True. But I'm inclined to believe HP might be able to pull strings. I've had 2 CSRs tell me they can have my package delivered to the nearest FedEx center even though I'm not ordering via FedEx express. But then again, with CSRs, it's hard to tell whether there's any credibility to their word.

 

Yours or ours? Sort of pessimistic if you're talking about ours considering it passed customs at least. I'd be willing to bet a shiny penny, maybe TWO that it'll be on time at 4:30 pm.

Mine is should be going to MSP airport as well but my log says it left at 4:01 PM which leads me to believe it left on the flight to Memphis?

There would be no direct flight from Anchorage to Minneapolis/St Paul. All flights enter a distrubution hub then go back out on the same flights. Hub and spoke design. So, the MSP flight is inbound to the hub along with the Anchorage flight. They take the packages, route and load and that same MSP plane brings our goodies north again.

 

there's also a flight to newark that left at 4:14pm for the east coasters. idk if any laptops went that route.

Yep ... that's the flight that my laptop is on. I'm thinking that it can probably get to my house by the 4:30 PM estimate tomorrow.

I love Los Angeles traffic. I missed my delivery, so I went to the FedEx facility to pick it up. It took me an hour and a half to drive 18 miles, and I got there 10 minutes after the place closed. All the doors were locked up tight, and the employees were already packed up and leaving the parking lot. lol... oh well, looks like I will be envyless for one more night.

awww , Newark,NJ is only a 4 hour drive from where I live in Virginia. That is total BULL because my E14 is on the Memphis flight....thats a 14 hour road trip to VA. Which if everything is EXACTLY on time...it should arrive today ~4:30-5:00PM.

what does your status say after "intl released"? mine says "in transit", but i saw some other person had "departed fedex facility"

 

mine says "in transit" as of 4:17 pm. If that is indeed our flight, we should get an update on fedex tracker soon.

 

EDIT: nevermind...it wasnt the JFK airport....the one in irvine is the john wayne airport xD

The Fedex guy usually stops by my place at 11am-12pm. My cellphone I had shipped to me got to my place at 11:12am so I can only hope my package will be here in the morning. I checked out my cousins tracking and Fedex does a LOT overnight. it's crazy.

tried to get $100 off by calling HP and threat to cancel the order because I wanted to downgrade the spec...it doesn't work, the rep told me to just wait for the laptop and return it once I get it and in the meantime she can assist me in creating on a new order. I think it depend on the sales people mood, I have to count on BCB then ><.

When did you order?

I had two items coming. The first was ordered on the 27th, supposed to be built by the 7th and missed instead going out on the 12th (atleast tracking number created). ETA was the 15th then the 16th. My second one, ordered on the 29th, supposed to be built on the 9th was delayed and then shipped on the 13th. That item actually rode the same flight from Shanghai with the first item. It is now in the same status as yours. Still on track for the 20th as the ETA. The pallets are marked accordingly so there is an order to the process. They will also be marked to go to one of the three main hubs (Oakland, Newark or Memphis).

at least they are honest about yours...mine says in transit, which i thought meant on the plane...but i saw earlier someone had "departed fedex facility". mine still says in transit, i called fedex and she told me that my package is still in alaska, and the facility there is closed. sigh...this pathetic ughhhhh...is it too much to ask to fit an extra 100lbs (10 envys) at least?!?

It will change overnight when it misses the hub transaction. That is when the ETA is calculated.

 

I guess the laptop has lived up to its name.
