    Yep, I agreed to the survey. It's just asking how well they helped you. Either that, or she forgot to give me the survey. I was too busy flirting with the lady on the phone.

    Tip: Kindness on the phone goes a long way. Complaining about getting your money back is what they hear all day. Make the ladies laugh and you'll be more likely to get what you want. Worked for me. ;)

    guys when u first bought a laptop for university, was it really hard? :( why is it so hard :mad: :(

    Man how hard is it find a perfect laptop with lots of power, portability, versatility and all that. Doesn't even one company make laptops like this? Also why is HP customer service so bad........ :mad: ...

    I ordered the 520m and the 500GB HDD on the 27th, order was supposed to ship the 7th, got delayed until today (the 12th), and was indeed shipped this morning, although it missed the pickup cutoff in shanghai and is currently awaiting customs clearance, so ETA is the 16th.

    Hopefully this is an okay thread to post about a bing.com and $200 success story, as I can't risk getting divided by zero by 2.0!

    So I got $499 pending with bing.com and HP just gave me $200 and told me it was a special one time gesture. I now have two Envy 14's coming my way and will most likely be selling the second one at cost. (minus the $200 I got) Bing I feel is a risk in even going through after the $200 credit, so if I can sell at cost at least my risk will be negligible.

    I think hp or bing ended the 30% off party. Does not show up anymore. Probably saw the flood of "give me some money back" and so had it axed.

    HP definitely isnt alone in the terrible customer service category. hp envy 14 will be my first laptop for university and it was indeed a rigorous task researching to find the perfect blend of power and portability but I think I made the right decision with the envy 14

    Got a notice that mine is being shipped. No later than the 15th 4:30pm. Called hp and ed that it was more than 2 day shipping and delay. Guy(i think it was a guy lol) was really nice and gave me $110 back on my credit card. That plus the 25 gift card puts the total to $135. I also plan on ing about battery life once I recieve the laptop. Hoping there's no shipping delay since I'm flying back to India on the 18th.

    Some guys on here have gotten their Bing confirmation minutes after ordering. Is anyone else on here still waiting on the confirmation? I ordered around 5 hours ago and haven't gotten it. My Bing cashback page shows nothing pending.

    Took plenty of screen shots just in case, but hope this doesn't turn into a big hassle.

    Nah. Wait at least 48 hours from when you ordered, then send Bing's CSR department an e-mail. They'll reply within a few hours, so be ready to submit a copy/paste or a screenshot when requested. You'll get your money.

    I started to cry like a baby and I think she felt embarrassed for me, so caved and coughed up the $200. :p

    I just said that I felt it was too expensive for me, but I'd keep it for $200 and at the same time save HP money from having to pay for return shipping etc.

    So $1764-$700= $1064 shipped for a Envy 14 with i5-450m, 160GB SSD and 8GB RAM. Not bad at all.

    Maybe I should try and call to get a student discount credited as well? lol

    yep, ordered on the 29th, and people who orderdd july 1st on here said theres shipped on schedule on the 12th!!! Im going to call and complain, they are going to get an earful too!!!

    Figures the one day i do not check the thread BING offer 30% off... now when i try to go to BING i just see 5%... am i doing something wrong or did they pull the 30%?

    Also can anyone tell me if ATI HD 5650M 1Gig ram is a better card then ATI Radion 2900 with 512 ram?

    No, I used paypal. Same email address for bing, hp, and paypal. Called HP who said to wait at least 24 hours and then call back if it still hasn't shown up.

    200 credit is basically they credit back 200 dollars to your credit card, so you save 200 bucks. Another question for the peeps who got 200 bucks discount. WHEN YOU ORDERED, did you get Norton Antivirus for 15 months for 1 dollar? Cause I only got 175 cash back but I got that for 1 dollar. So maybe that was the difference as now Norton is 30 bucks

They also have no problem sending jobs to the Philippines to save money, so why should I not try to do the same. If you don't you are a chump, in my opinion. In reality, Ethics are relative. It is easy to say you have never stolen anything when you are filthy rich, but it is much harder for the starving bum. Read philosophy for 2 years (I did for 5 and got a BA in it) and you will see the light.

    esumsea, do your orders have EPP_ in front of them? (Check in order status at the website)

    I didn't log into my student account but mine has EPP_ label. Bing might think I got student discount, but I didn't. It might be the case for you too.

    Instead of trying to compensate me for the TWO WEEK DELAY, she said that that blank spot in the email where it suld say (in so many days it will ship) means it could be delayed even further!! they didnt put anything there to make sure they didnt screw themselves (thats what she said)

    So i just spent $1100 on a laptop I need in Aug, and it wont even ship till the end of july or later?!?!?
    I want to cancel just because I am so mad at HP!!!! Idk, this is the laptop I want :/
