship it as soon as it is built.
That's what they did with mine. It was scheduled to be shipped Decenber 4, but they actually shipped it early this week. -
For those who have ordered a custom notebook recently. What was your built by date? and what date did it ship and delivered date?
-
Ordered on 11/27. Estimated to ship on December 6.

Wow! I'm surprised your estimated date was for Dec 7 when mine is also the 7th and I ordered 11/28. What date did yours actually ship? I see it was in AK today Dec 4th, but I take it that it shipped earlier than the 4th?
I was hoping my notebook would have shipped by now and I would receive it by Friday, but it hasn't shipped yet.
I've noticed that most people have theirs ship earlier then the ship date, but doesn't look like mine is going to.
-
No, It was shipped in Shanghia sometime this morning, made it to Anchorage this afternoon.
It just left Anchorage here about 5 minutes ago! -
It seems like HP sends large shipments in bulk as they are built at the Shanghai manufacturing plant. I order my dv6500t on November 26th, estimated build date was December 5th, I checked my status religiously and discovered the following:
Yesterday:
9:14pm-In Transit from Shanghai
Yesterday:
10:14pm-Picked up from Shanghai (received after cutoff, but that didn't seem to cause a delay!)
Today:
11:34am-Arrived at Anchorage, AK Fed/Ex Hub
Today:
1:50pm-Departed Anchorage, AK Fed/Ex Hub
Estimated ship date is December 7th, but I suspect it will be received before then (Atlanta, GA). Even if we do receive it on the 7th, that will be much earlier than expected.
Excellent! It seems like a lot of our machines were on the same jumbo jet from Shanghai. -

Was hoping to have mine a couple days early as well, but looks like that won't be happening. Is there a delay with the dv9000s? Or maybe its just holiday demand. -
They are probably dealing with a larger than normal amount of orders because that 30% off coupon was floating around for so long
-

same here as a matter of fact. may still ship more quickly than 5-7 days though. still a possibility to get ours on friday, but i'm expecting it sometime next week. and yeah, i jumped on that 30% coupon too. i'd say after so many they'd give a higher completion date instead of telling a few hundred people Dec 6. I dunno. I'll just be pleasantly surprised when it shows up. and if it takes longer than the 6th to leave production i guess i'll just call them up and complain for some free stuff too

Sharpy1, checked a few minutes ago and it said my notebook had been shipped (a day early.... sort of) i'm assuming that yours is on the same plane
-
Did you get email stating it shipped or did you just check the order status online? I hope my notebook is in the same shipment. My ship date is Dec 7th.
---
UPDATE! Just checked my online order status and it shipped today! When I click on Fedex link, it doesn't show up in the system yet. Yes!!! Anyone think they could arrive by Saturday? Does it take longer to get to the West/East or Midwest area?
