    Arite thanks alot hopefully this will help not void the bcb amd def need to get this in an email. It sucks because bing will probably only confirm the bcb after the 21 day return period is over...is their any other eay you can confirm your getting the check?

    Question to Harb67 & others in similar situation -
    I got the Bing email showing 30% shortly after ordering Tuesday morning. But as of now (Wednesday morning), my Bing account shows no trace of the transaction whatsoever. Is this the same scenario for you guys also? Is it common to get the email shortly after completion of purchase, but for the transaction to take time to appear in your actual account?

    In case people are interested, I called FedEx and apparently my laptop (and presumably other people's as well) is in a group of 264 (first was quoted 3300 or something like that) other packages that were delayed due to not having paperwork.

    Customs now has paperwork and she said that they typically just go ahead and release it. If they were to release it sometime today there is still a chance that it will arrive by the estimated arrival time (for me, tomorrow by 4:30). She did say that customs typically works at night so to check back in the morning for more info.

    Hope this helps some people out

    For those with Clearance Delays, here's all the information I've been able to piece together from brief phone calls with hp, fed-ex, and from message boards.

    1) There's nothing you can do at the moment other than wait. It just takes a little time for the paperwork HP sent to customs (which they did send) to get processed.

    2) My order which is still listed as 'clearance delay' actually cleared customs at 9:30 am this morning. I verified this through a fed-ex representative.

    3) Its likely that your order will say 'clearance delay' until, or even after, your order is actually delivered. So don't worry to much if the status doesn't change. This has happened to a lot of other people as well, an item will be listed as 'delayed' for three days straight and show up on the doorstep anyway.

    4) Even with the clearance delay, Fed-ex is confident my order will be delivered to me in Boston (from Memphis) by tomorrow at 4pm. They automatically expedite the shipping following a delay.

    I'm guessing if my package cleared customs it should be true for all PC's in the shipments, so cross your fingers the first batch should be in the customers hands by the weekend.

    Dang it. I'm on a T-Mobile prepaid plan, but I can't seem to set my Gmail so that it forwards text messages to my phone! The (10digitphonenumber)@tmomail.net forwarding e-mail doesn't work.

    So I know this is a bit off topic. But, my orignal order of a dv6tse is being delivered today. From my understanding I can open the box, try the laptop out, then send it back in a couple days for a full refund? I have an envy 14 on the way now, so oviously I want the full refund, but I'd kind of like to try this thing out to, since I have another 2 weeks minimum before my envy will get here. Thanks

    Same here. Ordered on the morning of the 8th with 5-7 shipping too. That's earlier than expected. I better hurry about getting some credit back on that slice battery. They still have no information on the "standard vs. extended-life" battery.

    Just got off the phone with HP and my second credit is already being processed, so I should see that in the next day or two.

    Hopefully my second order will get it's $200 credit as well, but won't know until that ships on the 22nd.

    To process a return or exchange

    We only accept returns for orders placed with the HP Home & Home Office Store by phone or online. We can not accept returns or exchanges for the HP Parts Store, the HP Small & Medium Business Store, repairs, or any other online store or retail outlet.

    Returns requests can be initiated by phone, or for many products by online chat.
    Step 1: Request a return material authorization number (RMA)
    * Call 1-888-650-1544 or use online chat (details below).
    * An RMA is required for all returns and exchanges.


    Step 2: Print your Return Label
    * You will promptly receive an email notification from FedEx that your HP Home & Home Office pre-paid return shipping label is available.

    Have you checked out the Bing Cashback forums yet?
    If buying a new external HDD, it may not hurt to take advantage of the faster speeds available with eSATA that's comes on the E14. I have a 1tb eSATA/ usb 2.0 HDD from Lacie.

    I'm in a similar boat, with a dv6tse being delivered later this week. Planning to have a little shoot-out to see which one I keep. It mostly comes down to the multi-touch screen on the dv6tse versus the higher screen resolution on the e14.

    Of course if my BCB doesn't work then the e14 will probably be going back either way.

    Thanks very much for this useful information. So, even though I'm still at "clearance delay" in Memphis, it's still possible that I'll receive my package tomorrow? Like you, I'm in Boston- well, Somerville actually, but whatever. It would be useful to know when the package is on the van, so that I can stay home from the lab that day and sign for it when it arrives.

    There's no guarantees of course - but the woman I spoke to seemed pretty confident it would arrive tomorrow, the only time estimate she could give was "before 4pm". I live in boston but I'm having the computer shipped to my work in Medford which is right beside Somerville, so I would guess your and my pc's will be neighbors right until they go on the trucks for delivery.

    I called HP and I might be having the same problem with the APP..I didn't get the 10% off my laptop because I wasn't logged in to any account when I bought the second envy so I am pretty sure I am in the clear but he said it should be ok.

    How long does it take for Bing customer support to get back with you? I know it says 48 hours, but is it usually sooner than that? Two days seems like a LONG time to get something resolved, especially if you have to go back and forth on a few things.

    Did you get the G1 or G2, the G2 cost around 300-400 on the market.
