What was your original estimated ship date?
-
So hopefully mine should ship tomorrow, since I ordered mine only a couple of hours later than you it seems.\
EDIT: And I'm pretty sure that everybody's estimated ship date was June 12th. (I know at least that mine is!) -
Already?? Wow that was really really quick. My other Envy that I need to cancel and ordered on May 26th is still in production...
-

Well this page: https://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/order_status_sign_in.do
Otherwise for FedEx tracking all you need to do is enter your order number (H122xxxxx) into this: https://www.fedexfreight.fedex.com/trackbyreference.jsp -
Well, at least I'll be on guard for when the send the extra AC adapter I got.
And there should be a link in the email HP sent you that says ">> My Order Status"
Click that and log in, and it should tell you. -
Hello all, I'm in a bit of dilemma here. I'm trying to decide whether to go with the new Envy 15 or the Dvt6 quad edition. I'm sure most of you are quite familiar with the Envy line. So I'm wondering how the these two pale in comparison pros and cons etc. Wish that Envy 15 came in midnight black like the DVT6. Really sharp!!! Thanks all in advance.

Oh god. Here it goes again. My new order got declined
-
My order on Sunday did as well without any clear reason. The order said to call HP. I called HP twice. The first time to get an RMA for me DV7T and attempt to get an exchange for the Envy. No luck. Apparently you cannot exchange laptops ordered through an HP Preferred Account. So I completed the RMA request and asked her why my order got cancelled. She said there wasn't any reason stated but it could be because I didn't have enough credit available on my Preferred Account. I didn't have access to my account right then, so I gave up. The second time, I told the rep my situation and he placed the order again on his end and it went through just fine. No idea what was wrong in the first place since all indications showed I had plenty of credit even with the DV7T still on my balance.
-
I just called and they told me that my shipping address was rejected. However the rep had copied and pasted my shipping address from a past order that is still in production (i.e: Approved!) .... I just don't get HP !
-
I'm currently in Australia but moving to America so I wanted to a) have a laptop get shipped out just after I arrived and b) use the 33% coupon.
Looks like I'll miss out on the coupon by the time I get there (14th of June) and I cant afford the $1600 rrp
Thanks HP -
Not to discourage you, but it took 9 orders (and Paypal won't work by experience) for my Envy 15t-3000 series to get approved. And now the rep had GUARANTEED that by cancelling my order and replacing it with the new 3200 series, my order would be approved.
HA. Big joke! I really hope the order will be "reinstated/reprocessed" like the rep at Sales and Support let me know. As of now the order still says "Declined" online... I wonder if it takes some time to update? -
The status on the envy I ordered yesterday is now "dropped to factory". I'm excited!
-
Is it possible to remove the cd drive on this laptop? I never use cds and it's just added weight.
-
Is this the exact same keyboard, build quality, screen and trackpad as the previous envy? Thinking of getting either this or the samsung series 7 17" because I prefer a 15 inch notebook
-
on another note ima get my warranty total care thing a week b4 the laptop lol...... its dropped at factory right now -
soooo i was doing some research on how much of a performance boost to expect from the 7750m compared to 6770m/7690m and this is how my math went:
the 7750m is clocked at 575 mhz and is an underclocked 7750 which is normally at 800 mhz (lets just ignore memory clocks shall we? they arent that diff anyway). so 575/800=0.71875.
according to THIS:
the gpu score of the desktop 7750 is 2367. 2367*0.71875=1701.28125
according to THIS
the gpu score of the 7690m is 1200. so (1701.28-1200)/1200= 41.77% increase!
Yeah ik my math might be flawed since the core clocks and performance might not be directly proportional but I think its safe to say ~35 to 45% increase!
With an OC, hopefully (prolly not)we can bring it up to desktop 7750 speeds and get almost a 100% increase. that would be amazing
. but still a decent overclock should put it around 50% increase in performance from previous gen. the 7850m should be even more, finally cards fit to be in premium machines
btw a that 3dmark11 score should put it right around the gtx 560m which is basically similar performance to gt 650m so the dv6 won't be too far ahead (if they actually are ahead...)
feel free to correct me if i was flawed somewhere
personal opinion, i think the 7750m will score higher than i predicted considering 100 mhz boost with the 7770m 3dmarkscore is 2110 -
I pulled the trigger on a Envy 15 with the 3610QM and 1080p radiance display. I've had a DV series laptop before and it's lasted over 4 years so far, but taken some series damage to the case, including both monitor hinges have to be jerry-rigged to get it to stay together. I'm hoping that paying ~$130 more than the DV6T for an Envy that has a 7750m instead of the 650m(which I think is better), no blu-ray and a monitor that struggles with red is worth it. I'm also hoping the orange/red issue isn't as glaring as some have suggested. Is the build quality of the Envy's significantly better than the current DV series? Would most of you agree that the above shortcomings + $130 more in price is worth going for the Envy? Thanks!
