Mines still in transit from Alaska. I'm on the east coast, so not sure where it will land next. I assume from alaska they split up the initial shipment for eastcoast/westcoast.
-
Likely the Newark Liberty International Airport, that's their eastern hub. Ok now time for bed

These are all the 15's, correct?
I can't wait until the 17's get here - I hate waiting for things!
-
Yeah I guess the only 17s that shipped where the preconfig ones.
-
No, mine has shipped, but it hasn't reached the states yet.
-
Nope. Many 17" have been shipping this morning. Mine's shipped but its not landed on US shores yet.
-
I'm looking forward for 15inch version. First, normal size, laptop with IPS, that's and achievement for industry (lol).

HP Europe now has the Envy 17 in stock.
UK only lists the base model.
Only model in Sweden, not inStock, is the ENVY 17 3d. (2 weeks).
Germany still only lists the 2xxx. -
There is four ENVY 17-3XXX models on the swedish HP site. Three of them is available for ordering.

Hey all, I have double-confirmed the 15 has the 7690m. It was in the production model I saw in the office, and is now confirmed by the product manager, who has sent me the specs. Here in Singapore we're not getting the 17, so I can't comment on that.
Apparently the 7000 series is "embargoed" at the moment, which is why it isn't yet being specified, though an older brochure showed the 6750m, and apparently the 7690m is the replacement. Is this consistent with what everyone had already worked out?
Sorry, I'm no expert, but I hope that is helpful. Sad to discover that we won't get the 17 here though...Attached Files:

Since you're from Singapore and work with HP, when is the approximate release date for the Envy 15 in Singapore? I may be traveling there for the holidays.
Also, has HP finalized the pricing of the Envy 15 in Singapore? I'm expecting it to increase by a few hundred dollars from prices in the States and possibly have lower specs.
I hope HP isn't as discriminating as Dell when it comes to international pricing. I was just comparing the prices of notebooks on the Dell website with the Dell Singapore website and boy were they hella expensive in Singapore. They were selling the XPS 15z for around $300 more in Singapore with exactly the same specs. This doesn't even take into account further savings with coupon codes, which are obviously not available in Singapore. -
Yup, i'm in the same boat. Im in Reno NV ... Oakland is literally about 3 hours away from me
-
No worries on this front, for sure. I've got the Envy 15-1100 with the 5830 and I play at native 1080p on high no trouble.
Given that many users have researched the performance difference between that and the 7690m, I think it's safe to say that there's a sizable step up. Also, I have a dual core i5 in this thing; the new 15 I've ordered has an i7 so I really can't see this being an issue.
I will be trying Crysis on full first thing once I get me mitts on it. Should be fun! -
Just got a reply to a mail I sent earlier today to the swedish HP customers service.
My first question was about when we'll see the 3010 model at retailers here in Sweden where he said that they will have it either sometime this week or the next.
The other question I had was about the Envy 15 availability. Sadly they won't release it on the swedish market. Instead they will get the new Envy 14 sometime in january.
I guess the information is valid for a lot of other european markets as well.
Edit: Maybe I should have pointed out that I meant other retailers than HP themselves if that wasn't clear...

That's the most efficient route for sorting and delivery by FedEx. They've been doing it for a long time so just let the clock tick. FedEx delivers.
-
Alot of us are anxiously biting at the bit for YOU guys to get these in too, the heck with tracking our own packages lol. We await your personal opinions and reviews before pulling the trigger ourselves

Woooh! Got to my town hours ago maybe it will go out for delivery and I will get my 15 early
-
If it's listed as 6750m, then I guess we should be expecting the same core as the 7690m XT but clocked at 600 MHz.
-
Good news: My 17" 3D Envy shipped early this morning. Finally!
Bad news: It won't get here till the 28th. The 28th?! Why did I even pay for 2 Day shipping?! Yes, there is a holiday in there (that lands on a weekend), so even if you add an extra day in there for shipping, that is still double the amount of time to ship it!
I want my shipping money back...
Well at least it shipped.
-
FedEx doesn't operate on the 26th and quite a few portions don't operate on the 27th either. So you might still getting 2 day shipping still. Check the FedEx Holiday Schedule on their website for more details.
-
Volunteer to work in the sorting center for a day..
-
I sure do wish they would allow some of these special configurations for the Envy line! I would love to have the option to upgrade the GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM and a couple of the other options as well!
-
Mine still hasn't shipped.
-
funny thing... I checked the tracking after work ( i work graveyard ) and it made it to Reno at 3:00am this morning, wondering If i'll get it today, the estimated delivery is still scheduled for the 22nd
-
So just to clarify... I have seen conflicting reports
Does the new 17" model come with an IPS Radiance screen? Or is it TFT?
And is the 17" 3D the same?
I know the 15" is reported to be IPS -
OH HELL YEAH. Getting my 15 today!

