so they are actually shipping, thats good to know.

 

I'm getting really worried. My shipment got delayed twice and I received the second delay email Wednesday the 19th. I forgot to respond until the 23rd saying that it was OK to ship it.
heres what the email said

Does anyone think i sent it in time, because they haven't emailed back of that they received it and it hasn't shipped.
Its supposed to ship today

 

Obviously not since they are required by law to cancel it after 3 days. I'd call them asap and see what you can do.
Not to make matters worse, if you don't mind me asking why didn't you respond yes after you read the email the first time?

 

I actually didn't notice it for a while, because it was under another email from hp. Usually it said HP direct but his one said ctso-esc. I didn't notice until Saturday, and i didn't send it until Sunday. i didn't think business days included the day they sent it on. I just added 3 days which would have been Saturday the 22nd, but it seems that is not the case.

 

Call them right now and ask for a supervisor. The direct resolutions # was post on one of these threads today or yesterday. I wouldn't hesitate. Don't take no for an answer if they bs you.

 

You and I are on the exact same order cycle. Ordered 2nd, delayed twice, est ship was today and has come and gone with no update (yet).

I called earlier this afternoon and was told they were waiting on the Brightview displays, but I'm pretty sure they were just trying to get me off the phone. The second person I talked to said the computer probably wouldn't ship today and call back when I get an update email (by 10pm est).

Starting to get a little irritated...

My representative said that the notification about shipping would be sent out tomorrow. If it doesn't ship tomorrow, I better be getting a free ssd Because a one month wait is just unacceptable.

Sadly Feb 1, even though its supposed to be 3 day shipping. It says the standard 5-7 day shipping for me.

Woops didn't mean to delete my post. It originally stated that there were weather delays and my fedex ship date is the 28th.

 

Mine too. I ordered this laptop on the 2nd of Jan. And it takes a month for me to receive it. This is the longest waiting I ever have in my life. The funny part is they give 15% discount on the first delay and has an expiration date of 1/31/11. Wow... USELESS>>>>........

 

is it a unique discount code? Just sell it on ebay..

 

Min shipped today as well. Ordered Jan 15th 4 PM PST. Estimated delivery Feb 1st.

I actually want to know more about this Radiance Display. Can anyone give me some information of it? I didnt get one because it was not available that time. I think the reason why the Radiance is available is because they runout of the brightview display. This sucks

 

It's one of the best laptop screens on a laptop today in terms of brightness, color gamut, resolution, etc.. The resolution is 1600x900 compared to the bright view's 1344x768. unfortunately they gave not run out of brightview displays. They ran out of radiance in sept 2010 and just recently were available again for a few days after which the option was again taken away. Rumor is the radiance manufacturer went out of business which lead to no radiance displays available in sept.

 

Well it looks as though i may get my package tomorrow (a day earlier) since it arrived in alaska on time. This is the same exact time schedule as my last order which arrived one day before the scheduled fedex delivery date. Lets just hope this snow doesn't effect my shipment time.

I love how here in the south fedex would delay a flight because of 1 inch of snow but still fly into an airport in say new york with 3 feet. ha

 

Do you think I can get my laptop by the end of the week? The status says the package was picked up after FedEx cutoff, and it's current status s shanghai CN. The estimated time is on Feb. 1st. Again, I ordered this on the 2nd of Jan. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

 

I too ordered the same day.

I spoke to a rep this morning and he said that once it gets to Alaska, it will be express shipping and it should arrive in 2 business days. You might get it Saturday

 

The only reason I expect to get mine early is because I live an hour from the memphis hub and last time it arrived there the same day as it arrived in alaska.

Your package will ship from china around 430 am (central) and hit alaska 13 hours later. It won't leave alaska till 7: 00 that evening. Then it just depends on your location whether or not you get it the next morning

This is the schedule you can expect especially until it departs alaska. this is from from first order in nov but the times are within mins apart from my current order. This central time. I set it at "destination" so all the times you see are central time not the time it is at the place the package is. I figured this may help some people.

Mine just shipped. Build date was February 2, a week ahead of schedule.

 

HP may be confusing build date with receiving date ? I had the same with both my orders.

