Yes. The original call I made they did NOT give me a case #. When I called back to confirm they said there was no record of the call. Definitely call back and get a case #.

Anyone notice the $330 limit on the BCB 30% on HP laptops (see picture)?
I see people reporting BCB much higher than this limit... is it actually being recorded at the larger amount in your BCB accounts?

For those of you who used BCB. Are you going to risk and try to call HP and talk them down more?

1) Can they even tell you used BCB. If not, couldn't I just call and say I forgot to use my academic discount and then instead of Bing finding out i used my academic I can just have a 100$ credit given to me by HP.

 

I already received my bing cashback email (took about 20 minutes after order) and have a $345 pending amount on my account.

If there's a delay, that's no problemo. But academic credit's kind of pushing it and I'd rather ease my conscience by not abusing it.

so far i have got $467 from bing cashback, + $200 for wanting to cancel order so i can use quick cashback, free 2 day shipping credited back that promised it to me when i canceled my first order before bing, and the amazon price match which i could have got more but you get maxed out at $200 total. i also got the $25 coupon for the delay, bought $20 mouse that the supervisor said she will just mark as returned so i dont have to send it back so its a gift from HP. So in total my money saving efforts have saved me $712, i think a job well done for buying a $1690 laptop that has the 160GB SSD.

 

What's the part number? If it's a strict % or $ off with no coupon it would also be eligible for 30% Bing Cashback. That would make it an $84 option. Not bad at all.

No, it's all advertising dollars. I'm sure they run the promotion based on number of advertising dollars they have for it, or have an expected amount they plan on spending over x number of days/hours.

 

I called and talked to a supervisor to make sure that the $200 credited back would not void my bing and she assured me, so i have something to fall back on if they screw me over and it does void it.

I got the "order being processed" email from HP indicating they will e-mail me a status update within one business day. Is that standard, or did you all get invoice type emails from HP in a quicker fashion? Just trying to decipher if that is what is holding up the BCB, maybe HP didn't confirm my order yet on my CC.

 

I'm delayed till the 23rd too. i can call and accept a 10% discount or cancel. Don't have much of a choice at this point.

What was good is that the rep confirmed that the $200 refund documentation was all there so that put me in a piece of mind.

I just called maybe an hour ago, got $200 credited to my card once it ships. I used student discount (10%) and fatwallet (5% which I hope still holds up and works), so the $200 off made the 30% cashback only about $30 cheaper, and would've had to return this one and waste time and all that, and wait to get the actual cash back, so this is a great deal