17" is not an IPS. 17" 3D is a 120 hz (while the non-3D panel is likely 60hz) panel and I don't know that anyone has more specs than that. So it's brighter but that's probably about it.
15" 1080p panel is supposed to be an IPS. -
Just checked HP Quick Ship laptops and the Envy 15 is now listed. It is out of stock at the moment, but it is actually a decent configuration.

Does this mean, I won't be getting it by Dec 23rd?....
How could it be stuck on a plane/ship for more than one full day in China? -
So the BIG question on many minds here is:
Who will do the FIRST Unboxing Video & Review??
"AutoEntropy", it may be you if you are able! -
Just a slight addition to that, I'm in Hong Kong and I've got an advertisement brochure from a reputable tech store chain, kinda like ummmm Best Buy? Not sure. But it looks like an official HP advert, and keep in mind this is the sort of chain brick and mortar stores that aren't really the sort of asian stereotyped cheap dodgy places >.>
It states that both the computer you're mentioning and the Envy 15 come with AMD Radeon HD 7690M XT graphics cards.
Models:
HP Pavilion dv6-6c00TX
HP ENVY 15-3002TX
Just something I thought you guys might wanna know... Is this just a simple error on the part of the document's author? (Most likely someone at HP China)
Does this mean anything for ENVY's globally if true? Or maybe it's just the regional thing... -
Damn.. not having IPS in the 17" may be a deal breaker then, and I will prob go with a 15".
configured one and its actually around the same price as a 17" then, but the IPS makes it the winner of the two. Screen size isnt as impt to me as viewing angles.
This will give the Samsung Series 7 15" some weight and put it back into play on my short list tho, since its the same screen size for the same price, and a matte screen. Now I have 3 Notebooks to pick from (Envy 15 IPS, Samsung S7 US03, or the Hp dv7t)

Mine is in San Jose right now (Envy 15). It's my wife's Christmas present however... so you'll have to be the one doing an unboxing LOL.
My 17 3D is still in Shanghai
-
I am down. I'll do an hd recording of it on my 7d and upload it. The problem is this is my first windows computer and I don't really know what to look for lol.
-
There are hardly any 17" IPS panels out there. The Samsung Series 7 has had a lot of reports about terrible screens, though it seems to me that it's advertised as having a good one.
-
@gameface
No one here has seen the Envy 15 screen I assume or the 17 1080P screen as well. WHo knows, maybe the 17 has a great screen regardless? I think it's too early to pass any judgment when no one has received their 1080P Envy's yet. -
See, then I should be thankful mine has shipped then. Ah well, now it's just more of the waiting game.
So neither of yours have shipped yet Aquitaine? -
I was in the same boat you're in now last summer and let me tell ya, after a lot of research, DELL lost my business! Their customer service is one of the WORST in the industry (Non-speaking native English, is one big problem)! But when you consider the Envy line has HP's "Concierge" Customer Service, which I can attest to as being one of the BEST, if not the BEST out there (maybe even equal to Apple), than Dell seriously falls short. Considering Dell's issues with their units and the likely hood that you will most assuredly be dealing with Dell CS at some point during your first year, well that seals the deal for me. HP got my business and it was one of the best decisions I have made in a long time!
The HP Envy line is HP's top tier Laptops and for good reason! I would recommend the Envy over the Dell and I'm sure you would be very happy with the unit, plus they have coupons for 30% off your total when you buy one of the Envy units prior to Dec 31st, how can you beat that (besides having a 33% off coupon, LOL)! Go ENVY! -
Mine's currently on the plane from china to U.S. So for unboxing/review video purposes, would the latest 17 3d be called a 3rd generation or 2nd generation laptop?
-
@gunny
Also hard to beat the sweet looks of the Envy and the analog volume dial... -

Neither my 15 nor my 17 have shipped. A bit ironic considering I got the email saying 'we can't cancel your order for your Envy 15 because it has already shipped' ... over a week ago!
-
It is 3rd generation Opera

Dell XPS laptops are pretty plain and ugly in my opinion (great hardware, I was considering one 6 months ago). I also saw a new XPS 15z in stores which looked decent online, in person I was disappointed with how ugly it really was, I hated the look of the very rounded keys it had on the keyboard.
-
Lololol
-
I've never seen a FedEx truck leave that late.
Lucky lucky. -

Also, give us your impressions of switching to a Windows machine. Would love to know your thoughts going from a Mac to a Windows laptop.
