Ahh the dilemma. Since my BCB didn't register the first time around and I'm pursuing Bing attempt to credit me, I can either wait it out and see what they say...or purchase a second one and hope the BCB goes through this time. Obviously now that it's at 30% again, I would hope they are rational and would credit me for the first purchase.

Dang, two days in a ROW! I still want to get an HP Mini 311, but money won't be in my account until tomorrow. Sigh. I can never win. Don't think I want to hit my mom up for another $400, lol.

 

If I were you, I would order again, and just cancel the first order if you have the credit/cash available to order a second one.

I bought one for my wife and was really unimpressed.

Build quality was subpar, and the fan was quite annoying.

Really? I just want a throw away netbook. Something that I don't care if I beat up, nothing real expensive, although I do have a few basic standards like 1366x768 screen, and having a decent GPU is nice for playing a few basic 3D games which the ION can handle. It also gets good battery life (6.5 hrs HP claims which probably ~5 hrs real life) With 30% BCB discount it will cost me about $300 shipped with tax. I have another 2GB RAM chip already and a 320GB 7200RPM HDD that I can throw in there so it will at least be half-way decent.

edit: Hmmm, just looked at the Mini 210 and looks like I can get it with the larger battery for $350 - 30% BCB = $266 after shipping and taxes...

 

I can see only 5% still ... am i doing something wrong ...guys please guide me ...

I got the same lady twice and she is not budging to give me $200 credit instead of the $140 credit.

 

HP told me last night I can't cancel once the order is confirmed. My only option would be to take delivery, return the first item, and wait for the credit.

I bought one for my wife at xmas and already the keyboard is falling apart.
W7 is quite sluggish even with 3gb ram, even the brightness adjustment seems sluggish
It does get approx 5hrs
I tried to run a few games but the atom really struggles. I guess old games will be ok but then, you would probably be able to play that type of game on intel gfx

does anybody think that it is worth it to buy a couple of Envy 14s w/ 30% BCB, and then sell them on EBAY?

 

If I were you I would just spend $50 more and get the dm1z. HP quotes the battery life for it higher than all their minis and the processor and graphics are much better.

 

I already ordered one 450m 4gig + two others that I'll resale later...
Even if bing fails at giving me money back I think it's worth it.

Okay, so hp added my configurarion to a shopping cart and saved it under my account. They instantly gave me $167 off. Its not a coupon, there is no coupon put in, so could i combine that with the bcb?

which are..well..catalyst 10.3 is 8.172 so cat 10.3 modified I guess

Hmm, good point. If I get the dm1z with the dual core CPU, vs. Mini 210 (I was reconsidering) I'm looking at about $30-$35 difference. Just realized my RAM I have is DDR2 not DDR3, so it wouldn't work anyhow.