 

They do it so when it ships a week early you are surprised and happy with hp and when there are parts delays they don't make you mad by delaying you build date. It works in their favor on both ends.

 

its also because of all the cancelled orders..it pushed ahead the rest of the orders since theres 400 less orders to make

 

even the reps will tell you they usually ship about a week early.

This is the most currrent update. I am in OH, dont know if this will get to me by Friday. HP should really really just compensate the customer by providing free overnight shipping method. It probably wont cost too much for them, however, it is a lot different to customers. I dont know if i want to get another HP in the future. Also, the representatives that I talked to are very bad. They sound like they dont care. And it is nothing. They dont understand one thing, losing one customer is not equivalent to just losing one customer, the reputation will be damaged and people will telling their friends to avoid HP. I think HP should really evaluate the efficiency of their customer service. POOR ATTITUTE, POOR MANNER, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

 

The thing is Sat is not a business day. So, it will most likely the expected date which is on Monday or Tuesday. This laptop has gave me so much trouble. Should have just buy either Mac or Alienware... At least the customer service of Dell is pretty nice. They want to keep the customer, unlike HP, they DONT CARE

 

I believe fedex delivers on Saturdays

 

I know they have sat shipping but i'm not sure it is included in 2nd day

 

I received a package last Saturday, it was 3 or 2 day shipping by Fedex, they came extremely early like 6:00 am or so

 

I surely will be glad to receive my laptop on Sat. However, I doubt this will happen.

 

Fedex only deliver express / 2 days packages on saturday.

anyone that used the free shipping (5-7 days) will not be delivered on saturday.

I dont think we can receive our laptop this week. Since we are choosing the standard free shipping method. Good for you that you have radiance infinity? Do you have the 500 discount on your laptop?

My friend's laptop arrived today with a Radiance screen and he ordered late afternoon central time on January 15th. I wonder why he got his so quickly? I actually ordered one before him, but I cancelled it because I selected the wrong processor (an I7). I reordered it early on the 16th with an I5 processor and I haven't gotten a shipping email yet ;p.

 

Will fedex deliver on sunday with standard shipping?

Mine came today (Friday) at 3:00 PM. I started a new thread for those who ordered Radiance, didn't get canceled, received delivery, and are still in HP Hell! Mine came with a defective Radiance screen - blue streaks in several places! First four calls (all to different numbers I've collected over time) were dead ends: "we have no more radiance screeens; if yours is defective, you're out of luck, blah, blah, BS, BS, etc."

Long story short: got to the right person, "Customer Relations Manager," who assured me that they have enough radiance screens in inventory to cover five years worth of warranty claims (both company policy and law), and to rest assured that I can send mine back tomorrow and should get it back with a new screen in 5-10 days.

Talk about a day of mood swings!

They have already shipped your order ahead of the estimated build date. Just relax and be happy that you were one of the lucky ones that did not receive a cancellation.

 

Dude, I had my laptop ordered on Jan. 2. And they delayed me 2 times. WHERE DID YOU SEE THAT THEY SEND ME THE COMPUTER AHEAD OF BUILD DATE? BESIDES, MINE IS NOT WITH RADIANCE DISPLAY. The expected date to ship my computer is on the 25th(After 2 delays!). But, until now, it is still in CHINA. They need to provide express shipping method. Waiting for a month to receive the laptop is insane! TELL ME IF YOU WERE ME, HOW CAN YOU BE HAPPY?

What do you mean by big HP fan? I have 3 HP laptops. 1 is the envy beats 15 with the top configuration. It is just this time, HP is doing so bad to satisfy their customers. Delaying over 3 weeks, and now, still in CHINA. sitting in china for 2 days already. Tell me what are they thinking?

 

mine was also , but it started to move again, it should be in Anchorage today.
Fedex probably waited for a plane to fill.
It should be here in 3 days ... so that would be monday if weather is cooperating.

 

I think if you choose the standard shipping, then you probably need to wait till Tuesday. Of course, I wish both of us can receive this by Monday. It is really pain in the butt to wait for this laptop to arrive.

 

The time doesnt really bother me. We didnt have to pay for shipping
.The anguish over having a defective one is the most annoying.
