    How long does the BCB email take to go through after ordering? I ordered RIGHT before the pop-up changed to 5% again; I'm -really- hoping I didn't get f'd and missed the 30% by a few minutes. Nothing is showing in my BCB account but the order is showing "Order being verified" in my HP account, so I'm not worried just yet but I am a bit concerned...

    There is definitly a glitch going on... it keeps changing back and forth, so even if you somehow get click though on 30%, I have a feeling they won't honor it.

    I'm curious about this as well. I started out my order at the 30% rate, but from reading the threads, it dropped to 5% while I was configuring my order.

    Oh, and as a side question, how long does it take to receive the email about your cashback? I ordered about 20 minutes ago and haven't received one. My Bing account (which I was logged in under) uses a different email address than my HP account, and I'm concerned that could cause a problem.

    Yup, got mine within 5 min but it shows 5% CB instead of 30% when I started my order....can someone please advise me on how to go about rectifying this? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Ok I have a question: I placed an order online with BCB, but decided a couple minutes later that I wanted to make a change to it. So I contacted HP hoping to make the change, but they instead offered me a $50 credit to keep the original order so they would not have to cancel it. I took the offer, but will this $50 credit void the BCB?

    I used the same email for bing/hp/ebay and haven't gotten my confirmation email after 20+ hours... Opened a service request last night with screen shots of everything and pdf docs of my HP receipt and paypal payment. No response from a rep yet..

    jesus, just missed this BCB
    I called in yesterday and got $200 back though which was pretty much just as good (after 5% fatwallet and 10% student as well)...question though, I don't see the $200 credit on my account, when should that show up? My laptop just shipped this morning too.

    You got the pending credit in 2 minutes? It's been 20 for me and I've seen nothing, then again HP hasn't even emailed me their confirmation. Maybe I'm watching the pot too closely hoping it will boil...

    that means you'll be receiving a call from HP to confirm the order. even after you confirm the order and receive the conf e-mail from HP, you'll have to contact bing to get your cashback.

    that's what's happening with me now. :mad:

    i can't believe i missed it again. ? this is bull. the first time i did it this morning was 30%. went to get a credit card....didn't remember if i logged in. 5%. wow.

    my Bing CB email took about 15min and the actual Order confirmation email from HP took like 30min.

    Yeah. I submitted the order with an incorrect billing address and so they authorized (but didn't process) the charge to my AMEX. Then the next charge got flagged as fraud, so I had to call AMEX and verify. Now HP is probably hung up on something. Argh. They're going to make me miss the BCB deal if they screw this up.

    My first HP email took about 1/2 hr, but my second one which confirms it took about 5 hours.

    All in all, I got my BCB 30% but Im not adding any other discounts to it, im not going to screw it up..

    If I see the 30% tonight, I'm ordering a second envy 14 with quad core :)

    Is it back to 5% again? I'm out of the states and I can't order from here. As soon as the pop up said 30% I called my brother to tell him to get it for me but by the time I got through it was back to 5%.
    Same thing happened yesterday :(
    Although it took me 5 hours to get through yesterday!

    To those of you who have had success getting HP to lower the price of the laptop:

    1) What things did you complain about to get them to lower the price?
    2) How much did you get taken off?
    3) How should HP structure these "credits" so as to not interfere with Bing cashback?

    I didn't think using BCB would be such a stressful process :p Ordered just before it went to 5%...I hope. I was checking the pop-up constantly and I'm fairly confident it was still saying 30% when i ordered, but I have no way of knowing because 1) No confirmation email from HP 2) no confirmation email from BCB other than the "finish creating your account" one, and 3) no pending anything showing in my BCB account. It's not helping that I'm freaking myself out thinking I did something wrong like used two different email addresses for BCB and HP.com or something stupid like that.

    I got the "finish creating your account" email, but now HP is holding up the order from their end. I already called to make sure my credit card knows it's not fraud, now I have to convince HP of the same thing. I just damn well better get my 30% BCB or I'm canceling this order.

    Amen to that. Only reason I bothered was because the BCB was too good to pass up; if I somehow missed out on that I'm going to rage at both MS's and HP's customer support until this second order is canceled.

    Last time I ordered someone from HP called me and asked some verification questions...I'm sure I'll have to wait for that a second time before I find out if the 30% took or not :(

    I just called to get a refund for my shipping and the rep credited my account immediately and told me,
    "enjoy your beautiful new envy 14 and have a wonderful life."
    Much better experience than last time! It probably helped that I told her I would take the survey.

    I called HP, they say their review process on flagged orders like mine can take as long as 24-48 hours! :eek: Well, I guess I'll just wait and if the 30% BCB doesn't show up after that I'll just cancel the order.

    24-48 hours?! Oh well...I suppose my life was a bit too stress-free since its summer. The Universe doesn't like letting my blood pressure have a break for too long :p

    But it's worth it I suppose. First order: 520m, 160gb ssd, used 10% student discount: 1545 w/2-day shipping. Second order: 520m, 160gb ssd, SLICE :)D): 1345 w/2-day shipping after 30% BCB. Hard to say no to the same system + the slice for less than I paid the first time.

    Yeah. My first order came to just short of $1800. This second order, if the 30% BCB works out, will come to just above $1700 including the 256GB SSD. :) I just hope the BCB comes through for me!

    I was promised a $200 credit yesterday from HP...I can't remember if they said I would get it once it shipped or once I got it, but it shipped today and I see no credit...when should I expect to get it? Kind of worried about not ever getting it lol...then I'll be pissed.

    I dont think this was answered, but how does bing pay you back? I used a US credit card, so will they give me the cash back on that? I know it takes 60 days, but I just want to know how they give your money back.