-
I don't get why HP didn't put the screen they used in the new DV6t Quad Editions into the Envy. From what I've read, that screen reproduces colors well, has good contrast, and has great viewing angles comparable to IPS.
-
Ok. If HP told me that they will reprocess my order, should I trust them? Or should I go ahead and create a new one? The status says Order Declined online, but two different reps assured me that it will be reprocessed.
-
HP rep told me that they will arrive by the 21st... That's a long time from now haha. I tried to change my delivery address but they told me the only way to do that is to cancel the order. I don't want to lose that coupon discount, does anybody know if that is still active?
-
If the order doesn't go through again, I'd suggest calling and having them place a new order.
My order has gone from Processing to Accepted to "dropped off to factory" (whatever that means) in the last 24 hours. -
I'm just hoping that manufacturing doesn't take long. I want mine to ship early. =D -
-
-
After I got off the phone, I checked my HP account. It had more than enough to cover the new order and my previous one. So I called again. -
How much did everyone ordered it for? specs?
looking for like best coupons for best deals...
when can i expect the old model price to drop? :/ it hasn't yet... -
-
I guess I'm some kind of criminal. HP declined my reprocessing and any further orders (so it seems) by a decision from their head office :O . These people make no sense. All I wanted was to exchange my order in progress with the newer processor. How can one be approved and the other denied by head office beats me! ?
-
I'm lookng at 32xx
i7-3610QM Processor (2.3 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache), 6GB, 750GB and 1080p... which would cost me about 1,600$ no coupons... looks like the 33% off has expired(
-
Also, something strange happened when I was putting in the 33% off coupon. When I logged in with my hp account, the coupon was invalid. I opened up an incognito window and tried it without logging in and it worked, so I just created a new account. I think it's a glitch with their servers. -
I ordered the exact same thing, 3610qm, 1080p radiance for 1071 + tax = ~$1154. Fatwallet has 5% cashback so I have ~$50 coming from that assuming they honor it. Didn't know about the $75 coupon though. oh well...
-
-
-
-
Oh wow so I logged out student account now coupon works 1071+ tax is really great I think I'm gonna get it... hmm fat wallet? how does that wrk I'll have to check it out..
do you guys think it will get any lower than this any time soon? back to school sale maybe? -
-
Ordered with the 2.6ghz quad core and 1080p radiance display. I was torn between this and the new MBPs coming out.
This isn't due to be shipped out til the 16th, so if I like the new MBPs, then Ill just cancel this order.
For 1270 after taxes (with maybe $60 back in Discover Cashback), then the macs will have to do something really great for me to spend an extra $600. -
WOOOOO!!!!!
My order status now says "Order in production"!
Assembling a laptop can't take that long, can it? I mean, the process is most likely mostly automated, because robots are awesome. *hopeful look* -
After reading all 84 pages in this thread and numerous other threads I decided to create an account and become part of the community. Placed an order last night with the 33% coupon, good thing I did because I'm hearing its expired (must have hit the 900 order limit).
Envy15
• Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
• 3rd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3720QM Processor (2.6 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache)
• 1GB Radeon(TM) HD 7750M GDDR5 Graphics [HDMI, VGA]
• 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• 256GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module)
• 15.6-inch diagonal Radiance Full HD Infinity LED-backlit Display (1920 x 1080)
• SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
• 720p HD video streaming webcam supports Skype
• Intel 2x2 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN + Bluetooth(R)
May have overdone it with the 16GB of RAM, and was tempted to go 12GB RAM and then i7-3820QM to get that 8MB L3 Cache.
If the screen issue drives me crazy I'll consider swapping it for a comparably spec'd HP Envy 17... One quick question, does anyone know first-hand or off-hand the comparison between the Envy 17 and Envy 17 3D display? I know the 3D is 120hz, but other than that is there a quality, color gamut, sharpness difference?
Only other laptop I considered was the Upcoming Dell XPS 15 L251X which should sport a very similar design to this and MBP and most likely a high quality screen (without the red orange issue). I've had two Dell's before this and I got fed up with the build quality of Dell (I am replacing a Studio XPS 1640 which is a beautiful laptop with the best TN screen I've ever witnessed using RGBLED but it is saddled by massive throttling issues due to overheating and cooling design flaws). -
-
Intel 2x2 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN + Bluetooth(R)
What Intel card is that?
And I really hope the keyboard doesn't suck as much as the previous models. Still trying to find the Envy 15 at a local store but no one carries them. -
-
-
Wow, that's one very powerful laptop there ziled!!
I just ordered mine myselfonly change default to i7, and changed to 1080p.
Total of everything was $1,157... It says estimated shipping June 14? Man such a long time, I can't wait!! -
Hey , a little help here please. Normally HP won't let you stack any coupon codes. I see you guys are talking about an additional $75 off. Did I miss something? Is this true? I just tried the 33% coupon & it still works -- can you add an extra $75 somehow? -
When I changed it to i7 + 1080p it was about $1300
EDIT: I just flipped back a page before this, guess I had to sign out of my student hp account first for the coupon to work. weird lol -
