oo, well...that $115 is for the bing cashback case, and the $10 was for a coupon that i had but forgot to use it. I still have the $45 for the price drop of the processor, and the $50 for pricematching on cdw.com....i called in about that a few days ago, and they said that they do not give those credits back until we get the computer or some BS like that. But they do have it on file, and they also told me that the supervisor looks at them too =/ so idk if they will give it to us, but the DO record our calls (unless you tell them not to) so we have proof that they did agree to credit us.

Just ordered. 30% BCB was the deciding factor, over buying an Asus. I was hoping to keep this at or around $1k and BCB got me well under that. As long as my 7 year old Dell can hold out another month for delivery.

 

is BCB with tax included? Because that makes a big difference...

Most likely since BML pays HP the full amount upfront then bills you... later. Bing is based on the price paid. You could have had a promotional program on a CC and they wouldn't know since the CC pays HP upfront the full amount of the sale.

I just hope bing won't go bat in a months with a mail like "Hurrhurr derpderp envy 14 was not eligible for bcb in the elegible product list we never disclosed derpderp so no kushbuck for you."

How long do you guys think this 30% BCB will last. It makes me want to pull the trigger, but I really wanted to see a thorough review of the laptop first. Is there a way to save the laptop setup with the 30% BCB on Hp's site?

 

BTW, Discover has a 5% HP cashback. Will this work with Bing?

 

Just ordered 2 thanks to the 30% BCB, one for the wife and one for me.

 

I suspect this won't be the last time BCB will be at 20%+ for HP before the program shuts down. As for 30%, I believe it's pretty rare to be offered that high in the BCB history.

These discounts usually only last a day or two, three or four at best. You won't even see this discount at HP, you will in your bing.com/cashback account though. There is no way to save it. Although I do believe it is valid for 24 hours after you click the link through Bing's cashback site, but its invalid after that or if they discontinue the discount.

Bottom line is act on it today otherwise it may be gone forever.

Huh? You are wrong. You can pay using any method you want. You just can't use a coupon or have any other applied discount at the HP Store. If your credit card gives you perks or discounts or anything directly through them, it's fine.

Well I just bit the bullet and re-ordered. This kinda sucks seeing as I'm out almost 2500$ until I can return the first laptop. However I cant say how happy I am to be getting a SSD after not ordering one with the first Envy. I'll probably play around with my Envy for a few days befor I return it. Its just so hard to turn up a 120$ discount compaired to a 480$.

yes, log in to the discovercard website and look for the ShopDiscover link. browse all stores, look for HP, click that link (should open a new window), open a separate window and open the BCB link. worked for me when i ordered the dm4.

 

i got offered the max of $200 that they can give as a discount, she said if she could she would give me the 30% off plus my student discount but that they have rules that wont let them (it was a supervisor)

also only the supervisors at the resolution center have the power to give more than $100

 

has anyone ever seen an HP credit invalidate a BCB? Not a coupon, but a credit.

well, the only place i used bing cashback was on ebay like 4 months ago. on their disclaimer they said that it HAS to be paypal. i guesss the rule applies to ebay only.

 

Guys, I've got a quick question. I'm moving into my apartment in about 3 weeks. Will that be too short of a time frame to order? If so, is it possible to have notebook shipped to a UPS facility for pickup from HP????????

well i ordered with the 160SSD, I probably won't need above 100GB since I don't game anymore beyond simple flash games. I probably only need like 40GB for music + 20gb for programs + 30GB for .PSD and random files. Well at least thats what I am telling myself so I sleep better at night lol.

Envy 17s have been delayed as well. HP hasn't even given me a delay notice yet. My 17 was supposed to shop on the 9th. No update on it whatsoever. No word on what parts are back ordered.

 

After cancelling a second order, I decided to reorder using a different account. (can't be too safe, didn't want three pending HP cashbacks)

My second order I did not use cashback from any other source, don't want to mess around with $499.50 cashback from bing.com

My second Envy 14 has the i5-450m, 160GB SSD and 8GB of RAM. So the only difference between my two orders is the 8GB of RAM, but they come out to the same price. (if HP credits me properly)

I will most likely return my second one if I'm credited properly, as I won't have to wait on bing.com and 8GB of RAM isn't too much of a bonus in the scheme of things.

ok i ordered with the bing cashback but also on top of that have got $39 credited back for free 2 day and also another $100 for not canceling to use the paypal quick cashback, does anybody know if those discounts will void the cashback? I emailed bing about it awaiting a response, if they do void it im going to be pretty pissed.
