They will know, as HP told me they send the final invoice after any credits to Microsoft.
Now if they will invalidate the bing.com cashback who knows, but I'd imagine at the very least you would get less money back.
bing.com cashback is too massive to muck around with IMO.

I've been following this thread for the past week or so and I finally decided to register since I've just purchased my Envy 14! Thank goodness this thread alerted be about the BCB.
I got the i5-450, 4 GIG (1dimm), 160 GIG SSD, and everything else stock.
I also got an extra AC adapter, the sleeve, and the 3 year accident protection plan (for college haha)
Total Cost- $2115.57
Cost after BCB- $1522.41
=D -
I called HP and received a $150 credit on my envy 14. I took it because I ordered with an employee discount. For me it was about a $50 discount to send my already shipped laptop back and reorder with the 30% Bing cashback. It wasn't worth waiting another month to get my laptop and then wait another month to get the 30% back. Although, if I would have received 30% from the start I would have loaded it up with extras. I hit up sales through online chat. They told me to call 1-888-227-8451.

The potential problem is that UPS holds it only up to 5 days and estimated build date is July 22nd. I'm actually strangely enough hoping they take don't ship it out until early August.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 29, 2015 -
Soooo...has anyone already gotten e-mail confirmation from Bing? I know I'm paranoid and all, but I'm definitely starting the 48-hour ticker right now!

You will need to create a Microsoft 'live' account if you don't have one (free and easy). Otherwise log in with your live account.
Once account is created, go back to bing.com in the same browser window, it should show your name "Hi, Mark" or whatever in the upper right. Search the bing search bar for "hp laptops".
This will bring up a search results page. At the top you'll see advertisements, one will say hpshopping.com with the bing chasback logo. Click the bing cashback link there.
This will bring up a window where you will log in with your live id that you just created or logged in with at bing. Go through the ordering process at HP. Nothing will show up at HP. Once you place your order you will receive a confirmation email shortly after placing your order.
Go to bing.com/cashback and log in there with your live id you used to place the order. Click on "cashback account" on top of page (a little to right) and it should show you your pending amount of cash back.
Good luck! -
Reordered my Envy 14 with 6gb RAM this time and still $120 less with the 30% <333333333333333333333333 BCB

Canceled my order from last night and reordered to get the 30%. Forgot to order the warranty with it though, doh. Do you think it would update the BCB if I called in and had it added to the order?
-
Im getting ready to place my order..
One thing I want to ask before I order, is the warranty or "care pack" worth it? anyone getting it? I'm thinking of getting the 2 year accidental damage one. Pretty much get it for free with the bing cashback. -
im on line with them right now, they are saying BCB is a microsoft thing and they cant / wont price match it or compensate me
-
if only you could get more than $200 cash back with this 30% BCB
-

So I'm still new to this whole BCB thing and I was wondering if anyone has tried getting the BCB discount on a HP academic account. I will not be taking the 10% student discount. Will I get the cash back this way? Also, can I use CC to order? And when do you guys think the BCB 30% discount will be over? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to straighten some things out.

they're refusing to give me even 10%
"it's already shipped, you're SOL"

Hah...finally got my delay notice.
Ordered the 29th, original ship date was the 9th.
Revised ship date is the 23rd.
Seriously HP? 2 weeks? Boo. -

Should arrive on Friday just like many others. -
-
Well, I just called back seeing if I could get more than $90 and the supervisor offered me $200 back
$1100 total - $200 back from HP - $52 back from discover = 848 total. I cant wait for the laptop to come. -
Never mind. Got the confirmation from my @live.com e-mail.
-
So, just my subjective impression that it fully fits my needs and I didnt have had to worry about battery life yet.. -
-
-
If not, call them up and say that you didn't know at the time that there existed a student discount and if you don't get the discount you are going to return the laptop. Remember to be mean
Just tell them that you go to some Canadian university -

called hp (HP resolution center which is strictly supervisors so they are credible) about how the discount they give out will affect bing cashback, and she assured me that the $139 that i have got credited back will not affect or void bing cashback so i don't have to worry. So if i do loose my cashback i have some grounds to argue with hp about it. still a little worried but feel much more confident.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-450M Dual Core processor (2.40GHz, 3MB L3 Cache)with Turbo Boost up to 2.66 GHz
4GB DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm)
160GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module
Grand total $1,690.42 - $461 Cashback - $139 Credited back = $1090 not bad for it coming with a SSD -
-
I asked a CSR and she told me the 30% BCB will end on Wednesday. I'm not sure how she knows that or if it's even remotely true but just thought I'd give you guys the heads up.

SHAATT! They're not using UPS! They're using Fedex!
I might have to pay someone at my current address to ship it over! NOT slick at all!!!
Time to cancel... -
