Yeah, I guess that's how it worked.

 

What if the first orders were built and they started stacking them in a container for shipment; they waited to fill that container because it's more economical. Somehow there was damage to that container (water, crushing) and a good portion of those early orders were damaged.

Those cartons were pulled and they were trying to salvage what they could so they could reassemble the notebooks and ready them for shipment. The ones they couldn't salvage wound up at the end of the assembly line and built new.

ok so who said the max was 200, I just tried to get my max credited back and got deferred 2 times to supervisors of supervisors and still my max was 175, trying to argue the bing cash back

Go into your options and change the forum skin to something else (NBR old, NBR mobile, vbulletin, whatever isn't the main).

'course...NBR old looks kinda like vbulletin and in general things look a bit off.

NBR mobile is text only, no special frames or anything.

 

I accidentally used a 50$ off coupon code when I ordered my HP Envy 14. Does that void my 30% BCB? I know it says it will in the FAQ, but I still have 437$ pending on my BCB Account.

Should I cancel my order just in case?

Because one person on the forum said to get one, but when I asked for one, they told me that the information is written in on my order and that all I need to do is mention my order number.

did someone say the slice is now 119? On HP direct it still shows as a $200 option. what part number should I ask about if I call? and, can I call to add this to an order I submitted earlier for the computer with the 30% bcb?

 

If you cancel, then you can't get the 30% again, so I'd say try to not make any attention to it and hope that it goes through.

 

There I was thinking I had a day or two to decide. I figured I would start doing the math, wondering whether I should get a SSD or not when I read BCB went back to 5%. NOOO!!!

I was pretty p.o. because this it what I was waiting for... after staying up until 2am on the 27th... THIS was it, and I let it slip through my fingers.

But wait, I remembered that I DID click the link... yes, I did... but would it still work... Screw it, no time to think, that's what got me the last time. I submitted the order as fast as my 10mb cable connection would allow. Now to wait, will the confirmation email come????

 

I am fighting so hard on getting credit back on the slim fit battery right now. The rep told me that the $150 dollar batter is not the same as the $200 one because the 200 one is an "Extended life battery" and the 150 is a standard battery.

To be short she is not willing to give me back money, but I'm prying at her

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to attempt the screen-shot 30% BCB. I've heard of people getting it to work in the past, but might be difficult.

 

I've grown use to the current NBR skin.

it centers things on my screen a bit compared to the others.

 

I'd call to see if i can void the coupon somehow...because if you leave it, chances are your BCB will be voided. Coupons don't get voided.

Well considering the battery is located at the front of the notebook, and under a hatch that also covers the HDD bay, it would look awfully awkward if it ended up being anything like the picture of a typical over sized battery.

I just stated that...

(A) I ordered my laptop on June 27th and was hit with build and shipping delays.
(B) I spent A LOT of money on this laptop ($2000) - I acknowledged I had a student discount
(C) BCB reached 30% today - which for me is $600. I said it would make sense for me to return my laptop and wait for BCB to get higher again since it is way more than I save with my student discount.

At that point they offered me a $70 credit (in addition to my previous $50). I stated that while that is incredibly kind, it is still a huge difference from the hundreds I could save by waiting out BCB.

Fearing they might lose my offer they then upped me to an additional $150 credit (bringing my total to $200). This of course needed approval from a supervisor.

So all in all - 10% Student Discount + $200 Credit + Complimentary Notebook Sleeve

I also gave the service rep very good ratings on the survey at the end, he deserved it.

I'd call HP and ask them to take off the $50 coupon because you don't want to lose out on your 30% Bing Cashback. At least then you'd have some sort of record to throw at bing to show HP knew about it and agreed.

No luck for me either. Kept saying it's Bing's problem not theirs.

The price of my laptop was 1030 with the academic discount (1107 after taxes) and I got the $200 credit.

 

as my initial predictions came true today, I have a feeling that we'll still see one more temporary boost before bing cashback is phased out.

Yeah doing the math took some time...but we were dumb to have even done it. 30% is a lot of money, regardless.....which is why I'm so upset I missed it.
