alright im on the phone with them, they said since my order is over 1000 they can offer me 100 to save me the hassle

i'm taking it, i cant even get BCB in canada

I'm from Canada but I had my brother in-law order me the DV6TSE and the Envy14. He ordered it about a 1.5 weeks back and used $300 coupon for the DV6TSE and none for the Envy14. Both laptops were on one order. He just recently got an email from Bing stating that he is not getting any cash back because a coupon was used on the order.

He's planning on calling Bing (Microsoft) and asking them to honor the 5% cashback for the Envy14 since no coupons were used for it.

My question is, has anyone ever called Bing and successfully got them to honor a previous cashback deal or even better yet....honor the most recent one, which would be the 30% ????????

 

Called earlier and got the $100 refund. But now i'm seeing that people are getting up to $200 back so I am calling back again to push for the $200. I used the 888 227 8451 to call the 2nd time.

 

For anyone with Bing Cashback Questions:

Do I need to know anything specific about shopping with HP?
Yes, customer should note the following when shopping with HP

-The cashback percentage offered will apply to your entire order, before taxes and shipping costs.
-Entering a coupon code at the payment page will void your cashback. Also, beginning 10/2009, the Friends & Family program, HP Academy program, and the Employee Purchase Program can no longer be combined with cashback.

So.. I called and tried to price match the Bing CB. The lady told me Bing CB was at 5% right now but for the inconvenience she would take 100$ off. In all I could save another 120 bucks by canceling and reordering, But I rather have my Envy a week earlier. My final was still 1000$ for near base config... damn NY taxes.

Persistence pays off!! So now i'm getting $200 back in a refund, that plus my original EPP discount of 10% means that BCB would only be a couple more dollars and I can live with that. Very happy now, can't wait for my E14 to arrive later this week (currently shipping date is 7/15)!!!

Ok I just want to clarify. I went to bing.com, typed hp direct logged in. Then I bought my laptop. I shouldn't have seen anything about BCB besides in the very beginning correct? Just want to make sure!

As they have said in the official thread: HP won't give you any money back for the full 30% BCB alone. They offered $50, I asked for $100, and they said OK. This was mentioned in the other thread, but just thought I'd put it here for reference.

Alright, got off the phone. Two HP CSRs in a row gave me the same response. If I decide to alter my delivery address, they can have it shipped to the nearest FedEx location even though it's not shipping via FedEx Express. I'm guessing HP has some kind of special relationship with FedEx.

Here's to hoping things pan out well and that HP is successful in changing my delivery address in 3 weeks!!!!!!



BTW...I will admit this BCB promotion was kind of a fluke. Most of us were doubting it would reappear and were hoping for a coupon. Nice to know the waiting paid off.

Well I will give my experience.
I just called HP and after burning through several managers, also got a price-match with regards to bing cashback.
So if you got 1 to 1h30 to spare, and don't listen to anything the first salesperson tell you, it's doable.

EDIT: I called the number they give you if you want to cancel your order, the 18889178089.
And remember to aim higher than what you want to get. I gave them the discout I wanted to have, and settled for 50$ less.

Does anyone know if the person who ordered the computer (as in it's their credit card) have to call in to try and get price matching/discounts?

I only ask this as my girlfriend ordered an ENVY 14 (with my help), and so it is her info on the order. She won't take the time to call in to get discounts/price adjustments, and so I would like to do it for her. Do they ask for a social security number or anything? Other than that I should have access to most of her info.

For those curious. Bing Cash Back applies to pretax amount. Also note I received my email within 5 minutes of ordering confirming my cashback amount.



For those of you who used BCB. Are you going to risk and try to call HP and talk them down more? 1) Can they even tell you used BCB. If not, couldn't I just call and say I forgot to use my academic discount and then instead of Bing finding out i used my academic I can just have a 100$ credit given to me by HP.

 

I called in place of the the actual credit card holder. For me, they asked for the billing address, shipping address, and email of the person. All the information should be on the confirmation email. Just ask her to forward it to you, and ask for the right e-mail.

I use paypal. They told me it would take 3 to 5 banking days for the money to be sent back into the account, and gave me 2 confirmation numbers.

The Bing cashback redirect tells you that "your purchases on eligible products during this visit to HP Home and Home Office Store will earn you 30% cashback." Once you place the order though there seems no indication that Envy 14 is an "eligible product." How would one know that the 30% cashback discount applies to Envy 14 and will be honored by Bing?

 

I got my shipping notice this morning. Ordered on 6/27:
Envy 14 - i5 (520), 500gb (7200), both batteries, 1 stick 4gb. Called HP, b/c was told that all delays from the 27th would get priority shipping (2 day). My shipping was listed at 4-5 days. Complained about the delay to rep. Was given $80 direct credit against my purchase. Also, I had reconfigured the same computer this morning on the HP site and found that it was $22 cheaper. I mentioned this as well, and the rep added this to my credit. So, $102 bucks for a 10 minute phone call.

 

You get a notification e-mail. I got mine before my HP order confirmation.

 

Does anyone know how long BCB will be at 30%?

 

Hey if i order an envy 14, can it be picked up in USA? Say picked up at Buffalo?
