Really the gpu benchmarks made it seem so much different. Still anyone knoww if changing or making custom rez for the radeon gpu is possible? I know my dv6 didn't have any other 16:9 rezs by default, but you could make a custom one with the Intel control panel, and it would transfer to the Nvidia one.

My order status page now shows that it has shipped. It gives me a tracking # but it is not in Fed Ex's system yet. I ordered late in the day on the 6th.

I cannot believe I messed this up:
As mentioned earlier, I was planning to swap my hard-drive with SSD and in the process, was little confused and decided to try it later.
There are 6 screws on the back panel that need to be removed. Not a problem first time, trying to take it out and put them back in. Second time, when I wanted to install SSD, one screw would not un-screw at all. I followed the same procedure, used the same micro philips scew-driver but it would not unscrew. In the process, the screw is stripped and there are no threads but only a small hole which further complicated the matter.
I have tried new screw drivers, glue and rubber-band technique but nothing works. I definitely don't want to return this laptop. Thinking on calling HP technical support and let them know about the stripped screw (obviously I won't tell them the whole story other than that I was planning on swapping my hard drive with SSD and cannot get one screw out). They may ask me to send it to the repair center so that they can get that screw out and put a new one.
Just thought I would vent my frustation here (after trying for 3 days).
Folks, be careful, take it slow and use the correct screw driver. -

Jeez, it still hasn't left Shanghaii. Does two day shipping still take five days? The rep told me they would upgrade me when my laptop shipped since it got delayed, but I'm not really sure if that's the case. Either way it's this will be the 3rd day it's been sitting over there, so hopefully they'll ship it out sometime soon...

-
Just got the an e-mail saying my laptop is ready to be shipped!
-
-
EDIT: Alright then, so I guess the rep did lie. Standard shipping it is then. -
-
-
Its very small hole now, essentially no thread at all. I am afraid if I apply any more pressure to create a groove, it would damage the laptop.
-
yayyyyyyyy mine shipped!~~~~~
it says my shipping method is 5-7 days so ya reps lied about shipping but like the guy said abouve, im just happy it shipped. Estimated delivery Jun 22, 2012 by 4:30 PM
and last activity -
I think I'm the only early order still outstanding...
At least I hope it means they're taking extra care with it, like polishing it with microfiber cloths and the like... (one can dream!!)... -
-
I am curious as to what happened with yours with the whole 1600vs1333 RAM issue, and other older parts you ordered. Let us know what you ended up getting.
And I'm used to stuff I order being later (always happens, just my luck) -
Mine shipped too...
D finally... :/
The supervisor told me upgrade to 2day shipping is impossible because she'd have to change the order and that can't be done. I think she may be right an you guys were lied to :/...
Patiently awaits from China to Ohio... -

1) check for cosmetic flaws/build qc issues
2) go through initial setup
3) verify all ports/dvd are working
4) check up on the memory issue and lcd panel (check the orangegate situation)
5) Clean install windows + drivers etc.
6) Benchmarks
7) OC and then more benchmarks
8) enjoy my laptop -
-
haha same plan heredon't think i'll OC yet though.... will when the time is necessary
-
. How are gaming benchmarks? If I can play my games fluidly enough I won't keep it OC'ed. I just wanna c how far I can push it
-
And what program do you plan on using for overclocking? Unfortunately the only one I know of, Afterburner, (Though I am sure there are a lot of overclock utilities I do not know about) has the max clock of the 7750m at the same level as its max clock, effectively only allowing you to uncerclock. -
-
trixx OC'ed my desktop card from 850/1200 to 1015/1300 and its pretty stable. I think after a couple dozen hours of gaming and benchmarks crysis 2 crashed once. -
Oh, I'm a 6/3 too. Guess we're the last 6/3-ers.
And I have the 1600Mhz RAM along with the hybrid, but other people here have had their hybrids shipped as well as the RAM. Just bad luck... -
soo unboxing video? or is that overly done
. I will take a screen comparision pic but anything else u guys wanna request (who are still waiting)
