Whew glad I made it in. Wasn't up for long. I think they just have a set amount of dollars put aside for something like this and once its gone its gone. Maybe there will be one more hail mary before July 30 for everyone that missed it. I wanted to get an HP Mini 311 base model just something to beat up on. So I do hope it comes back to at least 25% so I can get one for $300.

I just did it and showed 30%... went back a few minutes later and the advertisement showed 30% but the click through showed 5%...

 

Well fun's overand I was going to see if I can get the other $60 from my price match on BCB. They would probably feign ignorance when I ask for it.

 

so yeah, what they did was offer me 15% off, which worked out to be an additional 57 on top of the 100; she said she couldnt go higher, and i guess if the sale is over I dont want to have to call back and be SOL, taking it, over 200 off in the end...

 

this was the shortest deal ever. Glad I ordered it first thing. Although, I was thinking to order another one... ah well might come back again.

The former is 20% but the latter is 19%. (Not that it's a big difference)

I also wonder, when I clicked the bcb link to order earlier it was written 30% save up to 325$ or something like that, does that mean even if you get lets say 30% on a 2000$ order they will only give you back that 325$ max that was written or ?

Wow I guess HP noticed all of the sales with Bing Cashback and of course the people calling and complaining about the 30% and wanting to cancel and/or return the computer back. I'm sure the 2nd part was really annoying.

 

I feel bad for everyone that didn't get a chance to order. It was a short run for sure. Probably all of us Envy 14 buyers used up all the allocated funds, lol.

BCB is always a temporary thing, but usually not over this quickly. There's still almost three weeks of BCB program left, so maybe there will be one more 25 to 30% off. Last BCB was just about three weeks ago.

Yes! I got my order in like 5minutes before it reverted back to 5%! And if I didn't, oh there'll be hell to pay by Bing. I took screenshots of the bing page advertising the 30% off and the login page with 30% off. Like hell they'll tell me that I ordered too late because I did this within a time span of 30minutes (before it reverted to 5%).

 

I clicked on it and got only 5% right now...

 

prob cuz people are reordering... that cost HP alot of money lol~

Right, everything I've read about Bing is only thing that negates Bing is using a coupon, gift card, or other discount at time of sale. If your credit card gives you promotional offers for certain vendors then Bing and HP are none the wiser and doesn't affect it. I'm sure if HP drops the price to whatever they want you will still get the Bing Cashback. Just hold on to your email or reference number for future firepower should they try to do something stupid.

Bing doesn't have any hidden rules or anything.

on the bright side, i will just keep my original order and should have this baby in my hands in a few days.

my only regret is not upgrading to 8gb ram for dual channel because it seems like 6gb will not support it. though i have been getting all sorts of answers on this.

Sadly when it comes to money screenshots have no impact in negociation as they are (too ?) easy to photoshopdawoop. The only leverage you got is their mail confirmation (provided they are honest and keep records of their sent mail) if something goes wrong.

 

Whew! Saved about $243.85 using BCB instead of student discount!

Downside: Forgot to buy the damn skin.

 

Well, Im happy. I got a saweeet laptop with a 256gb SSD (see sig) for $1400 thanks to academic + $200 off.

 

I hate to be pessimistic but I would say no. This 30%, higher than it has ever been at HP, seems like it was a last hooray type thing to me.

 

wow I think I'm going to cry, I just sat down to order with 30% BCB + 5% CB from Discover to add on the 160 GB SSD but its back to 5% BCB...I really want to cry.

I'm almost 100% sure this won't happen again, HP must have complained to Bing about it...if they did it again it will be at 10% tops.

I am so upset....

why would they complain? It's come and gone in a day before, at 25%. Like I said, I'm sure they have a fixed amount of money to use towards the program, and once it's used up then the promotion is over.

To be honest I was shocked to see it happen so quickly again. There's a good chance it may come back once more before BCB ends completely.
