Good deal! Just made the changes myself and everything's in order...Now, if my new CC would arrive tomorrow before a potential 30% BCB expires!

I interpret this as, aslong as you make an order within 24 hours you should get the precent that you clicked on. As, the popup that comes up while it transfers you to hp says you will get that precentage durring that visit. So I really feel like I have bing beat here, they say on there site a visit is within 24 hours, and the popup said I would get 30% on this visit.

How long does it usually take for bing to confirm your purchase and give you the cashback? Right now, mine says "pending" and it shows the amount i'm going to receive which is the 30%.

 

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS...because i realized im using the same account that my sister used to buy her hp laptop and she used an student discount..so when i call hp tommor..they will proally say the same thing they said to you...man i hope bing doesnt cancel it

I really.. really need a good BCB. My 3 yr old dv9500t has survived the nvidia graphics card fiasco... but my goodness. It sounds like a helicopter just surfing the internet and gives off enough heat under the lightest work load that it is anything but a laptop!!!

 

Well regarding my post earlier about stacking Bing + ebates (4%) cashback, I just read through Bing's and Microsoft's FAQ and Service Agreement and it does not mention anything about voiding cashback by using multiple cashback programs.

Is your BCB account showing anything? Mine isn't showing any activity at all and that is what has me worried. The only thing I'm waiting for is my order to go from "Item Processing" to whatever the next step is (dropped to factory?). If BCB doesn't update by then, I'm contacting them :\

Oh, also, what does everyone make of "(f) the store does not report the purchase to us" from that list that soopervoo just posted? Does that mean "even if the store screws up and you made a legit purchase by clicking our link...you're screwed"?

The ones who're claiming multi-dippers will get their BCB canceled are the ones who typically enjoy spreading FUD for unexplained reasons. Try asking any one of them for a source or a link to a forum discussion in which someone explicitly states their BCB was canceled for combining cashbacks. Answers that run along the lines of "I've also heard lots of people that weren't successful" don't exactly cut it when I can easily find threads and posts from slickdeals and elsewhere in which people on multiple occasions reveal that they always multi-dip with at least two other cashbacks and Discover.

click on the "pending" tab, it'll show you how many days you have left untill youre cash back is available. (58 days here lol)

 

i know i had a total of $700 off my laptop of $1700 so it was a fantastic deal for me, and it would break my spirit if i loose $468 of the $700 i got off. making a the best deal possible just an ok deal.

so..in which direction does the plane fly? im assming they fly west towards california. i really hope it drops off at california...i mean it would really be a waste of cargo space to fly pass california, all the way to memphis, then back to cali. all i can do now is hope hp knows how to save earths resources

 

They I think go to Anchorage, then to memphis, then to your closest main Fedex distribution center (mine is apparently Orlando Florida if my notebook sleeve is any indication)

This happened to me as well. I took screen shots of the costs with and without EPP and also the invoice to prove that I paid the full price. Bing customer service told me if my cash back is canceled, I can show them the screen shots and they will assist me further. Nothing is guaranteed though.
The HP CSR thought I got student discount at first but she calculated it herself and realized I didn't. She did NOT change the order label, however. She said to call when the time comes... AUGH!

 

i will have to go hunting for a big enough leather bound book that's old, cheap, salvageable, and useless (so i can big rectangles from most of the pages to fit the laptop in). i'll probably post something here if i ever find something. i might settle for a hardcover with some kind of padding inside. we'll see how motivated i am for DIY projects haha.

what we need is for someone to call HP and ask them about all their details about the bing cashback program such as what qualifies for bcb and if we can stack it with coupons or student discount, because from all i read ..its all up to HP and i dont know anything about how they deal with their bcb....really need this to happened

And i just called HP, the rep told me that since i am located in california, it will be directly shipped there =D im so excited!! someone posted a pic of their envy shipment status, once it was in transit (July 12 11pm Shanghai time) it arrived in memphis on july 12 11pm

So it is safe to assume that mine will arrive most likely the 15th...and POSSIBLY the 14th *fingers crossedddd*

i know i have spent over 2 hours on the phone talking to them about this subject and this is so far what i have got: the over the phone discounts that they offer will not affect bing cashback, was confirmed by 3 different supervisors and i asked for the latter one to send me a verification email so i have it in writing but i have not got it and i kidda think its not coming. If you were signed into your student account at the time of the purchase, whether or not you got 10% off or not, they marked it as you got a student discount and will in turn get your Bing Cashback canceled. on the bing side i emailed about the over the phone discounts and they say that it would void it but the response was a quote from there website and not a thought out human response. i also emailed bing about the student discount fiasco and am currently awaiting a response. fingers crossed because i got $476 riding on it.

I just remembered I ordered with 30% BCB on my APP account but didn't have the 10% off. Did you not get your BCB email after you ordered or what? I seriously hope I dont get screwed..
